(Y/N): So I was giving it a bit more thought.

(F/N): Hm?

(Y/N): Tsukishima's ability.

Currently, the gang was once again on the flying blanket.

(Y/N): I don't think it's as simple as memory manipulation.

(F/N): Why's that?

(Y/N): Remember how I told you that I originally thought that his ability was mass manipulation or geomancy? Well that was because he was actively changing the environment around him. He always used it to escape or buy himself time. It was his primary way of throwing us off guard. But then he changed your memories. It didn't make sense at the time because we already had a preconceived notion that he changed the environment around him. And although I was doubtful at first, I almost began to believe he had two fullbring abilities.

Rukia: So what changed your opinion?

(Y/N): The way fullbring has been shown to work. Dad said you can change the form of an object if you have a strong bond with it. Chad has always been proud of his skin because of his Grandfather's words of encouragement so his body changes when uses his fullbring. Orihime holds her hairpin as something important to her because it was a gift from her late brother, That hairpin later became her fullbring. What about you dad? Why do you find your guns so important?

(F/N) looked at his two pistols.

(F/N): My two pistols Null and Void. Null was the pistol I used to help your (M/N), Isshin and Masaki fight a hollow that was killing people in town. It holds importance to me because it is what bridges the gap between me and the supernatural. It was how I was able to help (M/N). Void on the other was a gift from (M/N). She wasn't that great at giving gifts but I accepted it nonetheless. It's one of the last things she gave me.To make a long story short, These two guns are pretty much linked to (M/N). I'm in no way a gun fanatic, but these two are an exception.

(Y/N): I thought so. So that leads into what I was thinking. Tsukishima always carries a book with him, but his fullbring is the bookmark that's in the book. And what exactly is a bookmark used for?

Rukia: They're typically used to track your progress in a book you're reading. And so that you can remember where you last left off.

(Y/N): Exactly. And the keyword here is "remember". Dad knew Tsukishima from his past. Something he "remembers". And dad had a huge impact on his life, though it's unknown if Tsukishima himself thinks of that as a positive or negative impact. Either way, the past is important to him. And it's highly likely because of Dad.

(F/N): And how does this change your initial theory?

(Y/N): If the past is so important to him, I think it might have to be something close to changing the past.

Everyone was surprised at the theory.

Rukia: Are you saying he's affecting time in some way?

(Y/N): I can't say for sure. Dad nullified Tsukishima's ability when he got affected. If Tsukishima could change time then I don't think Dad would be able to negate that ability without going back in time himself. After all, you can't change something that already happened. But I'm the last person to make any assumptions about how time works, so don't take my word for it.

(F/N): So he can change the past but it doesn't count as time travel?

Urahara then spoke up.

Urahara: That's quite an interesting theory indeed. In fact I think you're pretty spot on, (Y/N).

(Y/N): R-really?

Urahara: Mhm. If I may contribute. I think this Tsukishima fellow's ability may be to insert his presence in another person's past.

Rukia: What do you mean?

Urahara: If (Y/N)'s hypothesis is correct then I believe that the ability to insert his presence into another's past will allow him to directly affect someone's past while keeping the actual past intact. That would also explain how he's able to change the environment around him. If inanimate objects also have souls then inserting his presence into an object's past would allow him to modify the history of that object.

(Y/N): So by cutting an inanimate object, it would act as if he was there at the scene of that object's creation or that he was the one that the scene before. That's how he was able to set up so many traps ahead of time. He wouldn't have enough time to create such a mess normally.

Urahara: Yes, exactly.

Rukia: I'm still a bit confused.

(F/N): Same.

(Y/N): In simpler terms, if he wants to, he could use his ability on a pile of dirt and say "I've moved this pile of dirt elsewhere in the past." and that pile of dirt will be moved somewhere else.

(F/N): Oh...

(Y/N): Yeah, the ability is insane when we give it more thought. But with you there, you can stop Tsukishima from using it and you can save everyone from Tsukishima's control.

(F/N): Right.

Urahara: Were almost at our location, so be ready for battle.

(Meanwhile)

Things weren't looking good for Ichigo and Ginjo. Ginjo was surrounded by the entire Xcution crew with the help of Shishigawara. Meanwhile Ichigo took on Tsukishima, Chad and Orihime.

Chad and Orihime protected Tsukishima, forcing Ichigo to hold back.

Ichigo: Why are you protecting him? Please stop it, Chad! Orihime!

Chad: You took the words right out of my mouth. Don't do this, Ichigo!

Ichigo: Don't you get it? I have no desire to fight you!

Ichigo then yelled at Tsukishima.

Ichigo: Tsukishima! Stop hiding behind my friends! Come on out and fight!

Tsukishima, complying with Ichigo's request, vanished from sight.

Ichigo: Where'd he go?

Tsukishima then reappeared behind Ichigo, ready to strike him with his sword.

Ginjo took the hit for Ichigo.

Ichigo: Ginjo!

Ichigo watched as Ginjo's body fell to the rooftop of the mansion and flew after him.

Ichigo: Are you all right, Ginjo?!

Ginjo: Shut up. Stop paying so much attention to me, Kurosaki. I thought I told you, don't let Tsukishima get you from behind, or it's all over!

As Ginjo said that, Tsukishima tried to sneak attack Ichigo, but Ichigo parried it, forcing Tsukishima to create space between the two of them.

Ichigo: Are you all right?!

Ginjo: I don't know. But right now, I still consider that guy to be my enemy and I still think of you as my friend.

Ichigo: I see... Good.

Ginjo: I don't know why Tsukishima's power didn't take effect. Maybe there are individual differences in how long it takes for his power to take effect. Or maybe he deliberately didn't let them take effect for a reason. Either way we have to defeat Tsukishima now, while we can. once his powers take effect, there'll be nothing we can do!

Ichigo: Yeah.

As Ginjo and Ichigo spoke, another person landed behind them.



Uryu showed up and when he saw Ginjo standing behind him. Everything that happened on the day of his attack came flooding back.

His appearance.

The difference in his wounds and Orihime's nonexistent wounds.

He was starting to put the pieces together.

Uryu: Kurosaki.

Ichigo: Ishida!

Ichigo: *thinking* Which side is he on?! Ishida was also cut down by Tsukishima. So who healed his wounds?! Was it Orihime? Orihime was cut down by Tsukishima. Did she heal Ishida before she considered Tsukishima as her friend? If it was after she considered Tsukishima as a friend, it would mean she healed Ishida to make him part of Tsukishima's army. Which is it?!

Uryu then summoned his bow and aimed it at Ichigo.



Ichigo: So you're one of them, too? Ishida!

Uryu: Kurosaki, come here. I saw what's going on downstairs. Relax. I'm on your side.

Ichigo: You're not...

Uryu: What's wrong? Hurry, Kurosaki.

Ichigo: Ishida!

Uryu: Kurosaki! Don't you get it?! The guy who cut me is the guy standing behind you!



Ichigo finally understood what was going on, but it was too late.



Uryu tried to shoot an arrow in Ginjo's direction but he deflected it effortlessly. Ichigo turned around but immediately got stabbed by Ginjo.

Uryu: Kurosaki!

Uryu allowed his guard to drop, allowing Tsukishima to cut him in the shoulder.

Ginjo then let out a hysterical laugh.



Ichigo: Ginjo... Why? Is it because of Tsukishima's power?

Ginjo: Yeah. Definitely because of Tsukishima's power, but make no mistake. I didn't become your enemy because Tsukishima cut me. I let Tsukishima cut me twice so I could return to my original self. Your Fullbring is mine.

Ginjo thrusted his sword into Ichigo's chest.

Tsukishima: If I cut someone with my Book of the End, I can slip my existence into that person's past. If I cut that person again, they return to normal.

Ginjo: I would be working closest to you. So to keep you from suspecting anything, I had Tsukishima slip his existence into my past as an enemy. It was the first thing we did before doing it to the others.

Tsukishima: That's not the reason why. We didn't cut you because you'd be the closest to him. It was because you have the worst acting ability.

Ginjo: Don't be stupid. My acting was pretty good back there.

Tsukishima: But you referred to Ichigo as "Kurosaki" right after I cut you.

Ginjo: Tch.

Ichigo's fullbring armor started to dissipate as Ginjo started to absorb his fullbring.



Ichigo was back to being powerless.

Ichigo broke down in tears.



Tsukishima: Is he crying? Poor thing.

Ginjo: Just let him cry. We have no use for him anymore. And we'll probably never see him again.

Ichigo: Give it back! My power... Give it back to me, Ginjo

Ginjo: What are you babbling about? You got back your power because of me. What's wrong with me taking it from you? Even though I'm done with you, I'm not going to kill you. You should be thanking me.

Ichigo: I said, give it back.

Ginjo: What more can you do?

Ichigo: I don't know...

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? BEGGING ISN'T GOING TO GET YOU YOUR POWERS BACK!"

Ichigo heard a voice scream from across the field. He looked over and saw (Y/N), standing on the flying blanket. Behind him was Ururu, Jinta and Calavera.

(Y/N): THE ICHIGO I KNOW WOULDN'T SIT THERE AND CRY WITHOUT FIGHTING BACK!"

Ichigo: (Y/N)...

(Y/N): IF YOU'RE REALLY ICHIGO KUROSAKI, THEN SHOW ME THE DETERMINATION AND STRENGTH THAT YOU'RE KNOWN FOR!

Ichigo: But what can I do... It's just like you said... I'm powerless...

(Y/N): I WOULDN'T BE STANDING HERE TELLING YOU GET UP AND FIGHT IF YOU WERE REALLY POWERLESS!

Ichigo: What are you...

(Y/N): THE ICHIGO I KNOW NEVER GIVES UP! SO WHY ARE DOING SO NOW? YOU THINK THIS FRAUD IS BETTER THAN YOU? I DON'T! THE ICHIGO I KNOW WOULD KICK HIS ASS!

Ichigo: (Y/N)...

Ichigo got off his knees and stood up.

Ginjo: So that's him?

Tsukishima: (Y/N) (L/N). Fellow Substitute Shinigami to Ichigo Kurosaki.

Ginjo smirked.

Ginjo: Two birds with one stone, I'll say.

Ginjo then looked towards (Y/N).

Ginjo: What are you doing all of a sudden? Giving Ichigo false hope? Ichigo's lucky enough that we're keeping him alive right now! What can you possibly do?

(Y/N): You're Ginjo Kugo?

Ginjo: So you've heard of me? Did Tsukishima let it slip?

(Y/N): No, I heard from the Soul Society. Looking at you now, I'm not impressed.

Ginjo's smirk vanished as he gave (Y/N) a glare.

Ginjo: You'll regret underestimating me.

(Y/N): No, you've got it wrong. You're the one underestimating me. Are you guys ready?

Just then, Ichigo got stabbed through the chest with a sword.



The spirit sword.

Ichigo turned around. Standing behind him was Isshin and Urahara.

Ichigo: Dad? Urahara? What are you-

Isshin: You idiot, look closer at who's holding that sword.

Ichigo started to see a faint visual. It took a while but before Ichigo knew it, he saw-



Ichigo: Rukia...

The sword then started to glow as a bright light engulfed Ichigo. The amount of energy produced caused a massive force of wind to pick up.

As the wind cleared, Ichigo was standing there, in a new Shinigami Shihakusho.



Ginjo was in shock.

Ginjo: No! That's impossible!

Ichigo: Rukia

Rukia: It's been a while, Ichigo. You've become so strong and mature since the last time I saw you...

NOT!



Rukia kicked Ichigo in the face.

Ichigo: Ouch!

Rukia: Crying like a pathetic fool! You turned into a wimp the moment I stopped keeping my eyes on you! Pitiful!

Rukia calmed down.

Rukia: (Y/N) and Urahara told me about the power of this Tsukishima guy. He can write over the past. It is indeed a terrifying power. But so what?! No matter how much he changes your past, he cannot change your future! Lost bonds can be forged once again! Am I wrong, Ichigo?!

Ichigo paused for a moment befor he spoke.

Ichigo: Rukia, can I say one thing? He didn't change my past, you know.

Rukia swung the spirit sword at Ichigo.

Rukia: Don't make fun of me with that serious look!

Ichigo: That's dangerous! You idiot! Even if it's been a while, that's a pretty harsh reaction!

Rukia: You fool! This sword has no blade!

Ichigo: Come to think of it, what is that sword?

Rukia: This is a sword that (Y/N) and Urahara have been preparing for you since you lost your powers. Thanks to this, we can give you Shinigami powers again!

(Y/N): Surprised?

(Y/N) floated down on the flying blanket, still in his human body.

(Y/N): You had no idea how stressful trying to get that thing prepared was.

Ginjo interrupted the conversation.

Ginjo: Don't be ridiculous. Just because he looks like a Shinigami doesn't mean his powers have returned. The reason why Kurosaki was able to become a Shinigami the first time around was because he already had Shinigami powers to begin with. But he no longer has any Soul Reaper powers! That's because I've taken them from him! He has absolutely nothing. There's no way your Spiritual Pressure alone could bring back his powers!

You idiot! It's not just those two.

A new voice entered the conversation. Ginjo's eyes widened as he saw the sky split open as a Senkaimon had now shown up in the sky.



Coming out of the Senkaimon were Renji, Byakuya, Toshiro, Kenpachi and Soi-Fon.

Ichigo: You all came?

(Y/N) decided to finally transform into his Shinigami form as he hopped off of the flying blanket.

(Y/N): Let's go Jinta. Calavera.

(Y/N) then turned towards Ururu.

Ururu: Can you sit this one out Ururu? I need someone to protect my body while I fight.

Ururu: Sure thing.

Ururu flew off with (Y/N)'s body still on the flying blanket.

Rukia: You said your name was Ginjo, right? You only stole the top layer of Ichigo's power, which was fused with his Fullbring. The power that comes from within Ichigo is not something that you could ever steal!

(Y/N): She's right. That's like saying you stole a piece of his soul, which I hardly think you're capable of doing.

Rukia: Ichigo! They don't know that this isn't enough to make you give up hope! They don't know what kinds of hopeless situations you've overcome! Show them, Ichigo! Show them that despair isn't enough to stop you!

Ichigo: Right.

Ichigo swung his sword at Ginjo, releasing a wave of energy. The energy pushed Ginjo back, forcing him off of the rooftop of the mansion.

Ginjo: It seems that your strength has increased. But it's nothing to be surprised about. Your Getsuga Tensho has gotten more powerful, but is that all you've got?! Guess again! This isn't enough to kill me, Kurosaki!

Ichigo landed on the ground in front of Ginjo.

Ichigo: You idiot. That wasn't a Getsugatensho. That was the force created from swinging my sword.

Ichigo charged his spiritual pressure as he prepared a real Getsuga Tensho.

Ginjo:What the hell? What the hell is this Spiritual Pressure?!

Ichigo: Getsuga-

-Tenshou...

Ichigo swung his sword, cutting the mansion behind Ginjo in half.



Ichigo: Sorry... I missed... Next time, I won't.
