A new Arc in the story has begun we will be seeing the JSDF. Theme for the intro of the new arc in the story above.
"We need to play our cards right. We can't risk a war with a power on the same technological level as us." Koichiro Hazama Commander of the JSDF to the prime minister in a report.
Falmart. Special region. December 29th. 2014 Japan time.
An adventure was what Itami could describe his ordeal as. A gate had opened in Ginza Tokyo when he was heading to get his sweet sweet manga and it ruined it but it didn't matter anymore he was in a fantasy land wind a blue haired and frankly powerful mage, a hot blond elf, and a gothic Lolita girl.
He was in one of his manga. It was like a dream. They had even taken down a dragon. They were heroes.
Lelei had said that they could sell the dragon scales for a fair amount of profit. Itami and his recon team didn't mind adding some more money to their paychecks so they went with the plan.
Their Humvees were rolling towards the city. The walls had been partially damaged and soon enough a Redhead knight on the walls yelled down "State your business."
Falmart. On the road to Italica. December 29th. 1 AEE.
I watched as our convoy began to make its way to Italica. Our sleazy drones had kept an eye on the JSDF who had made it to Italica first.
The weather was fucking awful. It had begun to snow and the roads to Italica were shit. Several of our Humvees got stuck in the rapidly piling snow and we had to dig them out. If things kept up at this rate we would arrive at Italica by nightfall when it would be attacked by those bandits.
Looks like this diplomatic mission turned into a cleanup operation.
I kept constant taps on what the drone operators were seeing so I could have a good idea on how to conduct negotiations. I honestly wanted to see what kind of people were the humans from the other side of the gate and if they were like my people.
Based on the updates I got they were fraternizing with the locals and were trying to sell what seemed like dragon scales. Those things were worth a lot based on what intelligence had told me which made me wonder if they were selling the scales just to make extra money or if they were pay shit by their superiors.
"So if things go bad can we resort to using forceful means." Asked the official from the pentagram. "Well things won't go bad unless one of them or one of us fucks up so make sure non of you fuck up." I said coldly to the representatives and soldiers in the transport trucks and Humvees.
"Italica is in sight, gentlemen's and there's a shit load of gunfire and screaming bandits coming from it" joked the driver in the lead Humvees through the radio. "Should we wait for air support so the pentagram can just douse the attackers in the fear toxin and give them mental trauma or do you boys wanna go shoot some bandits." I asked our men through the radio.
The response was a collective "Lets fuck them up." I chuckled. "Ok get on 50 cals and get ready to disembark." I said on the radio.
Things were about to get fun real fast.
Falmart. Italica. December 29th.665 imperial time.
Pina quickly dodge the blade of one of the bandits who had manage to make it on the wall. She quickly dispatched the man by slicing his chest open and then kicking him off the walls. The battle hadn't been going well at all for her forces.
Her rose order while well trained were few compared to most pf the defenders who comprised civilian militia. The battle was growing desperate. She had expected an attack on the south wall which is why she had sent the men in green to defend it however the east wall was the place where the main bandit attack struck.
Her miscalculation proved costly and now the east gate had been breach Norma she watched was flung from the walls after being repeatedly stabbed. Then loud bang sounds where heard the bandits who were still climbing the walls began to fall she looked down and saw several of those Horseless carriages moving at full speed towards the city their black rides mowing down the bandit by the hundreds.
They were like the ones of the men in green who called them selfs the JSDF but were either tan or a light blue color. The Bandits in the city were being killed off by Rory the apostle of Emory and a woman from the JSDF fighting alongside her.
The Bandit assault began to collapse and then those metal Pegasus arrived bringing ruin to the Bandits. Oh how her empire was truly weak in comparison to the men in green and these new men in blue.
Pina knew that while the men in green had shown themselves to be a peaceful the men in blue were the opposite. She had heard horror stories from survivors of one of the hills that was not too far away from her city.
Those survivors told of savages who while having similar weapons as the men in green unlike the men in green who seemed to prefer to keep a distance when fighting the men in blue weren't afraid to get close and personal. They had beaten back her brother army of 80,000 in a battle far more bloodier than Alnus.
While the death toll was much lower the battle for that hill had left deeper scars among the survivors than the survivors at Alnus.
At Least you knew that the men in green who called themselves the JSDF didn't prefer to fight up close and personal with you and would rather fall back on these men. They would beat you to death with something as simple as a shovel.
Even Rory had a fear of them she had said that she felt a cursed energy coming from the lands those men occupied.
Those men had just appeared one day that simple and only expand from there on what rumors told. Either way she was fearful of what they would do to Italica.
May Emory save us.
Falmart. Italica. December 29th. 1 AEE.
I saw as the Corbas went around killing off the bandits I'm surprised the JSDFs air power got here so quickly but either way it was time for me to play the diplomatic game and befriend the JSDF for now. Of course the JSDF would have to earn him and his soldiers respect.
I had forgotten to shave and I had a beard but I think that worked in looking more experienced.
Several JSDF soldiers began to aim their guns armies and one man who looked to be in his early 30s spoke. "I am Lt Itami I'm glad for your aid in this battle but state your name and intentions. Italica is under the protection of the JSDF." He spoke sharply but I could see fear under his eyes.
I knew easily what a man afraid looked like. I had gained this ability per se through experience. They were afraid. Afraid that another force has the same tech if not more advanced tech than them.
"My name is Director and commander Mathew Clark of the Global Occult Coalition. With me are some of my men and men of the Organization for the recovery of Islamic artifacts or ORIA for short. Members of the organization the Pentagram. And finally members of the unusual incidents unit or UIU for short." I spoke sharply and without fear. Itami was surprised by my fluent Japanese. It was thanks to me spending two nights without sleep trying to learn it.
"What are your intentions? You haven't answered that." Spoke Itami. "We simply want to begin diplomatic talks with the government. I'm sure the princess hasn't informed you that we were also attacked by the empire." I said, smirking as I pointed at Pina. I lied about the diplomatic talks we had come to scout out the city and talk to the JSDF really but I didn't want them to know that we had been spying on them.
Itami shot a glare at Pina who seemed to be recoiling in fear. "Now we were originally going to conquer the city but seeing that we unexpectedly ran into another force like us that got here first in good faith the city is yours. But we will ask the princess to be so kind and inform her father that we are willing to seek out a peace settlement to our war. I'm sure you want a similar thing to Lt Itami." I said calmly.
Honestly I didn't want peace neither did the pentagram and the UIU I didn't know about ORIA but for now I'd keep a willing to discuss and end to the war attitude until we got ahold of Zorzal who was about to lead what remain of his army and the army under Herm Mao that he had linked up with into the trap I had set up at Dien Bien Phu. Once we captured the prince I wanted to torment him a bit.
I was impressed at how hard Itami and the other members of the JSDF were at hiding their fear well except for the woman in the JSDF who seemed to be unfazed. The elf in the group was looking at us curiously but afraid and the blue haired mage was looking at us fascinatingly. Reminded me of when Uriel was so curious about our tech. Good times before they went to shit.
"Yes we do want to bring an end to the war as well. We're people cork from anyways." Itsmi asked to which I responded with a swift "that's classified." To which he eyed me with suspicion but soon enough threw it away.
"Very well, I hope we can continue to cooperate in the future. I'll inform my superiors about you." He said. "Are we allowed to enter the city by the way?" I asked. Itami seemed to go into a discussion with his men and the one woman under his command.
I could sense that the woman who I later learned was named Shino Kuribayashi had a deep distrust of us, which is good that she was smart. "We will as long as no harm comes to the-." I cut Itami off as he spoke. "What do you think we are? The empire" I joked light heartedly as an attempt to establish trust. Itami and his comrades chuckled at this and the princess' nervousness only increased at her people being called out for their shit.
"Ok sounds good you can enter I'm sure my superiors would be fine with you entering for diplomatic purposes." Itami said. This was my first sight at Itami being a general idiot. No one would be fine with an unknown force entering a city without enough info on them. Unless the JSDF general was brain dead he knew Itami would probably be stripped of his rank for overstepping his authority here.
To further this was the fact that Itami hadn't really questioned what me and my fellow organizations stood for or tried to probe for more info on us. He clearly lacks experience.
"Alright common, let's move into the city." I said on the radio to our Humvees.
Falmart. Italica. December 29th. 1 AEE.
Ahmed looked at the city as his Humvee entered it. It would have been prettier had it not been battered by the bandit attacks. He was one of the members of ORIA who had the honor of coming with the big man himself Clark to establish first contact with the JSDF.
He hoped to find some ancient relics in the city so he could inform high commands so they could pull off an operation to steal and then study them though that was unlikely.
He and his comrades in the GOC, UIU, and pentagram soon disembarked and Clark allowed them to go around doing sightseeing and to fraternize with the JSDF soldiers.
The JSDF soldier had begun to rapidly begin to lose respect among his men; the woman seemed to be hit headed and a bitch. Their leader of this JSDF recon team had some kind of Haram with half of it being made up of minors.
Ahmed didn't care what he said that was a Haram straight up. A violation of the wills of Allah.
The members of the Harem were questionable in their own right except the minor who he wished he could get out of what he deemed a toxic environment. The fake child (What ORIA agents call Lolis.) was clearly just trying to fuck Itami without his consent.
Shameful behavior for a supposed apostle of the gods of this world. Allah would have banished her to hell for such behavior.
The Elf was weird as she called Itami father repeatedly, something which Ahmed couldn't tell was sexual or just a coping mechanism for some trauma she might have endured.
The minor in the group while lacking emotion was the most normal of the Harem. He would find a way to get her out of the Harem when he could to save her from those denigrates.
Most of the men from the JSDF he could also tell were just here to get girlfriends. We're the retribution in their eyes. Simply, they didn't care that people from their country had died or been enslaved by those rapist imperial pigs. They wanted pussy. Well that's what he believed.
The JSDF were nothing but a bunch of horny freaks and the sooner they were dealt with the better.
Falmart. Tavern in Italica.
Pina, Hamilton, and Grey found themselves in the city's tavern Pina felt depressed. She had begun to drink and try to wash her sorrows away. The men in blue were in the city along with their allies. Italica was doomed, it was that simple.
She however hoped that they would keep their promise and leave the city in control of the JSDF. The JSDF were far nicer and got along with the locals more. Most of the men from the organizations kept a fair distance from both JSDF soldiers and the people of the city, preferring to talk among themselves. There was a strange semblance of brotherhood among the soldiers of the various organizations.
"The empire is doomed simply enough. This truly is the empire's darkest time." She said to her companions. "Do say that princess the empire has plenty of man-." Said Hamilton before she was cut off by Pina. "Manpower or not it won't do anything against their weapons. Name a more darker time in the empire's history than what is unfolding here."
"The Arctic war." Grey responded abruptly. "How." She asked dumb founded.
"Because at least these soldiers have some resemblance of mercy even those men from their cursed organizations have some mercy on our civilians and want peace. The Arctic tribe when we tried to conquer them we were winning. Our legions were storming forward and we defeated their armies in a year. We were at the gates of their capital until he showed up." Grey said darkly
"You can seriously believe the legend of-." Hamilton was about to say a name so cursed Grey silenced her.
"Yes my father fought in that war. Your Grandfather died at the hands of that man Pina. That man brought the empire to such ruin and led an uprising so bloody that the gods themselves had to come down to stop him. Had it not been for the Gods the Arctic tribe, the slaves, and Him would have destroyed the empire. Just 1 man did as much damage as the JSDF." Grey said Darkly.
"You have to be joking here. I doubt this man could do as much as us." Said Itami who had been briefly staring at the Demi human Girls before joining them to join him with his odd companions.
"I am not. Let me tell you the legend or more like a true story of the man that brought Sadera to its knees." Said Grey.
