"We sang often because we believed that our voices and that of the emperor would always be louder than the screams of the dying." An unknown slave during the fall of Armageddon.

Falmart. Alnus hill. January 2nd. 2014.

General Hazama went over the latest report on the rebellion. Things were not seeming good for the empire. They had extracted Molt and the Jade palace was currently under siege. The men Paradropped had secured some streets in the capital mostly in the imperial district and no hostilities had happened between them and the rebels who were more than happy to allow them in the city as long as they didn't attack.

Hazama knew something had to change. He had given the go ahead for another wave of paratroopers. The plan was simple: they would ask the rebels to surrender their weapons and allow the JSDF to run operations from here on out. Thus, they could begin reforming the empire.

Even if the rebels said no they were still badly armed and had medieval swords and shields and whatnot it wouldn't do much against his forces.

He had also received word of a coup against the leader of the GOC and decided to halt the organization's leaders from their visit on the 14th until their infighting stopped.

He didn't want to risk any form of political incident that could drag the JSDF into another war in Falmart.

Now Hazama, while not wanting to drag the JSDF into another war, personally supported the Coup that promised to reform most of the organizations and get rid of the man in charge of the GOC. If he could he would have tried to pull some strings and get a JSDF commando unit to help in the Coup but he sadly couldn't.

Well maybe he could do something about it. The JSDF could as it was currently trying to stop the organizations from spreading their influence.

It may be possible to actually force the GOC after they capture Zorzal and when the Coup goes into effect hand him over to the JSDF using gunboat diplomacy by sending several units of tanks to the existing border between the empire and the organizations and making demands.

The GOC would already be weakened by the coup and would be forced to hand this key chip in their path to influence. Hazama wasn't sure how things were with Molt and his son but if the GOC got their hands on him they could use him as a hostage to make demands and force Molt into possibly bankrupting the already weakened empire to get his son back or allowing the rebel groups to have some power in the empire destabilizing it.

The last thing Hazama wanted was for Falmart to turn into Afghanistan. He and the organizations were playing a game of chess while he was trying to establish some sense of order. The organizations were actively sabotaging each other and trying to both establish order but also destabilize the only force of order in Falmart which was the empire.

He also needed to get a hold of the gate that they came from. Maybe cut them off from their home-world so he could threaten them and force them to stop their madness (Hazama lacks the knowledge that they escaped their earth because of scp 5000).

But now looking back at what he just thought he relieved how stupid it would have been to try to attack their gate. He had some sense that they had superior numbers than the JSDF and they mostly had what seemed Russian and American weaponry with some weapons from other countries sprinkled in. Their guns were modern rifles while the JSDF was still armed with weapons from the 80s.

His forces would be outgunned and outclassed if he tried to pull this stunt so it was a stupid to even try to pull off what he was planning.

Sigh. For now he would try his luck at disarming the rebels and reforming the empire. If that didn't work gunboat diplomacy it is.

Falmart. Imperial palace. January 2nd. 666 imperial calendar.

Nicophorus walked down the halls of what once was the imperial palace. His forces had taken it rather easily and Molt was nowhere to be found while he was disappointed he had a hunch that the green men had taken him and as long as they were making him suffer it was fine in his book.

Just outside the imperial palace the temple of Emory was being sacked and burned as his men chanted "Death to the false gods!".

So far things with the men in green who called them self the JSDF had been going good. They were providing humanitarian aid to the civilians however they had reached a point of disagreement when it came to handing over their weapons.

He had no intention for the empire to be replaced by a new oppressing force and he and his men and women in their army wouldn't have over the weapons they used to purge the heretic scum.

"General look what we have." Said one of his men as they dragged one of the king's sons, Diablo, out of a room. "How did the heretic get under our noses for so long." Nicophorus asked annoyed.

"Don't know sir, maybe because we were too busy purging the other members of the nobility that we simply forgot to check this room." Said the man as he pointed at Diablo who was looking up at them fearfully. "Want us to kill the scum." The man asked as he taped Diablo's chest lightly with his sword.

"Why not hand him over to the men in green. They seem to be interested in keeping the nobility to probably punish them for their vileness plus I don't want to spill more blood in the imperial palace since it's going to be a pain to get rid of all the bodies out there." Nicophorus said as he pointed at the bodies of dead nobility and guards in the nearby hall.

"I see. I guess it's also fair we should also allow the men in green to punish the Xenos and heretical scum." The man said as he played around with his sword. Specifically a golden sword that he probably stole from the imperial treasury.

"Sir we've found it." Said another former slave running in. 4 others carried over a large painting. Nicophorus looked at the painting in Awe. "It's beautiful." He said.

The painting in question was painted by Anzols Chappell, a slave who was very well known for being an artist during the Arctic war and had made a plethora of art pieces that displayed moments of the war. Sadly almost all of his works were destroyed or burned during the fall of Armageddon. He was also burned at the stake when he captured during the battle of macragg.

His only surviving works, which of course was stolen by the heretical empire, showed the moment Yarrick decapitated Molt's father's horse and slashed him through the stomach, knocking him off his horse before he was killed.

It truly was a beautiful painting.

"Keep the painting safe. Also take the heretical filth out of my sight." He gestured at Diablo who was dragged away.

Nicophorus continued to walk along the palace after that admiring its architecture. While it was made by a bunch of heretical false god worshippers they did have a knack in design when it came to fanciness of course he doubted it would compare to the glorious palace of the emperor of man that Yarrick has mentioned several times when telling tales of where he came from.

Also it lacked the clear defensive superiority of the many castles built into the city of Armageddon when it was the beacon of resistance against the gods themselves.

One thing that bugged Nicophorus a lot was that the king's son Zorzal was off campaigning somewhere. That man had repeatedly raped the female slaves and must have been some cursed offspring of the god of excess Slaanesh.

Yarrick when he was still alive had warned the slaves of these four so called Chaos gods Khorne, Tzeencth, Nurgle, and Slaanesh who corrupted mortals with their vile and heretical ways and to not fall victims to their lies and deceit.

In fact he wouldn't be surprised if any of the false gods or nobility of the empire worshiped the gods of chaos. More of the reason to purge the land of their chaos tainted Filth.

Nicophorus was actually surprised at how rapidly imperial resistance collapsed other than those stubborn rose knights holding up in their Jade palace of theirs.

If only that Palace didn't have that damn iron gate they would have stormed in and mopped up the rose order. Not only that the men in green wanted them to stop sieging the palace so they could get ahold of the order for themselves which was fine in his book as long as they purged the filth but some of the slaves of course wanted a punch at them so that created difficulties.

Well either way the rising was pretty much over and now the truth of the god emperor would spread once again across Falmart.

The remains of the imperial army would be purged and crushed and the slaves would be liberated.

Falmart. Dien Bien Phu. January 3rd 1 AEE.

Trang Minh the general of the Vietnamese branch of the GOC carefully watched from a hidden bunker on the forested mountains of the valleys from his binoculars as Zorzal and herms army began to enter the town and valley of Dien Bien Phu. They numbered around 45,000 strong according to intelligence.

But even if they were 100,000 strong they had just walked into the trap. As the imperials began to loot the town Trang Minh got on the radio and said.

"All artillery batteries open fire."

This was a short chapter once again I'm sorry I'm dealing with a lot of other things in my personal life but I'll work on making chapters longer when I have the time.
