School had just ended. (Y/N), Ichigo and their friends were all gathered at the back of the class, talking about their plans.

Keigo: So are everyone's schedules cleared for this weekend?

Mizuiro: Yep.

Ichigo: Mhm.

Tatsuki: Karate lessons were cancelled for today, so I don't have anything planned.

Orihime: I have the day off, so I'm all clear.

Chizuru: Same.

Keigo then looked towards (Y/N).

Keigo: What about you, (Y/N)? This is our chance to have a hang out with the whole gang.

(Y/N): Sorry, something came up... You guys go without me. Besides, is it really the whole crew when Chad and Uryu aren't present?

Mizuiro: I guess you're right but Uryu is a bit standoffish, isn't he?

(Y/N): If you pester him long enough I'm sure he'd go. Unless a "you know what" appears or he has class president duties to do. And Chad should be around here somewhere.

Chad: I'm right here.

Chad just randomly showed up out of nowhere, scaring everyone.

Keigo: Wh-Wh-Where did you come from, Chad?

Chad: I've been here the whole time.

Mizuiro: Does that mean you'll be going with us?

Chad: Mhm.

Keigo: So, (Y/N) and Uryu really are the only two that aren't going. Come on, (Y/N) can't your important business thing wait?

(Y/N): No can do. I've pushed it back too far. I'll make it up to you guys somehow. I'll see you guys later.

(Y/N) got up and left the classroom. Orihime yelled as (Y/N) was about to leave the classroom.

Orihime: Good luck! You got this!

The rest of the friend group (with the exception of Ichigo) gave Orihime a confused look.

Mizuiro: What do you mean "good luck"?

Chizuru: Sounds like dear little Orihime seems to know where (Y/N) is headed off to.

Orihime immediately covered her mouth. Orihime quickly tried to act "natural".

Orihime: W-whatever do you mean? I-I just wished (Y/N) good luck with whatever he's doing...

*whistle*

Tatsuki: We all know you're a horrible liar Orihime.

Ichigo simply facepalmed.

Ichigo: You already gave him away so you might as well tell them. They aren't going to believe you if you lie.

Orihime: E-eh? (Y/N) will get mad at me if I do.

Ichigo: (Y/N) out of all people wouldn't be upset. Disappointed? Sure...

Orihime: That doesn't make me feel better...

Keigo: Sounds like Ichigo is also a suspect in this case.

Mizuiro: You make it sound like this is a crime.

Kiego: Alright Ichigo, what's the big idea? Where did (Y/N) go that was so important that he'd leave his dear friends behind?

Ichigo rubbed the back of his head with an annoyed expression on his face.

Ichigo: Fine... (Y/N) went on a date.

"WHAT"

Keigo, Tatsuki and Chizuru all yelled at the same time.

Keigo: There's no way, right? (Y/N) hid the fact that he had a girlfriend from us? His friends? I feel betrayed!

Keigo started to act dramatically.

Mizuiro: I don't think that's something (Y/N) would hide from us. Maybe we're just misinterpreting things.

Chizuru: Mizuiro's right. This isn't like a world ending monster like last time so I'm sure (Y/N) would've told us if he had a girlfriend. What do you think Tatsuki-

Chizuru stopped abruptly as she saw Tatsuki on the floor, looking defeated.



Chizuru: At this point she doesn't even hide the fact that she has a crush on him anymore...

Keigo: Alright, Ichigo tell us all the info you know!

Orihime: Well, (Y/N) originally came to me for advice. Ichigo was simply present when the conversation happened.

(Flashback)

(Y/N): Hey Orihime, you got a second.

(Y/N) stopped Orihime right before she left the school grounds.

Orihime: Oh, (Y/N)! Do you need something?

(Y/N): I'll make it quick. So um... yeah... I need help. More specifically, I need advice on something.

Orihime: I'm not sure if I'm good at giving advice but I'll do my best! What do you need?

(Y/N): Since you're a girl, what would you say... is a good place to take a girl out?

Orihime: I've never thought about it... Are you going out on a date?

(Y/N): Yeah, I guess you could call it that...

Orihime: Really? Congratulations! Who is it?

???: Who else could it be?

Just then Ichigo walked in on the conversation.

Ichigo: No doubt it's Soi-Fon.

(Y/N): Don't say it out loud! But yeah...

Orihime: So you need an idea of where to take her, huh? Hmm... Oh, I know!

Many ideas later.

(Y/N): Orihime, thank you for taking your time to help me out in my time of need. But I'm sorry. I can't use any of your recommendations.

Orihime: Eh? Why not?

(Y/N): I can't possibly imagine taking a girl out to a "sumo wrestling competition" and call it fun.

Ichigo: Why not just do what you did last time.

(Y/N): The original idea was to go to a movie but that was five months ago. That movie has long been out of theatres.

Orihime: Are you sure none of the ideas can work? Not even the occult idea?

(Y/N): DEFINITELY NOT THE OCCULT IDEA! We want to relax, not fight. We already do that on a nearly daily basis. And we definitely don't want to fight demons from the unknown.

Ichigo: Why not ask (S/N) then? She must know somewhere?

(Y/N): I wanted to avoid asking her out of embarrassment... She'll be sure to tease me to no end.

Ichigo: Well good luck with that.

(Y/N): *sigh* Oh well, I'll figure something out...

(Flashback End)

Orihime: And that's what happened.

Orihime intentionally left out Soi-Fon's name as to prevent being bombarded with more questions

Keigo: You know what this means?

Mizuiro: That (Y/N) needs privacy?

Keigo: Nonsense. It means we follow him and find out who this mysterious girl is!

Ichigo: That's a horrible idea-

Just then Ichigo got a call on his phone. His friends couldn't tell what was being said but they could definitely hear shouting from the other side. Once the conversation was finished Ichigo turned to his friends.

Ichigo: Change of plans. I can't stay. My boss is chewing me out for skipping out on work and now she wants me to come in.

Keigo: Everything's falling apart!!!

Keigo yelled dramatically.

Chizuru: Nobody else may want to go on this expedition with you but I will! Let's find out who this mysterious female is!

Keigo: Eh? You mean it?

Chizuru: Of course! Let's go, Orihime!

Orihime: Huh? I'm coming too? W-well okay then...

Mizuiro: Well I guess we're really doing this. It's all on you Tatsuki. I doubt you'd wanna-

Tatsuki: What are we waiting for? (Y/N)'s getting further and further as we speak!

Chizuru: She's really invested huh...

(Meanwhile)

(Y/N) beelined home. (Y/N) made it home so quickly, he got there before (S/N) and Calavera. (S/N) was notorious for being the first person home and going to school with (S/N) meant Calavera followed suit.

(Y/N) changed out of his school uniform, took a shower and into a more appropriate outfit. On his way out of the house he bumped into (S/N) and Calavera who were just arriving home.

(Y/N): Hi and bye!

(S/N) was caught off guard by the sudden appearance and disappearance of her brother. Calavera seemed like she was in the loop however.

Calavera: Is it that time already?

(S/N): Time? For what?

Calavera: Hm? He didn't tell you?

(S/N): About what?

Calavera: About his "date" with Soi-Fon.

...

(S/N): WHAT?

(S/N) turn around immediately.

(S/N): QUICK! FOLLOW HIM!

Calavera: Wh-What? Hold on a second, what's this all of a sudden?

(S/N): I said we have to follow him! I demand an explanation about why he neglected to tell me about his date!

Calavera: You're surprisingly invested in (Y/N)'s love life aren't you?

(S/N): It's my job as his sister to make sure he doesn't fumble this! It is also my job to tease him if he does.

(S/N) then realized something.

(S/N): Wait a minute... How did you know about the date? He told you, didn't he?

Calavera: Mhm. He asked me for ideas.

(S/N): Oh so I wasn't good enough? Is that it? Am I now the least likeable sister?

Calavera: I'm sure it's not like that.

(S/N): I'll give him a piece of my mind later. For now, we have a date to investigate!

(S/N) pretty much dragged Calavera with her to follow (Y/N).

(Y/N) POV

(Y/N) was making his way to the designated meeting spot for his date.

And by designated spot, (Y/N) chose a park in the nearby area. (Y/N) made sure to pick a location Soi-Fon would be able to find easily. She doesn't come to the World of the Living often after all.

As (Y/N) was making his way there, (Y/N) thought back at how he even got to this point.

(Flashback) Two days prior

(Y/N) had just got done patrolling Karakura Town. On his way home his phone, more specifically, his spirit phone rang. (Y/N) was a bit surprised to hear it ring. He was usually the one to make the calls, not receive them. (Y/N) swiftly. answered the phone, hoping it wasn't an emergency. He didn't even check the caller ID.

(Y/N): Hello?

"Good evening, (Y/N). It's Soi-Fon."

(Y/N): Well, this is a pleasant surprise. What can I do for you, Soi-Fon?

"I called to inform you that I will be in the World of the Living 2 days from now. Please make sure you're available."

(Y/N): Huh? I'm going to need you to elaborate for me a little bit. Do you need assistance with something in the World of the Living?

"Do you remember our deal? I'm simply asking you to keep yourself available to fulfill it."

(Y/N): Huh? I don't believe I-

(Y/N) then remembered his agreement with Soi-Fon during the fact with Baraggan.

(Y/N): Right... I did promise. I guess that promise is long overdue. I'll make sure I'm available. Although I have to remind you. That movie you wanted to watch isn't in theaters anymore.

"Is that so? I see... that's unfortunate..."

(Y/N): There's still a lot more stuff we can do. Don't worry about it. There are still a lot of things we have that Soul Society doesn't have.

"I'll take your word for it then."

(Y/N): I'll plan something and get back to you tomorrow. How's that sound?

"Fine by me. Then I'll call again tomorrow."

(Y/N): Alright, I'll talk to you later then.

(Flashback End)

(Y/N): *thinking* You know... This was never my intention. And I never thought I'd get this far...

(Y/N) never thought he'd be going on a date. With Soi-Fon of all people.

Looking back at when they first met, Soi-Fon hated his guts. The change in impression has taken a 180 degree turn. (Y/N) couldn't really pinpoint when he started to catch feelings for the Captain but here he was.

As (Y/N) got to the meeting spot, he saw Soi-Fon who was already there waiting for him.

(Y/N): Hey, Soi-Fon! Hope I didn't keep you waiting long.

Soi-Fon: No. I just got here.

(Y/N): That's good... I like your outfit.

Soi-Fon: T-thanks... Yoruichi actually helped me pick it out...

(Y/N): *thinking* That means she's been here longer than she's letting on.

(Y/N): I see. Ready to go?

Soi-Fon: Yes. What did you have in mind?

(Y/N): Have you ever heard of roller skating?

(Timeskip)

Soi-Fon: So how exactly do I walk in these?

(Y/N): That's the neat part. You don't.

Soi-Fon: Huh?

(Y/N) and Soi-Fon were at a roller skating rink. (Y/N) wanted to do something that was more proactive in nature.

(Y/N): You don't walk in roller skates. Roller skating is more like gliding, if that makes any sense.

Soi-Fon: I'm not sure I follow.

(Y/N): It sounds weird, but you'll understand. Here. I'll help you.

(Y/N) helped Soi-Fon stand up in her roller skates. Soi-Fon had almost no balance, which was understandable for someone who has never skated before.

(Y/N): Alright first things first, spread your feet a bit more and bend a bit, that way you have better balance.

Soi-Fon followed (Y/N)'s instructions and tried to take up the correct posture.

Soi-Fon: L-like this?

(Y/N): You're getting the hang of it. Now start turning your feet until your heels face each other and start to take slow steps.

Soi-Fon: But you just said we wouldn't be walking?

(Y/N): Well, we aren't at the skating part yet. You have to learn how to move in the skates without falling first.

Soi-Fon: I see.

Soi-Fon started to take a step but immediately started to lose her balance. Thankfully (Y/N) was still holding Soi-Fon's hand to stop her from falling.

Soi-Fon: Ugh. This is embarrassing...

(Y/N): Let's not get frustrated just yet. This is your first time skating so you won't get it right away. Besides, falling is common in rollerskating. Even experienced roller skaters can mess up sometimes. Come on, let's give it a few more tries.

Soi-Fon: ...Alright.

After a few more attempts (which took a few minutes), Soi-Fon was able to take small steps a bit more confidently.

(Y/N): You're getting the hang of it!

Soi-Fon: This isn't as bad as I thought... So what's next?

(Y/N): The final step is to actually skate. When you take a step, try to push off that foot and let the wheels do the moving. When you feel yourself slowing down, switch to the other foot and do the exact same thing.

Soi-Fon: Sounds simple enough.

Soi-Fon finally started to attempt skating. She did stumble a bit but was able to keep her balance thanks to (Y/N).

(Y/N): I'll help you keep your balance for the first two laps around the rink and then I'll let go of your hand so you can skate by yourself.

Soi-Fon: Fine by me.

The first two went by without a hitch. Soi-Fon seemed to pick up on roller skating pretty quickly. (Y/N) released Soi-Fon's hand as she started to skate by herself.

(Y/N): You look like a natural at this.

Soi-Fon: Hm? You think so?

(Y/N): For your first time, you picked up on everything pretty quickly. So how does it feel? Skating, I mean.

Soi-Fon: This isn't what I was expecting but this is surprisingly enjoyable.

(Y/N): That's good to hear. The better you get at skating the more creative you can be. Many people learn to dance while roller skating.

Soi-Fon: That's possible?

(Y/N): Sure is! I'm not a good dancer though...

(Y/N) then looked over his shoulder. Soi-Fon noticed (Y/N) getting distracted.

Soi-Fon: Something the matter?

(Y/N): Nah, nothing to worry about.

Classmate POV

Keigo: That was so close! He almost caught us!

Tatsuki: We're too suspicious!

Orihime: You think so? I thought the disguises I brought were pretty good...

Orihime, Keigo, Tatsuki, Mizuiro and Chizuru were all doing their best to spy on (Y/N), but their large group and weird acting brought nothing but attention to themselves.

Mizuiro: I think we should split up. The longer we stay together the easier we'll get caught.

Chizuru: Right.

Tatsuki looked over to her shoulder and something caught her attention.

Tatsuki: Hey... isn't that-

Keigo turned around and saw (S/N) and Calavera in disguises that were even worse than theirs.

Keigo: I think we should just ditch the disguises at this point. If we could identify (Y/N)'s sisters then I'm sure we look just as noticeable.

Chizuru: He's right. Sorry Hime, but these won't do.

Orihime: Aww...

(S/N)'s POV

Calavera: We really don't have to spy on him you know... I'm sure he'd tell us the details if we just asked him when he got home.

(S/N): I'm not just here to spy. Although I do believe in (Y/N)'s ability to keep Soi-Fon entertained, my brother's far too dense in the romance department. So I'm here to be the Wingman... or rather Wingwoman...

Calavera: Okay but how are you going to do that when he doesn't even know you're here?

(S/N): I move in silence. I'll provide support in secret. How I'll do that... I haven't come up with an idea yet...

Calavera: Well he seems to be doing fine right now.

Calavera: *thinking*Not one but two groups of people are spying on (Y/N)? ANd I hate that I'm a part of one of them...

(Y/N)'s POV

(Y/N) and Soi-Fon were skating around the rink for about 10 minutes.

(Y/N): Hey, you wanna take a break?

Soi-Fon: Sure. But how do I stop?

(Y/N): Place one foot in front of the other and lean forward slightly. Then pressed down on the brakes located on the toes of the skates.

Following (Y/N)'s instructions, Soi-Fon successfully stopped.

Soi-Fon: You seem pretty good at teaching. Have you ever thought of taking it up as a profession?

(Y/N): *chuckle* Nah, teaching isn't something I'm passionate about. Ever since the war I've been thinking about what profession I wanted to take up.

Soi-Fon: And what did you decide on?

(Y/N): Nothing concrete yet. I originally thought about taking after my dad and becoming a detective. That way I could continue to protect people. Another idea was a doctor, that way I could save lives. But then I thought of something that I felt fit me a bit more.

Soi-Fon: And that is?

(Y/N): A counselor.

Soi-Fon: Someone that helps and in some cases rescues people through words and understanding rather than violence. It fits you well.

(Y/N): Yeah. I'm too trusting to be able to sus out criminals like my dad does, I'm not that much of a medical genius like Captain Unohana and I'm sure not a scientific genius like Mr. Urahara or Wiz. But I think I'm pretty good with words. Maybe it could help someone who's in need.

Soi-Fon: I know all too well how good you are with words... womanizer.

(Y/N): I don't like these accusations.

Soi-Fon simply chuckled.

Soi-Fon: Well I believe you'll be a great counselor.

(Y/N): I hope so...

Soi-Fon: That didn't sound like confidence.

(Y/N): Well let's just say I feel as though I already have my first patient.

Soi-Fon: Are you referring to Ichigo?

(Y/N) nodded.

Soi-Fon: Let me ask you this, (Y/N). Why do you feel responsible for Ichigo's condition?

(Y/N): Huh?

Soi-Fon: Ichigo did what he did because he believed that was the right thing to do.

(Y/N): He did what he did because he believed it was "the only thing" he could do. If he had the choice he wouldn't have given up his powers.

Soi-Fon: And what do you believe you can do now that he's lost his powers?

(Y/N): Well, just between you and me. Me, Rukia and Urahara wanted to create something that could potentially give Ichigo his powers back. An object that could store spiritual energy and transfer it to something or someone without it. We want to get permission from the Head Captain to allow us to use it to give Ichigo his powers back. Unfortunately, at the stage we're at now, I'm not really of help.

Soi-Fon gave (Y/N) a stern look.

Soi-Fon: You've said it yourself, you're not a scientific genius like Kisuke. That doesn't mean you're unless. If what you said is true, you simply have to wait until it's time to do your part. And besides, you know Ichigo better than anyone. If anyone knows how he thinks, it's you. So if you think he's beating himself up over anything, be there to reassure him.

(Y/N) was surprised at the sudden words of advice and encouragement from Soi-Fon, but those were words he needed to hear.

(Y/N): Thanks Soi-Fon... I needed to hear that.

Soi-Fon: Don't thank me, I'm just saying what I think.

(Y/N) looked over his shoulder again.

(Y/N): *thinking* Do they really think I don't know they're here?

(Y/N) knew his sisters and friends had been following him. Originally, he gave his friends the benefit of the doubt that the original plan was to go rollerskating. But the moment he saw them in their terrible disguises he knew they were up to no good. And he knew (S/N) was going to follow him no matter what. Poor Calavera. (S/N) must've dragged her along.

(Y/N) looked the group directly in the eyes and just mouthed the words "What are you doing?"

(Y/N)'s friends immediately scattered now that they've been spotted. (Y/N) turned to (S/N) and Calavera and did the same thing, however (S/N) simply mouth back "Don't act suspicious"

(Y/N): *thinking* She's the one acting suspicious! *sighs* I shouldn't have expected her to take the hint...

(Y/N): Hey, about a few more minutes of skating before we leave and get some food?

Soi-Fon: That's fine by me.

(Timeskip)

After leaving the skating rink, (Y/N) and Soi-Fon went to get food, just as planned. (Y/N) decided that because of Soul Society's lack of unique dishes he'd show her something he's never eaten before.

Soi-Fon: I'm confused. Why is it called a 'hamburger" if it's made out of beef?

(Y/N): I... honestly don't know.

Okay, so it's not really a unique dish for (Y/N) but hey! Soi-Fon's never tried it so (Y/N) was on the right track. And of course, (Y/N) had to get some dessert.

(Y/N): Alright there's ice cream, cookies and cakes. Pick your poison... There isn't actually any poison-

Soi-Fon: I know it's a figure of speech.

(Y/N) and Soi-Fon were walking back to Urahara Shop. It was the safest place to open the Senkaimon. You never know what random civilian can find themselves on the other end. You can never be too safe. And besides, it gave (Y/N) and Soi-Fon more time to talk. At this point, (S/N) and Calavera had stopped trailing the two so at the very least they had some privacy after everything was said and done.

Soi-Fon: I had fun... Thanks.

(Y/N): No problem. I'm glad I was able to provide some entertainment.

Soi-Fon: Maybe we can do this again sometime.

(Y/N): Huh?

This practically meant he had already locked in another date.

(Y/N): Y-yeah we should. Maybe a bowling alley would be great. Or maybe Karoke... although I'm a lousy singer. But I guess that's what makes it fun. But then there's also-

(Y/N) stopped mid sentence when he felt a kiss on his cheek. During his rambling, (Y/N) failed to notice they already made it in front of Urahara Shop.

Soi-Fon: Well, I leave it to you to figure it out.

(Y/N) was left stunned.

(Y/N): R-right...

Soi-Fon: I'll see you later, okay?

(Y/N): Y-Y-yeah... I'll- uh... I'll see you later.

Soi-Fon walked inside of Urahara shop leaving (Y/N) a stuttering mess.
