Roughly 2 Decades Ago...

Somewhere in the Soul Society, Aizen was in a laboratory with Gin and Tosen. They were getting ready to release a Hollow of some kind.

Tosen: White is ready to be deployed.

Aizen: Good.

Gin: If I may, what of the next project? You've created a Hollow with the body of a dead shinigami. What could you possibly create next?

Aizen: Curious aren't we? Well, I've been working on something that's quite the opposite of White. What if I can create a Shinigami from a Hollow?

Gin: Oh? And how's that going?

Aizen: Many of my attempts have failed so far. I've collected the few arrancars I could find for the project. After all, Arrancars have found a way to gain powers similar to a Shinigami. But at the end of the day, They don't have access to shikai or bankai. I want to make an Arrancar with the ability to use Resurreccion and Bankai.

In another room in the laboratory, A woman with (H/C) hair was sitting by herself in restraints.

"Mark my words Aizen... I WILL kill you..."

Somewhere in the World of the Living

Somewhere in Karakura Town a younger (F/N) was seen wearing a suit, sitting in the passenger seat of a car.

(F/N) was impatiently waiting in the car, getting more and more fed up.

(F/N): Geez, what's taking that old geezer so long?

Just then an older man, wearing a suit similar to (F/N), sat down in the driver's seat of the car.

(F/N): Finally! So, any luck Mr. Aoi?

The older man by the name "Aoi" grunted in response, while having an angry look on his face.

(F/N): I'll take that as a no...

Aoi: Are people in this city blind!? How can literal explosions happen and nobody know the source of it. And us, the police department, are just as bad! People are dropping left and right and yet we can't find the cause? Despicable!

(F/N): You're surely passionate.

Aoi: If you want to make it to the top, you have to be passionate about what you do! Make sure you remember that newbie!

(F/N): Yeah Yeah...

There have been a lot of reports of both explosions and missing or dead individuals in the few days. Unfortunately no progress was being made in the case whatsoever. And the newly recruited (F/N) was shadowing a more experienced detective in solving the case.

(Timeskip) Two months later

Soul Society

Aizen was in his laboratory monitoring White's actions.

Aizen: He's yet to hollowfy any of his targets.

Gin: Should we call this one a failure?

Aizen: No. Let's continue to monitor him. Gin, Tosen, get ready to head out.

Both: Right.

...

...

...

"Aizen is leaving? This may be my chance to escape!"

The prisoner started to pull at the chains, and use any scrap item she could to destroy the restraints she was tied in.

A few hours later

Once the woman knew she was in the clear, she mustered up the last of her energy to break through the last of her restraints.

"Now then, I need a place to escape to. *signs* I guess my only option is the World of the living. I'm far too weak to return to Hueco Mundo, I'll only be devoured upon returning. And trying to find another hiding spot in the Soul Society is just waiting for my death. I'll just stay in the World of the Living until I recover..."

(Meanwhile)

(F/N) was counting down the clock. He couldn't wait for his shift to be over. He was currently on patrol once again with Aoi.

(F/N): Are we done here Mr. Aoi? Time's ticking.

Aoi: You should be thankful you're even still on the job. Quite frankly, your lazy attitude is a burden. You should start picking up the slack if you want to get off the job quicker.

(F/N): Fine! *mumbling* If that's what it takes to keep you from yapping.

Aoi: What was that newbie! (F/N): Nothing sir.

Aoi: That's what I thought!

Just then an explosion went off in the distance.

Aoi: What in the world!

(F/N): Sounds like trouble!

Aoi: And a one way ticket to solving this case!

(F/N): Hold up old man, you aren't really going into the scene are you?

Aoi: Of course I am, I'm not giving up a lead this big!

(F/N): Then you could go by yourself. I'm not putting my life on the line for this-

Before (F/N) could exit the car, Aoi sped off in the car with (F/N) still in the passenger seat.

(F/N): DAMN IT YOU CRAZY OLD FOOL, LEAVE ME OUT OF YOUR DEATH WISH!

Aoi: If you didn't want to risk your life on the job, why did you join the police force?

(F/N): Huh?

Aoi: Are you deaf? I ask why did you join the police force if you didn't want to put your life on the line for it!?

(F/N): I just wanted to get a job my parents could be proud of... I don't really have anything I'm particularly motivated in if I'm being honest...

Aoi: Then make them proud. This is your chance to do so. You're an intelligent young man (L/N). You can make a difference that many people can't.

(F/N) was caught off by the sudden words of encouragement by Aoi, but didn't have the chance to dwell on it as they entered the chaos.

Aoi: Look alive (L/N)! Look for anything suspicious or something that might stand out!

From (F/N)'s perspective he just heard and saw buildings collapsing.

(M/N) POV

(M/N) thought she was going to be safe in the World of the Living, but she was proving wrong almost instantly. The first thing she saw upon entering was a fight between a Shinigami Captain and one of Aizen's creations.



(M/N): Just my luck...

Just then, the Hollow took notice of (M/N) and changed its target to her.

(M/N): You've got to be kidding me.

(M/N), although still heavily injured, shot a Cero at the rampaging Hollow, pushing it back. The Shinigami captain capitalized on this opportunity by throwing a slash of fire towards the Hollow. This resulted in a huge explosion.

(M/N): Crap, now the Shinigamis know I'm here. Even if we take care of the Hollow, I'll be next on his list.

(M/N) tried to make her escape but the Hollow now had her in her sights and gave chase. The captain followed close behind, not letting up his assault.

(M/N): Damn, this guy is persistent.

(M/N) grabbed the hilt of the sword that she had been holding onto before yelling-

Bite the dust, La Corneja!

(M/N)'s sword disappeared before growing two bird-like wings on her back and her usual (E/C) turned pure white. Her nails grew as long as talons.

As the Hollow closed in on (M/N) with its sharp, blade-like arms, (M/N) countered with her sharp talon claws. (M/N) gripped the blade arms on the Hollow with so much force that it started to crack.

Out of nowhere, the Shinigami Captain swung his blade down to the hollows head. However, The hollow swung its body, pushing (M/N), who was holding onto it, into the Shinigami Captain. The Hollow then charged a Cero of its own before shooting it at the two combatants. Both fighters jumped out of the way of the attack. However the attack went flying in the direction of two humans who happened to be in the area.

(F/N)'s POV

(F/N) couldn't help but feel like he was way over his head being here. He couldn't tell what was going on.

(F/N): Hey Mr. Aoi, this doesn't seem worth it! we're practically asking to die considering we came here without having a good way to protect ourselves from explosives and flying debris! This is reckless, and I'm putting that lightly!

Aoi: Hush boy! As long as we can find the thing that started this incident in the first place, we can make a great breakthrough in this case!

Just then (F/N) heard something. A screeching sound. (F/N) had a bad feeling, and he didn't want to take any chances.

(F/N): Mr. Aoi, get down!

(F/N) dove to push down the elderly man. Although (F/N) couldn't see anything, he felt like he and Mr. Aoi narrowly dodged something. As soon as that thought entered his head, he immediately felt a force from an explosion hit him and Mr. Aoi.

(F/N) felt dizzy and dazed from the explosion.

(F/N): Hey Mr. Aoi are you feeling alright- M-MR. AOI, YOUR LEG!

(F/N)'s superior, although alive, was bleeding from his now missing left leg.

Aoi: Don't worry about me boy! Just keep your eyes open for anything!

(F/N): Now's not the time to be worrying about this stupid case, we gotta get you out of here and to a hospital! Where's the car?

(F/N) looked in the direction of the car, only to see that the car was a victim of the explosion that just took place.

Aoi: *signs* Fine! Just give it one last look and let's get out of here.

(F/N): So far the only thing that's been happening were explosions, for all I know the thing that's causing them is invisible-

(F/N) stopped in his tracks as he made a sudden realization. Nobody was able to give an account on what was going on because they didn't know what happened. Even now, while (F/N) and Aoi were in the cause of the scene, he couldn't see anything. Whatever is causing these explosions aren't visible to the human eye.

(F/N): Mr. Aoi... I think I have a theory on what's going on. Granted, it doesn't get us any closer to figuring out the case.

Aoi was shocked to hear this.

Aoi: Do you, now? I'm all ears.

(F/N): Nobody saw what caused the explosion, and neither do we. Whatever is causing these events to happen may very well be something we can see normally with our own eyes.

Aoi: It's very well a start to something. But that doesn't help us as you say.

(F/N): Say Mr. Aoi... before that explosion happened, did you hear anything?

Aoi: N-No, why do you ask?

(F/N): Before that explosion went off, I heard something, although I didn't see it for myself. It is safe to say that if we can at the very least use our hearing to maneuver around the area.

Aoi, despite the pain he was in, could only, only give a small smile as he saw his trainee starting to take things seriously.

As (F/N) turned to the massive scene unfolding, (F/N) was taken off guard.

(F/N): *mumbling* What the hell-

(F/N) was able to see small outlines and faint details of 3 individuals. (F/N) wasn't sure if he was hallucinating but he was starting to think solving this case was possible. (F/N) didn't know why but fear he felt before was met with excitement as well. (F/N) had an unusual smirk on his face.

(F/N) pulled out his phone before calling an ambulance and reporting Aoi's accident. (F/N) then turned to Aoi.

(F/N): Hey Mr. Aoi, the ambulance will be here soon, try to stay strong until they get here. I'll go in further to investigate.

Aoi: Where did you get this surge of confidence from?

(F/N): Don't worry about me old man, worry about not fainting from blood loss. Now I'm off. I'll try to return in time for the ambulance's arrival.

(F/N) ran into the action. (F/N) was able to detect the real threat in the situation. The tall horn creature that looked like it came from the underworld. The two others seem to be the one's trying to fend it off. Although one of them looks like they could've been from a comic book with how outrageous they look. But then again he couldn't see much.

(F/N) looked at the Horned creature and aimed his pistol, something he didn't know he would be using so early in his career. (F/N) took a shot and it flew right through the monster, phasing right through it.

The sound of the gunshot caught the monster's attention. It then turned to (F/N) and it ran to him. However, before (F/N) could react, the Shinigami captain intercepted.

Captain: Your fight's with me big guy!

(M/N): Don't forget me!

(M/N) swiped her hand upwards, creating a large wave of energy targeted at the Hollow.



The Hollow, taking massive damage, got back up and charged the two fighters, knocking them both back. The Hollow then charged another Cero, however (F/N) shot another bullet at the Hollow, hoping to change its choice of target.

It worked, but at what cost. The Hollow turned to (F/N) ready to attack but just like last time, his attack was blocked, this time by (M/N). The force of the attack knocked (M/N) away, flying into (F/N).

(F/N): Damn, I'm going to feel that one in the morning... If I even survive that long...

(M/N): What the hell are you even doing here? And how can you even see us?

(F/N): I wish I knew! Besides, I wouldn't be here if I was here by choice.

(M/N): I can relate. Now stay out of the way if you don't want to die!

(F/N): Hold on, what are you exactly!

(M/N): Now's not the time for a conversation! Now find a hiding spot until we settle this!

(F/N): Hey, I can at least distract that thing for a second. That's enough to turn the tide for you two right?

(M/N): *signs* Whatever.

The woman dashed back into the action before fighting once again. As the fight continued, (F/N) realized that he was getting used to seeing these "invisible" individuals. Their form started to take a more solid look. And it seemed like the two fighters were wearing down the monster.

However things turned for the worst when suddenly the male in the kimono got slashed in the back. He didn't know where the attack came from but the male stood strong and held his ground while the female tried to retaliate.

(F/N): Damn it! Am I really this useless? I'm not some super freak like they are? What can I do?

Out of frustration, (F/N) aimed his gun before taking another shot. However this time, when (F/N) pulled the trigger, he felt different. The bullet that left the chamber of the gun wasn't just any normal bullet, rather, it glowed a green color as it hit the Hollow straight on in the horn.

(F/N): D-did... Did that actually work?

Just then another fighter entered the scuffle as a glowing arrow came flying at the hollow.

(F/N) looked at the source of the arrow and saw a school girl who didn't look that much younger than him. Maybe 5-6 years younger with brown short hair. (F/N) noticed that she was at least a normal person since he could see her clearly.



The girl in question started firing multiple arrows that seemed impossible for a normal person to do. The Hollow dodged all of the arrows fired at it and dived at the girl. The girl simply allowed the Hollow to bite into her before shooting the arrow directly into the head of the Hollow.

Just when (F/N) thought things were going great, they turned worse. What (F/N) assumed was the heart, grew in size at a rapid rate. (F/N) quickly screamed out to the girl.

(F/N): Hey kid! Get out of there, that thing's gonna blow!

(M/N): Worry about yourself first!

Just then, the winged woman and the man in the kimono saved the two humans in the area, just as the Hollow exploded.

(End Song)

As (F/N) recovered from the impact, he looked at the woman who saved him. After getting a closer look at the woman, (F/N) thought she looked pretty cute, despite the menacing eyes, sharp claws and wings coming out of her back. Also what was with that cracked skeleton that covered the side of her head? Wait, was (F/N) able to see her clearly now?

(F/N): Hey lady are you alright?

(M/N): I should be asking you that question? But then again, I'm saving someone I don't even know or care for.

(F/N): Isn't saving someone who's in trouble normal?

(M/N) never thought saving people was in her nature. She wasn't sure why she did it. Maybe because she desperately wanted to be saved from Aizen clutches? She didn't know.

(M/N): I don't know...

(F/N): Anyway, if that's the end of things, we should probably get you somewhere safe. Guess I'm taking care of two people tonight.

(M/N): Huh?

(F/N): That guy who brought me here in the first place got injured from one of those stray explosions. He's in need of immediate care.

(F/N) then remembered the other two people who were involved in the explosion.

(F/N): Hey are you two alright over there!

The man in the kimono gave a hearty laugh before giving a thumbs up.

Man in Kimono: Nothing I can't handle.

Girl: I'm fine, thanks!

(F/N) signed before scratching his head.

(F/N): Tonight sucks...

(M/N): I could agree honestly. Now if you'll excuse me...

(M/N) then returned to her original form, her eyes returning to normal and losing her wings and claws.

(F/N): Hey where are you going?

(M/N): Somewhere that isn't here.

Just then the man in the kimono shouted out to (M/N).

Man in Kimono: Hey you, you're an arrancar right? I know both Shinigamis and Hollows aren't the best of friends but you really saved my skin tonight! You even help save these kind individuals, so thank you!

(F/N) was hearing a bunch of words he didn't understand, but he was at least able to gather context.

(M/N): Don't thank me, after all you're gonna come after me next aren't you?

Man in Kimono: Nah, especially not tonight. I'm not sure how I'm gonna explain to my superiors why I'm here in the first place

(F/N): Oh trust me, I'm in the same boat. So, what do I do with you guys? One is a school girl and the other 2 are invisible to the human eye. Can't exactly take you two in for questioning.

Man in Kimono: Sorry that I can't help you out after the help you provided us.

(M/N) was quiet throughout the conversation. She did notice that (F/N) actually did damage with his last shot. She wasn't sure what made that last shot different from the rest but it intrigued her.

Meanwhile (F/N) just signed in frustration. He technically made a huge breakthrough in the case. Heck, he could even say he solved it, but there was no way he could prove it.

(F/N): *sign* Alright you two return to wherever you came from. I'll make sure the girl at least gets home okay. Usually I'd have to take her in for questioning but we both know what went down tonight. As Law enforcement, the least I could do is make sure she gets home safely. Besides, the ambulance should be-

Before (F/N) could finish his sentence, sirens could be heard in the distance as the ambulance arrived on the scene.

(F/N): Guess that's our cue, let's go.

School girl: Huh? R-right...

(M/N): Hey!

(F/N): Hm? Yes?

(M/N): What's your name?

(F/N): It's (F/N) (L/N). What about you?

(M/N): ...(M/N) La Parca

(F/N): Good to know. What about you, in the kimono?

Man in Kimono: Oh, The name's Isshin Shiba!

(F/N): By the way, I didn't get your name. That's pretty important in a situation like right now. I gotta fabricate a story somehow.

School Girl: Oh, right. Ahem. My name is Masaki Kurosaki, nice to meet you.

(F/N): And I'm (F/N) (L/N). Police detective. Just let me do all the talking with the authorities. Our cover up story is...

And with that the (F/N) somehow made it out of a supernatural battle with his life, somehow. Little did he know, he got himself in a world he didn't want anything to do with.

So I saw many people theorizing who (Y/N)'s mother is, although I think many people forgot I had (Y/N)'s mother listed in the bio section, she just another inset character. So yeah, she's not an already existing character.

Also, backstory for (F/N). We get to see how he first meet (M/N) and how he first started to see spirits. Just like with Orihime and Chad, a lot of exposure to spiritual energy slowly gave him the ability to see spirits. He even unconsciously tapped into his fullbring for a second.

Now for (M/N). I thought the idea of Aizen creating White from a bod from a dead shinigami was interesting and I thought to myself "what if Aizen did the exact opposite?" And that's how I got the concept for (M/N). It'll also explain why (Y/N) got shinigami powers despite not having any shinigami parents.

Also for (M/N)'s release form, I got mixed answers on animals that was associated with The Grim Reaper, so I got a bit more vague, and even then I got a lot of answers of what animal closely resembles death. In the end I settled on a crow, since they also resemble bad luck, something I realize (Y/N) always bring up when something never goes his way.

Continuing with the spanish motif that the hollows have, (M/N) release is named La Corneja, which translate to hooded crow in english. I should preface by saying that I do not know spanish whatsoever and I had to google translate anything I wrote in spanish. If anyone who does speak spanish is readhing this story, please correct me.

This also brings me to my next fun fact: I found out that "La Parca" is another name for Grim Reaper which is why I made it (M/N)'s maiden name.

I'm sorry that this A/N is so long I just wanted to point out every reference I made and explain anything that may be a cause for questioning.
