(F/N): Alright Asuka, I'll be back by the end of the day. I just need you to look after (S/N) while I'm gone.

Asuka: So you're going to solve the "earthquake" problem?

Ever since Yhwach absorbed the Soul King, not only the Soul Society, but all three realms had felt the tremors.

(F/N): I am. I can't stay here and talk. The boys are waiting for me so we can make our way to the Soul Society.

(F/N) turned to (S/N) who didn't look quite happy. It didn't take a genius to figure out why she was upset.

(F/N): Hey, cheer up princess. I promise I'll be back with (Y/N) and Calavera with me. I guarantee you by tomorrow we'll all be at home like nothing happened.

(S/N): But they've been gone for three days... How are you so sure they're still alive...

(F/N): (Y/N)'s stronger than I am now. Probably stronger than most people who've been alive for centuries now. And he's being backed up by Calavera and the rest of his friends. They've never once let him down. And now, I'll be there to back him up. So don't fret. Me, Isshin, and Ryuken have something that'll defeat the guy that's been causing problems for all of us, alright?

(S/N): Fine. I'll never forgive you if you came back without them.

(F/N): That's fair.

Asuka: You never run out of confidence, do you?

(F/N): When you're the strongest human on earth, you tend to have an ego. Though consistently fighting beings not of this realm is a consistent reminder not to let it get to my head. Well, I'm off.

As (F/N) left, Asuka thought to herself.

Asuka: *thinking* The Soul Society. From what (F/N) told me, that's the place where the souls of the dead go... Does that mean (F/N) will potentially run into Shukuro? I hope that doesn't come with negative repercussions.

(Meanwhile) In Wahrwelt

Uryu was standing by one of the gates in Wahrwelt. Uryu was in deep thoughts about something.

(Flashback)

Ichigo, Uryu and (Y/N) were on the school's rooftop. Uryu was reading a book while Ichigo and (Y/N) were playing Crazy Eights. There was a soothing quietness before Ichigo spoke.

Ichigo: Are you okay attending such an ordinary high school?

Ichigo directed that comment at Uryu.

Uryu: What does that mean?

Ichigo: No, I was just thinking you should attend a better high school, right? I mean... Sons of doctors would usually want to be a doctor, right?

Uryu: Your father is a doctor as well, isn't he?

Ichigo: My family is different. He's more like a scruffy man.

(Y/N): You may not want to admit it but your dad is a good doctor, Ichigo. Same to your's, Uryu. But I am curious now that Ichigo brought it up. Are you thinking of becoming a doctor too or do you have another career in mind?

Uryu stayed quiet for a moment before speaking.

Uryu: I no longer want to be a doctor.

Ichigo: No longer?

(Y/N): So you wanted to be a doctor before?

Uryu stayed quiet. Ichigo and (Y/N) thought that maybe it was a sensitive topic for him.

Ichigo: Forget it, you don't have to answer.

(Y/N): He's right. Let's change the topic, but before that...

(Y/N) played his last card.

(Y/N): I win. The score is tied now.

Ichigo: No it's not. It's 3-2 in my favor.

(Y/N): That game was the tie breaker. The score is 3-3.

Ichigo: Let's just scratch the scoreboard and start from scratch.

(Y/N): Fine by me. Say Uryu, wanna join us?

Uryu: I'm not really familiar with card games.

Ichigo: Then we'll teach you.

(Y/N): We still have time before class starts. Play a few with us.

Uryu pondered for a moment before caving in.

Uryu: Alright, fine...

(Y/N) passed all the cards to Ichigo to shuffle while Uryu pondered on his own thoughts.

"Yes. Since that day, I've decided not to be a doctor."



"If a doctor's job involves dismembering his deceased wife, I don't want to be like that."

Uryu shook those negative thoughts out of his mind before focusing on spending time with his friends.

Uryu's memory ended when he was called by Haschwalth.

Haschwalth: Uryu Ishida. You look like you've got a lot on your mind.

Uryu: You're the one who looks like you've got a lot on your mind.

Haschwalth: Have you forgotten? While His Majesty sleeps, His Majesty's power and my power can be switched. The power to be able to see into the future makes people worry a lot. Isn't that right, Uryu Ishida?



As Haschwalth spoke, Uryu took a look in his eyes and realized that he had multiple pupils, indicating that he indeed held the power of the Almighty in his grasp.

Uryu: Did you foresee my betrayal?

Haschwalth: Why would you say something like that? I haven't said anything yet. However...

Haschwalth reached into his coat and dropped multiple chip mechanisms on the floor beneath him.

Haschwalth: ...I have found several of these things which you had placed throughout Wahrwelt.

Uryu feigned ignorance.

Uryu: I've never seen them before.

Haschwalth: Oh? But I've seen the mechanism used in these chips before. This mechanism breaks down and scatters spirit particles in a very similar way to the one used in the Sanrei Glove.

Haschwalth then stared at Uryu dead in the eyes.

Haschwalth: Uryu Ishida. What were you trying to accomplish by placing these throughout Wahrwelt?

Uryu: Baseless accusations.

Haschwalth: I disagree. The time has come to reveal the truth and lies. If you're here as a successor, then prove it to me. Prove you're not a traitor.

Haschwalth drew his sword and swung it at Uryu. The sword swing was strong enough to push Uryu out of the confines of Wahrwelt.

Uryu: Wait, Haschwalth!

Uryu stopped in his tracks as he felt familiar spiritual pressures behind him. Uryu turned behind him with wide eyes as he saw Ichigo, Orihime, and Chad standing behind him.



Ichigo: Ishida.

Uryu: Kurosaki.

Uryu noticed the lack of (Y/N)'s presence. That was slightly concerning for Uryu. Where was he at a time like this? He only had one chance to protect his friends and he couldn't do that with one of them missing.

"Most of the players are here. It seems that (Y/N) (L/N) is missing though."

Haschwalth followed behind Uryu.

Haschwalth: You're lucky, Uryu Ishida. Even fate has come to help you prove it. Prove it to me. Since you say you are not a traitor, kill them right here in front of me. I already know how you would answer, Uryu Ishida.

For a slight moment, the Almighty's normal red pupils turned blue. It was at that moment a newcomer joined and without hesitation, swung his sword at Haschwalth, landing a cut into his shoulder.

"I was slightly off. Almighty or not, I'll get a clean cut next time."

Haschwalth: Now the cast is all here. Welcome, (Y/N) (L/N).

(Y/N) stood behind Haschwalth with a serious look on his face.

(Y/N): Ichigo, I can take on Haschwalth! Focus on Uryu!

Ichigo: Right!

Haschwalth simply laughed.

Haschwalth: You believe you can outwit me? As keen as you may be, even you can't tell what the future holds.

(Y/N): You can see my future can you? Then that must mean you must know what I'll do before I do it. Then tell me, why did you get hit by my attack just now? Are you going to say you allowed me to land my attack on purpose?

The Right Hand of the King didn't have any words left to say as simply locked blades with (Y/N). With each block, (Y/N) became more accurate at reading Haschwalth moves.



Haschwalth, despite not showing it, was confused on how (Y/N) was able to keep up.

(Y/N): You might not show it on your face, but your eyes are wandering. You're confused aren't you? How I'm keeping up with the Almighty. Don't be surprised. The moment I landed that first attack on you, I knew that the Almighty wasn't perfect in your hands. I saw it. The moment the color in your eyes changed.

Haschwalth: Knowing about the weakness of my imperfect Almighty doesn't mean you can accurately predict the future of this fight.

(Y/N): Maybe so, but...

At that moment a beam of fire came directly behind Haschwalth. Haschwalth predicted this and moved out of the way.

Haschwalth: They call you a kind soul, (Y/N). Yet you did something very heinous.

(Y/N): I didn't do this out of malice or selfishness. It was his choice.

Standing behind Haschwalth was Bazz-B.

Haschwalth: And here I thought I was able to let go of my past.

Bazz-B: The future didn't predict this, didn't it.

Haschwalth: Allowing yourself to be controlled by a Shinigami. Do you have no shame in yourself as a Quincy?

Bazz-B: Controlled? Call it a second chance at life! This time, I'll take care of you for good Jugo!

Haschwalth: Then come at me! Both of you! (Y/N)! Bazz!

Bazz-B: You finally called me Bazz like old times!

(Y/N) and Bazz-B rushed Haschwalth as they fought fiercely.

(Meanwhile)

Slipping out of the fight with Gerard, Urahara made his way to another battle closeby. But Urahara wasn't alone.

Urahara: Thank you for accompanying me, Mr. Ichimaru.

Gin: It's no big deal. Honestly, my skill set isn't suited for a battle like that. So are we joining another fight?

Urahara: Yes. If I recall, I saw Yushiro split off and go in this direction not too long ago. That could only mean Yoruichi is around here somewhere. No doubt she stayed behind to fight whatever enemy came in this direction. She's using herself as bait to allow the others to reach the castle.

Gin: So we're going to be on clean up duty?

Urahara: If the enemy proves to be weaker than we thought then yes. However these Quincies have proven to be tough to handle. We'll most likely be fighting alongside Yoruichi.

Gin: That's fine by me.

Urahara then dug into his pockets and handed something in a bag to Gin.

Gin: What's this?

Urahara: Don't use that until we get to the battle. We'll need it in a pinch. Think of it as me preparing for any situation.

Gin: Then I'll hold onto it.

Urahara then saw a figure on a rooftop. As Urahara took a closer look, he realized it was Grimmjow.

Urahara: Well whattaya know...

Gin: It's Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez. I never thought I'd see his face again.

Urahara: That must mean we're close.

Urahara and Gin landed on the building as Urahara began to heal Grimmjow.

Ichigo and Uryu were locked into an intense battle as they landed into one of the lower floors of Wahrwelt.

Ichigo: This time I have to get the answer. Ishida. What are your reasons for joining the Quincies and for battling us?

Uryu: What can you do if I tell you?

Ichigo: If your reason is acceptable to me, we can have a fight or whatever. I will beat you up to make you come to your senses.

Uryu: What if you can't accept it?

Ichigo: Beat you up, of course.

Uryu: So, you're going to beat me up anyway.

At that moment, (Y/N) came crashing down on the same floor as Ichigo and Uryu. (Y/N) nonchalantly got up and prepared to re-enter the fight with Haschwalth before seeing Ichigo and Uryu.

(Y/N): What are you two doing?

Uryu: (Y/N)? Perfect timing.

Uryu took out a metal plate with a red jewel in the middle.

Uryu: This is the key of the sun. Every member of the Sternritter has one of these. If you use it to detect metal plates called "The Gate of the Sun" set at various places in the Wahrwelt, you can move between the gates. On the fifth floor beneath, there is a Gate of the Sun for invading the Human World. You guys use that door to return to the Human World. I am staying here to destroy the Wahrwelt and Yhwach.

(Y/N) and Ichigo simultaneously looked at Uryu in shock. Ichigo walked up to Uryu, but instead of grabbing the key, Ichigo grabbed Uryu by the collar.

Ichigo: Are you kidding me, Ishida? Why didn't you ask us to fight with you?

(Y/N): Ichigo's right! We always relied on each other for help! Why's this time any different?

Uryu: I knew you would say that. That's why I came without telling you.

Ichigo: It's all the same if we defeat Yhwach.

Uryu: Impossible. You two have no way to defeat him.

(Y/N): Possibilities be damned! When have we ever cared about that?! What makes you think this is a job only you can handle?!

Uryu: Only I can do it! I have inherited the bloodlines of my master and my mother. So only I can do it!

There was a loud silence that filled the room in that moment before Uryu spoke again.

Uryu: I've thought it over before doing this. Just leave. Before Haschwalth notices it.

"I don't understand. What do you mean by that?"

The group heard Haschwalth's voice approaching them and Bazz-B's body getting thrown across the room.

Haschwalth: I've said it before. I already know how you would answer. Uryu Ishida.

As Haschwalth approached the group, Uryu stood his ground.

Uryu: (Y/N), Kurosaki, I'll hold him off. You guys get to the Gate of the Sun. Hurry, go before it's too late.

Haschwalth: Didn't you hear? I've said it before. I already know how you would answer. The Gate of the Sun leading to the Human World has already been destroyed. I'm going to end all this, Uryu Ishida, before His Majesty awakens.

(Y/N) took a battle stance.

(Y/N): Well you heard him. I guess the three stooges are in it together until the end.

Ichigo: We have no choice but to fight him, Ishida.

That's when Uryu had an epiphany.

Uryu: *thinking* Wait. Before His Majesty awakens?

Uryu: (Y/N), Kurosaki, you both noticed his eyes had become the same as Yhwach's, right?

(Y/N): Yeah. Bazz-B told me after I took his soul.

Uryu: His power only exchanges with Yhwach's when he's asleep. Yhwach currently does not possess the power of The Almighty. He's on the top floor of the Wahrwelt.

(Y/N): So you're suggesting we kill him before he wakes up, huh? That's honestly a better and easier plan than trying to kill Haschwalth. If we have someone to delay Haschwalth then we can handle that issue.

Ichigo: Ishida, you really plan to stay here? He has Yhwach's power, we should stick together...

Uryu: Stop rambling and go. (Y/N) already sees the benefits of the plan. You trust him, don't you? Besides, I assure you these aren't my last words.



Hearing this, Ichigo smiled and decided to place his faith into Uryu.



Ichigo: Let's get going you guys.

(Y/N): Right. Let's end Yhwach.

Bazz-B slowly got up as walked beside Uryu.

Bazz-B: I'll stay behind. I'll back up Ishida while you guys just finish off Yhwach.

(Y/N): Way ahead of you.

As (Y/N) the group ran off, Uryu spoke up.

Uryu: You're not chasing them, huh? Are you sure?

Haschwalth: Don't make me repeat myself. I've seen through everything. They're gonna die, so there's no need for me to chase them.

Uryu: Is that so? However... The future is subject to change, right?

Haschwalth: How surprising, Uryu Ishida. You're a different person from just now. You seem to be full of hope now.

Uryu: I see. Whether or not I am truly full of hope, the fact that you find it surprising means that you hadn't seen me full of hope before. It seems for you, that power is far from The Almighty.



Haschwalth didn't like Uryu's statement and drew his sword while Uryu summoned his Heilig Bogen. Uryu, Bazz-B and Haschwalth had a short standoff before entering battle.

(End Song)

(Meanwhile) Somewhere in Wahrwelt.

A metal plate hit the ground as three males teleported into the Wahrwelt. Standing in Wahrwelt were Isshin, Ryuken, and (F/N).

Ryuken: That's a surprise. Didn't expect a pass from decades ago to still work.

Isshin: You have to thank your dad. He cleverly took this with him when he was exiled.

Ryuken: I suppose so. For the first time in my life, I am thankful for my no-good father's thieving ways.

Isshin: Is that any way to talk about your dad? It's no wonder your own son shows you no respect.



(F/N): And here I thought I treated my father with disrespect. You're even worse than I am.

However irony struck as (F/N) felt a madly familiar spiritual pressure under Wahrwelt.

(F/N): And speaking of my father... I hope this is just a sick joke.

Ryuken: So you feel it too, huh?

(F/N): Yeah. If I'm not going crazy, that's definitely the old man's spiritual pressure.

Isshin: What will you do?

(F/N): You two can handle delivering the arrowhead to Uryu. I'm going to have a little family reunion.

Holy crap. I can't believe we actually did it. I really hope I can stick the landing for this arc. But it's getting really exciting.

Once TYBW is done, I can finally focus on writing more (Y/N) x Soi-Fon moments. There's only so much I can do during a huge war like this but I did my best.
