"Baby Mina hasn't been picking up any of our calls, I'm getting worried"

"Sweetie calm down, Mina is a grown woman and I'm pretty sure she isn't responding because she's with Y/N"

Mina's mother looked at her husband with worry and shook her head. "No, even if Y/N was over there, she would still pick up," Her mother insisted.

"Okay baby what are we supposed to do? We are on a cruise, we can't teleport back home, now can we?" Her husband asked sarcastically.

Mina's mother glared at the man and called her neighbor. Her heart was pounding and she felt like she was going to die.

Mina never missed a call from her mother, and if she did, she would call her back when she had time.

Ever since Friday, Mina hasn't been answering any phone calls or texts that her mother was sending her, and each time, it was making her think the worst.

"Baby, what are you doing?" Mina's father questioned as he walked over to his wife.

"I'm calling our neighbors what does it look like I'm doing?" She huffed.

"Baby, are you going to bother them for this? I promise you that Mina is okay" He said as he slowly walked over to her. He took the phone out of her hand and pulled her into a tight hug.

"Mina is a big girl, she is okay, and when we get home, we can ask her why she wasn't talking to us, okay?" He said while rubbing her back.

Mina's mother hesitantly nodded her head and then hugged her husband tighter. "Sorry," she mumbled.

When Mina's mother calmed down, the two parents went back to enjoying their vacation, trying their best to ignore the feeling of dread that was filling their heads.

Once their cruse was done, Mina's parents quickly packed their things and went home still worried about their daughter. As they got closer, Mina's mother once again tried to call her daughter and was once met with a voicemail.

"Baby, we're down the street, don't worry," Her husband spoke.

Mina's mother stayed silent not listening to her husband. She knew something was wrong with Mina, she missed so many calls and text messages that she thought about terrible things.

What if she ran away? What if she was in jail for something bad?

What if she was killed?

Her mother didn't want to think that way, but as they got closer, she just couldn't help but start to cry.

"Baby, what's wrong?" He asked while pulling into the garage.

Mina's mother didn't even reply as she quickly got out of the car and ran inside her house, calling for Mina. As soon as she stepped into the kitchen, the smell of blood filled her nose, causing her to cry more.

There were bloody kitchen knives in the sink, a blood saw, and red-soaked clothes all on the counter.

"M-Mina where are you?" Her voice cracked. She stumbled past the kitchen into the living room, hoping to find Mina.

"Baby, what's going on?" Mina's father asked while walking inside. He stopped his in tracks as he noticed all the bloody items in his kitchen.

"W-What happened?" He stammered.

Mina's mother continued to look around and saw a long trail of blood leading towards the bathroom. She immediately followed the trail, ignoring her husband's pleas for her to come back.

Her heart started to pound quicker and quicker as she got closer to the room. She stood in front of the door and let out a shakey cry before slamming the door open.

She let out a loud cry as she was met with her daughter's decapitated head on the bathroom sink.

She fell to the ground and cried as her daughter's lifeless head stared at her.

"Baby what'd wr-"

Her father stood there in shock as he was met with his child's head. He quickly grabbed onto his wife and dragged her outside.

"Baby, we can't stay in there." He huffed as he continued to drag her.

Mina's mother continued to scream and cry as she held onto her husband. Her baby was murdered, and that killer was walking around without any consequences.

"Oh my, what's wrong?"

Mina's father turned around to see their next-door neighbor and his family all staring at him with concerned expressions.

"P-Please call the police! Someone killed Mina" He yelled.

Their neighbor quickly ran into the house while his wife came over to Minas mother and tried her best to comfort her.

"There was blood everywhere!" She sobbed.

The neighbor couldn't do anything but try and comfort her friend as best as she could. Knowing what she just saw, she knew Mina's mother was never going to heal after that.

"My husband is calling the police, don't worry," she said as she rubbed her back.

When the police finally came and Mina's parents were finally calmed down, they sat outside their house questioning the parents as best as they could.

"Do you know if your daughter had anyone over while the two of you were gone?" One of the police asked.

"I-I mean, that only person I do know she would bring over would be Y/N Sully," Mina's mother replied.

"But Y/N would never do something like this," Mina's father interrupted. "The two of them have been best friends since they were kids," He spoke.

"You never know that, sir; most murders happen by a close friend or relative," The office replied.

"Do you know where Y/N might live?" The office asked.

"She lives down the street in the big white house," The father said.

The office hummed as he wrote down all the information he could get. He made sure all of his men went house to house asking if they had seen anything, He even walked inside looking to see if there was any evidence of the killer they might have left behind.

He wanted to catch this killer and make them pay.

Who could do such a terrible thing to a lovely girl and leave her for her parents to find?

"Mrs. Grey and Mr. Grey, I promise that we will not rest until we find your daughter's killer and punish them for what they did," He spoke.

A small smile grew on Mina's mother's face. It was nice to know that the police were going to help.

She grabbed his hand and held it tightly "What's your name?" She asked.

"My name is Officer Jace, but you can just call me Jace, ma'am." He smiled back.

"Thank you so much" She spoke.

"Don't thank me, it's my job to do this" He replied. Jace looked at the family's house again then sighed "I'm sorry to inform you but the two of you won't be able to stay in your house for a while" He said.

"We know" Mina's father spoke "We are going to go stay with my parents" He explained.

"Well that's good, again I'm so sorry this happened to you two" Jace apologized.

Mina's parents thanked the man then asked if they could leave, telling the man they didn't want to be around the house anymore.

When they both left, Jace immediately got back to work.

He promised them he would find their killer and he would keep that promise.
