(Y/N): So what's your name?

Shishigawara: Moe Shishigawara! Mr. Tsukishima told me about you, (Y/N) (L/N)!

(Y/N): *thinking* That name... Yoko-chin was pretty close. No wonder he butchered the name. Shishigawara is pretty difficult to remember.

(Y/N): Alright, so if I win this fight, will you tell me everything about Tsukishima?

Shishigawara: Beating me is a pipe dream. But if that were to happen I would have no choice! (Y/N): *thinking* He's simple minded. Makes it all the more easier to get info out of him.

(Y/N) had to be careful. Shishigawara trained his body enough to use a fullbring, meaning Shishigawara was physically stronger than him. Many of (Y/N)'s training didn't apply to his human body. (Y/N) was just barely considered superhuman. He was at a disadvantage... However...

(Y/N): *thinking* I know my way around street fights because of Ichigo and Chad but I also took karate classes as a kid and trained and practice in Hakuda with Yoruichi, Soi-Fon and Mashiro. That's a lot more experience than most people. I'll use that to even the odds.

(Y/N) then saw Shishigawara tie a headband around his right hand. The headband then transformed into a brass knuckle

Shishigawara: Here I come!

(Y/N): Why are you announcing that you're approaching me?

Shishigawara threw a right hook which (Y/N) dodged effortlessly. (Y/N) went on the offensive, not wanting to get hit in any way by Shishigawara's fullbring.

(Y/N) threw multiple punches at Shishigawara, forcing him to block, however Shishigawara was overwhelmed, This resulted in (Y/N) grabbing him by the collar and throwing him over his shoulder.



(Y/N) tried to quickly reach for his combat pass that was in Shishigawara's pocket but the fullbringer retaliated by headbutting (Y/N).

Shishigawara got off the ground and landed a punch to (Y/N)'s stomach with his right hand.

Shishigawara: JACKPOT!

(Y/N) was sent flying into a nearby wall. (Y/N) felt pain shoot through his entire body as he tried to shake off the dizziness he felt after hitting the wall.

(Y/N): *thinking* Physical Fullbrings are crazy... I'll worry about the combat pass later... I'll just worry about the fight...

As (Y/N) got back on his feet, Shishigawara rushed back in for another punch.

Shishigawara: You're still standing? Psh... Plain ol' luck. This next punch will keep you down!

Shishigawara ran towards (Y/N) and threw another right hook. (Y/N) dodged again. Shishigawara then tried to go for the same attack a few more times but (Y/N) evaded every single punch.

(Y/N): *thinking* He's only going to attack with his right hand. He's not attacking me with his left because his right hand is what holds his fullbring. I'm not sure he even realizes how predictable he is.

(Y/N) evaded another punch from Shishigawara and retaliated with a barrage of punches aimed at his head and chest.



(Y/N) finished his onslaught with a kick to Shishigawara's chest.

Shishigawara shook off the pain and ran back in with a strong right punch, which (Y/N) blocked. Despite blocking the attack, (Y/N) could feel it in his entire body.



(Y/N): *thinking* I'm going to feel that one in the morning...

Despite the pain, (Y/N) stood strong. (Y/N) realized that Shishigawara was breathing pretty hard.

(Y/N): *thinking* He isn't that experienced in combat. He exhausted himself already... I can end this right now.

(Y/N) and Shishigawara started to trade blows.



However (Y/N) realized that Shishigawara's punches were starting to get weaker.

Shishigawara: What the... Don't tell me my luck ran out? I didn't hit the jackpot nearly enough times.

(Y/N): Sounds like your fullbring isn't working as intended.

Shishigawara: S-Shut up! I can still- Huh?

While Shishigawara was talking, (Y/N) got ready to land his final attack.



(Y/N) landed a devastating punch to Shishigawara's chest, knocking him down. Shishigawara was still conscious. However, before (Y/N) could even speak to him, he heard a new but familiar voice enter the conversation as the person in question appeared behind Shishigawara.

"Even without your powers, you fight exceptionally, (Y/N)."

(Y/N) looked up and saw Tsukishima.

Tsukishima: You've done your job, Shishigawara.

Shishigawara: B-but I lost...

Tsukishima: You're only job was to wear him down. I'll take care of the rest.

Tsukishima activated his Fullbring as he walked towards (Y/N).

(Y/N): *thinking* I'm screwed... I can't escape him...

(Y/N) tried to rack his brain for an idea until...

Thanatos... This is possibly a life or death situation. You have permission to take over...

Right before Tsukishima could strike (Y/N) with his sword, (Y/N)'s body fell limp as his soul exited his body. This time, however, (Y/N) wasn't wearing his Shinigami Shihakusho. (Y/N) was in his resurreccion form.

Tsukishima was surprised as Thanatos, who was now in control, reflected the attack.

Tsukishima: What's this? This isn't a form of a shinigami.

Thanatos: Because I'm not a shinigami. I'm something more savage...

Tsukishima noticed that the being in front of him held a different body language and a sword instead of the scythe he had in their previous encounter.

Tsukishima: You're not (Y/N), are you?

Thanatos: I am. Me and (Y/N) are one and the same.

Thanatos then dashed in and clashed blades with Tsukishima, pushing in back.

Thanatos: Let's take this fight elsewhere.

In a blink of an eye, Thanatos swiped (Y/N)'s combat pass from Shishigawara before rushing towards Tsukishima. However, Tsukishima stabbed his sword into the ground, and immediately the surrounding buildings started to crumble.

Thanatos dashed towards (Y/N)'s body and protected it, shooting a cero to clear all the debris that was close to landing on the soulless body. As the smoke cleared. Tsukishima and Shishigawara were gone.

Thanatos: That son of a... What's the point of confronting us if he's just going to run. *sigh* No matter. He couldn't have gone far.

Thanatos dropped (Y/N)'s body in front of Orihime's apartment and knocked on her door before taking flight and searching for the Fullbringers.

Thanatos: (Y/N) should've learned Pesquisa. These Fullbringers seem to have their power formed from Hollow Reiryoku.

Thanatos then started to sense the two Humans.

Thanatos: There you are...

Thanatos took flight at blinding speeds and caught up to the two in no time. Tsukishima saw Thanatos at the very last second and dodged the Hollow, leaving Shishigawara to be caught. Thanatos grabbed Shishigawara by the face and dragged him across the floor before throwing him into a nearby building.



Thanatos: That's one down. Be glad (Y/N) doesn't deem you a threat to be killed.

Thanatos then turned around and saw Tsukishima taking advantage of Thanatos' moment of weakness...

Or so he thought.

Thanatos knocked Tsukishima back without even looking.



Thanatos: Ready to give up this game of cat and mouse?

Tsukishima: Sorry, but I must take my leave. Unfortunately my plan for today has failed.

Thanatos: "Plan for today"? You talk as if you'll live to see another day. A dead man doesn't need to think about a future he'll never see.

Tsukishima: Is that a threat?

Just then a beam of energy flew towards Tsukishima. Tsukishima narrowly dodged it. Tsukishima looked towards the direction of the beam, knowing who shot it.

(F/N): No, That was a promise.

Tsukishima: (F/N). Just the person I wanted to see.

(F/N): For what reason?

Tsukishima: I just wanted to talk. I just needed a way to get your attention.

Tsukishima said while looking at Thanatos.

(F/N): You want me to believe that load of shit after you refused to talk during our last encounter?

Tsukishima: I just wanted to know if you thought about what I told you earlier.

(F/N): I don't have an answer to your question. Sorry to disappoint you.

Tsukishima: A shame, really...

(F/N) turned towards Thanatos.

(F/N): Get back to (Y/N)'s body. I can handle him by myself.

Thanatos: I'm surprised you can tell I'm not the human side of (Y/N)'s soul.

(F/N): You don't talk nor have the mannerisms that (Y/N) does. And (Y/N) told me how aggressive you are.

Thanatos: Great deduction, however I'm staying here old man. I could've killed him by myself but having you here just makes it easier.

(F/N): Who are you calling old?! I'm only in my 40s!

Thanatos: Yeah, you're heading for half a century old.

Tsukishima interrupted the conversation as he dashed towards (F/N) and swung his sword. (F/N) reacted by blocking the attack with his pistol.



(F/N) tried to sneak attack Tsukishima by drawing his second pistol while he blocked Tsukishima's attack. Tsukishima noticed just in time to dodge the incoming shot from (F/N)'s second pistol.

Thanatos then jumped in clashing blades with Tsukishima.



While Thanatos was keeping Tsukishima busy, (F/N) thought to himself.

(F/N): *thinking* He fast, I'll give him that. I'll just have to give up trying to nullify his fullbring and simply focus on dealing damage. I'll focus on sapping away his strength before I completely nullify it.

(F/N)'s spiritual pressure intensified as he disappeared from sight. Thanatos backed away as (F/N) reappeared in front of Tsukishima, firing a multitude of shots. (F/N) was so fast that Tsukishima couldn't keep up.



Tsukishima gave a chuckle.

Tsukishima: Sacrificing the power of your shots for speed in order to catch me? A simple but effective plan.

(F/N): How about sitting still so I can end it in one shot?

Tsukishima: No thanks. I'd rather live to see another day.

Thanatos: There you go fantasizing again.

Thanatos dashed towards Tsukishima but the fullbringer dodge the attack. Thanatos then charged a cero and aimed it in the direction where he felt Tsukishima's spiritual pressure. However when he turned in the direction of Tsukishima's spiritual pressure, he realized he was behind (F/N).

Thanatos: Old man, watch out-

But it was too late as Tsukishima had already stabbed (F/N) through the chest.

Tsukishima: This may turn out to be an unfortunate turn of events for you, (Y/N).

Thanatos: What do you mean by that? The old man can walk that off.

Tsukishima removed the blade from (F/N)'s chest as he then walked towards Thanatos.

Tsukishima: (F/N), as your friend. Don't you think it's horrible how a hollow forcefully took control of your son's body?

Thanatos: Huh? What nonsense are you spouting? (F/N) wants you dead! Do you really think you can talk your way-

(F/N): Dead? What are you talking about?

Thanatos was flabbergasted at (F/N) response.

Thanatos: What the hell, old man? What's gotten into you?

Tsukishima: (Y/N) has been hostile, hasn't he?

Thanatos was about to shoot a cero at Tsukishima, but (F/N) shot a beam at the cero, erasing it completely.

(F/N): Calm down.

Thanatos: What are you doing!?

Tsukishima: You're not acting like yourself, (Y/N). What's the matter?

Thanatos was confused at what was going on.

Thanatos: *thinking* Is he mind controlling the old man right now? Is that his ability?

(F/N) chimed in.

(F/N): Let's just sit down and talk this out-

Thanatos: Like hell we're talking it out! This Tsukishima bastard has you under his control!

Tsukishima: That's preposterous.

Thanatos took a stance as he got ready to attack Tsukishima. Tsukishima did the same. (F/N) got in between the both of them, a pistol pointed at both of them.

Tsukishima: Is something the matter, (F/N)?

Thanatos: Who's side are you on right now?

(F/N): There's clearly something going on here, but I'm not sure what...

Thanatos: *thinking* It seems whatever that Tsukishima guy did to him hasn't taken full effect yet... Maybe there's still a chance.

Thanatos: What's going on here is that this bastard-

Thanatos pointed at Tsukishima.

Thanatos: -stabbed you and now you've acted like he's been your friend for years. You're clearly being manipulated!

(F/N): Because he has been my friend for years. We've known each other since childhood.

Tsukishima: It seems the one that's being manipulated is you, (Y/N). You've started acting aggressive all of a sudden.

Thanatos: Don't believe this guy! Don't forget, he's the one that's tried to attack (S/N) and fought Calavera!

Tsukishima: Nonsense. No harm came to them-

Thanatos: That's because I stopped you! Don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth! He's nothing but a corpse with a silver tongue trying to persuade death to keep him on earth!

Tsukishima: Such a violent way with words, (Y/N). (F/N) are you sure this is your son?

Thanatos: Don't talk like you know me! You talk like you've known the old man your whole life when you ran off and never came back! Old man, don't make a mistake you'll regret!

Tsukishima: (F/N), I recommend you-

(F/N): Will the both of you shut up! Damn, you two give me a headache... There's quite an easy fix to our problem here...

(F/N) then pointed one of his pistols to his head.

Thanatos: What the hell do you think you're doing?

(F/N): My memories say Shu has been there my whole life... But I'll always trust my son.

(F/N) shot a beam directly at himself. However, (F/N) was just fine, if not temporarily powerless.

(F/N): Sorry Shu, but I'm not falling for your stupid tricks.

Tsukishima: That was smart I must say... Using your powers on yourself to negate my fullbring ability. However you've nullified your own powers in the process.

(F/N): (Y/N) can take care of you himself. Ain't that right-

Thanatos immediately picked up (F/N) and flew off.

Thanatos: You're crazy, you know that?

(F/N): Why the hell are you running? We can take him out right now!

Thanatos: I'm not going to sit here and let you be a liability. You'll just get in the way! Even though I could kill him, if he gets one opening on me we're both either on his side or dead. And besides, what if Tsukishima stabs you again and messes with your memories? You won't be able to pull the same trick again! For all we know your memories might fully change next time.

(F/N): Ugh... Fine, you big baby. We'll do things your way... But now that we have an idea on what his ability is, we can find a work around for next time.

Thanatos: Do we though?

(F/N): Huh?

Thanatos: In both encounters, Tsukishima would mess with the environment around us to get the advantage. I was beginning to think his ability was something on the lines of mass manipulation or geomancy. But seeing as he was able to implant memories in you, that changes everything. I doubt he has two different fullbring abilities, but then again, we don't know much about this guy...

(F/N): This situation just got a whole lot worse.

Thanatos: Yeah...

There's a lot to unpact here. One is that we finally see what (Y/N)'s resurreccion looks like in its pure form. When he isn't using bankai alongside it.

Second is (Y/N)/Thanatos finally seeing Tsukishima use the actual ability of his fullbring. Now there has never been a set time for when Tsukishima's fullbring ability takes effect. Orihime's memories took a few days before she fully beleived Tsukishima was always in her life, while Ginjo had his memories altered the night of Uryu's attack and became fully affected the following day. You could probably make the argument Ginjo was affected quicker since Ginjo is much closer and known Tsukishima longer so the process require more alterations than they did implanting new memories. But as I said before, there's no confirmation how long it takes for Tsukishima's fullbring to take effect.

Third is (F/N)'s ability to turn off Tsukishima's fullbring on himself using his ability to nullify the false memories that was imprinted in him. I felt like this was something that should be feasibly possible and makes sense. Although it does come with the side effect that (F/N) himself becomes temporarily powerless.

Lastly, is Thanatos willing to leave the fight after (F/N) becoming temporarily powerless. After seeing (F/N) potentially become an enemy because of Tsukishima's ability, Thanatos wouldn't take the chance of getting control while (F/N) couldn't fight back. After Tsukishima attempted to manipulate (F/N) to join his side, Thanatos wouldn't dear allow himself to potentially become a victim and possibly kill (F/N). Thanatos wouldn't believe Tsukishima wouldn't harm (F/N) since he's such an enigma, so Thanatos begrudgingly bit the bullet and left the fight.
