The battle unfolded between Ginjo, Ichigo, Uryu and (Y/N).

Uryu: We should feel him out first. We need a good grasp on his abilities, before we do anything.

(Y/N): Yeah. Hey Ichigo, what were his fullbring abilities like? I'm sure he'd be able to use them while in his shinigami form as well.

Ichigo: Hm? They were a bit similar to mine now that you think about it...

(Y/N): That so? So all we have to do is figure out what his Shinigami abilities are...

Merlin. Panzer. Arise.

(Y/N) summoned Merlin and Panzer to his side.

(Y/N): Merlin, don't let up on offense. Panzer, protect Merlin at all costs. If Ginjo closes the distance, push him out of it.

Merlin and Panzer immediately put the plan in motion while (Y/N) sat back and started to absorb the spiritual energy in the area.

Uryu: What are you doing?

(Y/N): Absorbing the surrounding spiritual energy. This environment was created by that fullbringer with the video game console. I assume that if I absorb enough spiritual energy, the place will collapse and we'll return to the real world.

Uryu: Are you sure that's wise?

(Y/N): I know what you're thinking. If we break this place down, we risk the chance of the fight spreading to our friends who aren't able to protect themselves. Don't worry, I'm only weakening it for now. However if we need to make an escape for any reason, we can break out.

Uryu: I see.

(Y/N) and Uryu watched as Ginjo launched a wave of energy at Merlin. Panzer took the brunt of the attack while (Y/N)and Uryu hid in one of the alleyways of the digital karakura Town.

Ginjo: What's the matter?! Taking your sweet time to analyze the situation?! You want to get this over with, right? Same here!

Uryu then noticed something.

Uryu: Just as I suspected... He didn't simply make Kurosaki's Fullbring his own... His attacks are combined with the power of Kurosaki's Spiritual Pressure. This is going to be a problem...

(Y/N): So it seems like this is just going to be a simple battle of "who's stronger".

Uryu: It's not that simple. He can possibly use Ichigo's abilities as well.

(Y/N): Yeah but he's not going to be as proficient as Ichigo at using his own technique.

Ichigo then reappeared in the same alleyway as (Y/N) and Uryu.

Ichigo: So, did you come up with any great ideas?

Uryu: What's that supposed to mean?

Ichigo: You two are some of the smartest people I know. I thought you two were trying to come with an idea to quickly take him down?

(Y/N): Well Ginjo hasn't shown any new abilities. Although, according to Uryu, Ginjo stealing your powers means he'll be able to use your abilities as well. Considering he's up against us and 2 arrancars, I don't think he'd want to risk dying by holding back. Safe to say this is a simple battle from here on out. We just jump him and be done with it.

Ichigo: Really? Well, I'll be going, then.

Uryu: Wait, Kurosaki!

Ichigo then flash stepped into the open to confront Ginjo.

(Y/N): If you want, you can keep watch if you do believe there's more to Ginjo than we think. But for now I'll back up Ichigo.

Uryu: No, I'll come with you.

(Y/N): Alright then.

Ichigo left the alleyway and met face to face with Ginjo.

Ginjo: Ah, you finally decided to come out... So? Did you come with a plan while you were hiding?

Ichigo: I just checked. They didn't have any, so I came on out.

Ichigo then started to charge a Getsuga Tensho.

Ginjo: A Getsuga Tensho, huh? Bring it on. I almost died because of that the last time. If you're going to beat me, I suppose that's the only way.

Uryu then jumped into the conversation.

Uryu: Don't do it, Kurosaki! He's egging you on!

(Y/N): Uryu. Let him do it.

Uryu: What? You can be serious? You know he'll-

(Y/N) That's exactly why I say we let Ichigo use it.

Uryu was confused.

Uryu: What are you planning?

Ichigo then released his Getsuga Tensho at Ginjo, who simply cut it in half. Ginjo then started to charge up energy in his sword as well.

Ginjo: Getsuga...

Ichigo: *thinking* They weren't kidding about Ginjo having my techniques.

Ginjo then swung his blade.

Ginjo: TENSHO!



Ginjo launched a Getsuga Tensho directly at Ichigo but (Y/N) jumped in front of Ichigo sticking his hand out. As the Getsuga Tensho made contact with (Y/N), he absorbed the attack.

Ginjo: Interesting abilities you've been showcasing, (L/N).

(Y/N): Don't think for a minute you'll get a hold of them.

Just then, A multitude of arrows came flying in Ginjo's direction. Ginjo with his speed and quick reactions dodged many of the arrows.



All of Ginjo's attention was on Uryu's arrows. This gave Merlin the chance to land a devastating attack of his own. A cero in the shape of an arrow made direct contact with Ginjo, causing an explosion.

Ginjo shook it off, mildly annoyed. Uryu then spoke up.

Uryu: Seriously, take the time to consider you're on a team, Kurosaki. We can't keep saving you after a mistake you made.

Ichigo: Relax, will you? (Y/N) has more energy to use and now we got a good hit on Ginjo. I'd say things are working out in our favor.

Uryu: That's because (Y/N) is used to you ignoring advice.

(Y/N): Alright, that's enough bickering. We still have an enemy to fight.

Ginjo then spoke up.

Ginjo: I finally found out your strategy.

Ichigo: Say what now?

Ginjo: Both (L/N) and that Ishida kid are acting as support. They're smart enough to read each other's minds and play off of each other. They used that to distract me from you, Ichigo. You're the strongest physically so they're trying to make an opening for you to land a hit to take me out.

...

Ichigo: Was that the plan this whole time?

Ginjo: Huh?

(Y/N): Sorry to say this Ginjo, but when the three of us are working together, we're pretty much the three stooges. None of this was planned. Just one big coincidence.

Ginjo couldn't believe what he was hearing.

Ginjo: What was I expecting from three teenagers...

Ginjo then released a Getsuga Tensho and Ichigo, which Ichigo returned in kind. The two crescent moons made contact and exploded on impact.

Ichigo then flew towards Ginjo. Ginjo swung his sword at Ichigo but Ichigo evaded with ease. Ichigo counterattacked by cutting Ginjo vertically across his shoulder.

Ginjo and Ichigo immediately clashed blades with each other.

Ginjo: That's pretty good. You put yourself at quite a risk, though.

Ichigo: I had no such intention.

Ginjo: I suppose not. You're just fighting with everything you've got, right? So, what are you fighting for right now?

Ichigo: What do you mean?

Ginjo: Tsukishima's dead.

Ichigo and Ginjo broke their stalemate. (Y/N) and Uryu heard what Ginjo said and was surprised.

Ginjo: Actually, he's not dead yet, but his Spiritual Pressure is nearly gone. I'd say he only has about ten minutes to live and when a Fullbringer dies, all traces of his abilities disappear.



Ginjo: Understand what that means? If Tsukishima dies, all of the memories of the past that he inserted will return to what they used to be. Your family and friends will all be just the way they were before. So I'll ask you once more: Right now, what are you fighting for? And that goes for you too (L/N).

Ichigo and (Y/N) didn't answer.

Ginjo: No answer? Then let me tell you one more thing. It's about the enemy you should really be fighting.



(Y/N) already knew where Ginjo was taking this conversation. He didn't blame him for trying it though.

Ichigo: The enemy I should really be fighting?!

Ginjo: Yeah.

Ichigo: Don't mess with me! I've had enough of your mind games!

Uryu: That's right. You see yourself at a disadvantage, so you present a shocking "fact" to lay on the psychological pressure in order to make your point that "You'd be better off joining with me." Isn't that right?

Ginjo: At a disadvantage, you say? Whatever makes you say that? Sorry, but I can fully defeat the three of you right now. Why don't you try shooting at me from the back? I'll parry your shots while keeping our conversation.

(Y/N): You forgot there's an extra two bodies on the field. And even without them, the three of us are more than enough to take you out. You either overestimate yourself or trying to bluff yourself out of a 1v5.

Ginjo: Hmph. You think you're that strong? I've been a Shinigami far longer than any of you have been born. That along with the fact that I have fullbringer abilities and stole Ichigo's as well puts me in a class of my own.

(Y/N): Well we have some tricks up our sleeves as well.

Ginjo: Nothing you have up your sleeves is going to give you the edge in this fight. You're just a teenager. You really think you have all the strength and knowledge at the palm of your hands? Before you answer, let me tell you something you probably should know about that substitute shinigami combat pass. Do you know why you two were entrusted with a Combat Pass?

(Y/N): I do, but for the sake of Ichigo, keep talking.

Ichigo: What do you mean?

Ginjo: When you were handed the Combat Pass, you must've been told something like this: "If the Shinigami is deemed beneficial to the Soul Society, it is customary to give them the Combat Pass." Listen closely, Kurosaki. (L/N). That's a lie.

More correctly. Whether someone is of benefit or detriment to the Soul Society has nothing to do with it. Combat Passes are handed out equally regardless. The official name for Combat Pass is Substitute Shinigami Combat Pass. It certifies that one has permission to conduct Substitute Soul Reaper duties in the World of the Living.

Ichigo: I know that.

Ginjo: But have you ever, to this moment, truly felt its authority?

Ichigo thought back to the time he showed his Combat Pass to Kuramadani, who had no idea what the Combat pass was.

Ichigo then turned to (Y/N).

Ichigo: Hey (Y/N)... Have you ever shown your Combat pass to anyone?

(Y/N): No... never needed too. When I first became a Shinigami, Mr. Urahara or Yoruichi would accompany me on patrol to help me get the hang of things. Back then they were exiled from Soul Society so they made sure to avoid Kuramadani or any other Shinigami that might've visited the Soul Society. Once we invaded Soul Society, they both decided I was capable enough to patrol on my own. I haven't run into any patrolling Shinigami since then.

Ginjo: See? Even (L/N) doesn't know what the pass really does.The function of the Combat Pass is-

(Y/N): To monitor and control us.

Ginjo was shocked to hear (Y/N) finished his sentence.

(Y/N): When I told you I knew what the pass did, I meant it.

Ginjo: You knew and still assist the Soul Society voluntarily? You allowed the Soul Society to have constant tabs on your whereabouts and allowed them to control your Spiritual Pressure? And you don't feel upset about that?

(Y/N): I definitely felt uncomfortable that they did so but at the same time, can you blame them? You truly believe that the Soul Society would be irresponsible enough to let people from the world of the living roam free with supernatural abilities with the possibility of having them use it recklessly?

Ginjo: They seemed to have already got to (L/N). Kurosaki, you don't truly believe that their just in this decision do you? The existence of the Combat Pass means that they'll never truly trust us with the power we were born with! Nobody in the Soul Society can be trusted! Not even the made who created it! Jushiro Ukitake!

Ichigo: Ukitake did?

Ginjo: We were tricked by the most peace-loving man among the Court Guard Squads! Ichigo! The man's aim is to watch and control us in order to use us as pawns of the Soul Society, and to eliminate us if we resist!

Uryu: *thinking* This is bad! There's no way Kurosaki can cope with these truths in his present state!

Uryu looked towards (Y/N), but realized he was surprisingly calm during Ginjo's speech.

Uryu: *thinking* What is (Y/N) thinking? If he knows, he should convince Ichigo that Ginjo is just trying to persuade him to switch sides.

Ginjo: They all know! Everyone in the Soul Society besides you knows this! They abandoned you and left you to die, Ichigo!

Uryu: Don't listen to him, Kurosaki!

Ichigo: Shut the hell up!

Ichigo raised his sword.

Ichigo: Bankai!
