The Bambies watched as (Y/N)'s personality took a sudden turn.
Candice: What's the deal with him?
Meninas: Split Personality disorder, perhaps?
Liltotto: It seems he got some information that didn't sit well with him. Regardless if we aren't careful we could all die. Gigi...
Giselle: I know. One drop of blood is all I need.
Candice: That's if I don't fry him first!
Candice began to charge a lightning bolt but in an instant, the arm she was holding lightning was severed. The Bambies didn't have time to react as they only now realized (Y/N) had already moved from his initial spot.
The other Bambies scramble to land an attack of their own after being caught off guard by (Y/N)'s speed.
Another swing from (Y/N)'s scythe forced Liltotto to use Blut Vene to prevent herself from being cut in half. The impact of the attack sent the blonde quincy flying into a building.
Meninas attempted to sneak attack (Y/N) but (Y/N) evaded her attack and casted Hadō #63. Raikōhō, resulting in Meninas taking the full brunt of the attack. While (Y/N)'s back was turned, an arrow came flying in his direction. However, at the last moment, (Y/N) felt its presence and caught the arrow with his bare hands before crushing it.
(Y/N) turned around and saw that Giselle was the one who fired the arrow at him.
Giselle: The reports on you were right! You really are strong!
(Y/N) turned in response to Giselle's voice. (Y/N)'s lifeless eyes glared in Giselle's direction as she continued to speak.
Giselle: I'm Giselle Gewelle, but my friends call me Gigi. I'm a huge fan of yours. So if you don't mind, may I see your army of zombies before I turn you into one myself~?
(Y/N)'s eyes narrowed before he finally spoke.
(Y/N): A fan? Is this a game to you? Fine... I'll indulge your stupidity. Don't beg for your life if you start to feel regret.
(Y/N) was about to summon someone before he got interrupted by a thunderbolt nearly hitting his head, however, (Y/N) simply tilted his head to the side, dodging the bolt of lightning.
Candice was clutching on the remains of her missing arm.
Candice: I was going to leave you alive because you had a pretty face but now I'm pissed!
(Y/N): You think you're the only one who's pissed? You know what... Fine, how about this. I'll give you all an autograph...
(Y/N) pulled down the collar of his Royal cloak and Shihakusho to show the scar around his neck that he got from Yhwach.
(Y/N): ...A matching scar. One for each of you. Though I doubt any of you will survive to see the injury heal.
Brutalize them, C-
(Y/N) stopped as he felt a familiar spiritual pressure. (Y/N) looked up to see a familiar orange-hair shinigami falling through the sky.
Making his appearance, Ichigo finally arrived on the battlefield.
Ichigo: Yo, (Y/N). Need some help.
(Y/N): Ichigo... You'll make things easier...
Ichigo: (Y/N)?
Ichigo picked up on (Y/N)'s uncharacteristic demeanor instantly.
Ichigo: What's up with you, (Y/N).
(Y/N): Talk later. You can handle the others. I'll take on the troublemaker.
(Y/N) said, referring to Giselle who had taken control of multiple Squad 11 members. Candice, in the meantime, looked over to Giselle.
Candice: Gigi, heal me!
Giselle: Really?!
Candice: Without your blood, idiot!
Giselle then took flesh and blood from a nearby dead Squad 11th member and attached it to Candice's missing arm, giving her a new arm. Liltotto and Meninas regrouped with Candice and Giselle.
Liltotto: We're in over our heads. Special Threat Ichigo Kurosaki has come to assist (Y/N) (L/N).
Meninas: Then we have no choice but to leave (Y/N) to Gigi. Perhaps she spent all her time coming up with a plan to zombify him.
Meanwhile Ichigo was still trying to find out what caused (Y/N)'s sudden personality switch.
Ichigo: Hey, speak up. You're acting weird.
(Y/N): Am I? I'm simply taking them seriously. Now stay focused. I'll take care of the rest once I kill the one controlling everyone.
The word "Kill" definitely caught Ichigo off guard. This was confirmation that something was not right with (Y/N).
(Y/N) then began casting a Kido spell.
(Y/N): "Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens."
Hadō #73. Sōren Sōka-
(Y/N) was cut off when Ichigo suddenly punched him.
Ichigo: What the hell is wrong with you?! Kill?! Which one these guys took control of you? Because the (Y/N) I know wouldn't say something like that!
(Y/N): Took control? Far from it... I've just come to the realization that I can't allow myself to be held back by morals in war.
Ichigo: Maybe I need to knock some sense into you before I start fighting our enemies.
(Y/N): We don't have time for this, Ichigo. Every single second we waste here, someone is at risk of dying.
Ichigo: I'll make the time if it means snapping you out of this weird mindset you're in! Even if it means beating some sense into you!
Ichigo and (Y/N) stared each other down, almost as if they were ready to fight amongst each other. Just then multiple pillars of light erupted, surrounding the two Substitute Shinigamis. (Y/N) immediately understood the situation.
(Y/N): Vollstandig... Doesn't matter, I'll still cut them down. Cien. Siegfried. Panzer. Split up.
Ichigo: (Y/N), wait-
It was too late as (Y/N) and his minions disappeared, taking on each of the Bambies. Before Ichigo could take off, Isane called out to Ichigo.
Isane: Ichigo! (Y/N)'s change in attitude is because he found out Captain Unohana died! Please, you have to convince him to calm down!
Ichigo: I see... Leave it to me. I'll make sure to knock some sense into him.
Isane was about to question what Ichigo meant by "knock some sense into him" but Ichigo had already left.
(Meanwhile) In (Y/N)'s inner world.
Luppi sat in one of the chairs at the table in the throne rooms in annoyance as he had to hear Ankou and Thanatos bicker.
Ankou: This is why I proposed we should've told (Y/N) about Unohana's fate the moment her soul arrived here!
Thanatos: And get in the way of his training?! We both know (Y/N) wouldn't be as ready as he is now if we did! He would be far too distracted to get any real training done!
Ankou: And look at where that got him!
Thanatos: What? Acting like himself? Sorry to say this Ankou, but this is just what (Y/N)'s like when he's overcome by grief! This is what he trains so hard to prevent! You should know that the gut wrenching feeling he's feeling right now is what he felt when his mother died. The only difference is now he has something to take his anger out on.
Ankou: And you should know that becoming overcome by emotions on the battlefield is more of a hindrance than a benefit!
Thanatos: (Y/N) isn't a little boy anymore. He's a fighter, whether he likes it or not. The only way to learn how to deal with grief is the hard way.
Ankou: (Y/N) fights to protect!
Thanatos: Same difference! He's in this war to protect people that he believes are worth the pain and grief! So he has to suck it up and fight!
Luppi: Can you two shut up already?
Luppi intervened the two souls that were at each other's throats.
Luppi: Thanatos is right. (Y/N) had to learn sooner or later what it means to deal with grief in this way. Although, the skeleton is right about one thing though. If we leave (Y/N) as he is now, he'll get himself in problems. Now, if you two are done acting like children, I have a suggestion.
Ankou and Thanatos looked at each other before silently calling off the argument.
Ankou: Alright, what do you have in mind Mr. Antenor?
Luppi: What's with the formal speech? Whatever... Just send Ms. Captain over to the real world and have her deal with (Y/N) herself.
Luppi pointed at the doppelganger of Unohana that sat at the table.
Thanatos: Yeah, slight problem with that plan of yours. She can't talk like you can.
Ankou: No, he's onto something. (Y/N) has Unohana's zanpakuto in his possession. Unohana was a captain so she has long since imprinted her soul onto her zanpakuto. If the Unohana here grabs a hold of that Zanpakuto, there's a chance she could gain the same sentience that Luppi here does. After all, that zanpakuto does belong to her.
Thanatos: Hold on... that's actually pretty smart. For both Luppi and that woman. She probably sent that Zanpakuto to (Y/N), intending to give him the next best possible thing to a real soul as she could get.
Luppi: Good, we're on the same page. Now while we have Ms. Captain persuades (Y/N) to calm down, we need to bring that idiot Cien back in here before he blows the Seireitei into ash. (Y/N)'s not in his right mind so he could accidentally do something that would be detrimental to the Soul Society.
Ankou and Thanatos were actually surprised at Luppi's willingness to find a solution to their conundrum.
Thanatos: What do you get out of this?
Luppi: What?
Ankou: You're surprisingly helpful right now. I don't mean to be sceptical but you've always been one to ignore us as much as you can. Why help now all of a sudden?
Luppi: So that (Y/N) will be indebted to me. Simple.
Ankou: Huh?
Luppi: Once (Y/N) realizes I was the one to come up with this plan, he'll feel the need to make it up to me. I just want more freedom.
Thanatos, You're a needy little bastard, aren't you?
Ankou: I'm sure (Y/N) would've just done so if you asked...
With that said, the three souls decided to put their plan into motion.
To Be Continued.
