"Justice comes for everyone no matter what you do." Rorschach from the book the watchmen.

Falmart. Above Paradise Valley. 7 am January 15th. 2 AEE.

"So we know he's heading now." Said the engineer as he cleaned his Smith and Wessons pistol's silencer.

"Yes sir, one of our stealth drones spotted him heading for the western mountains." Said the pilot of the helicopter as his co-pilot made a gesture at the western mountains of Paradise valley.

Clark was a slippery fish the Engineer had to admit. He made a fool of the GOIs 3 times during their manhunt for him. But now they had him where they wanted. To the engineers' delight the weather was clear and sunny meaning if Clark tried to cross the mountains he would be in full aerial view of any drones and helicopter on patrol.

Clark could run around the valley hiding for maybe a couple of days but his days were numbered. Now what exactly to do with him when he got his hands on the villain.

He could flat out execute Clark personally or by firing squads. But then again they could just lock him up for the rest of his life. Choices, choices.

Either way they were converging on Clark's current location. He readied his gear. He had now made up his mind that Clark would die by his hands. He readied his rifle, his pistol, attached a silencer to the rifle and pistol, and finally put on his heat vision goggles.

"Alright sir, good luck don't die." Joked one of the pilots. "My friend. Dying is not a choice for me." Said the Engineer as he saluted the pilots before repelling down into the forest via helicopter rope.

His feet first touched the ground with a crunch as they hit the snow. He got out his modified AK and turned on his heat vision goggles. To cover his face he wore a balaclava instead of his typical gas mask.

He was sure his helmet would easily deflect any regular rounds Clark had. But reports had stated he had a disintegrator on him so if Clark got him with that anywhere he was as good as dead.

Clark having an anomalous weapon on him made this hunt harder. He could have sent a whole spec ops squad to hunt down Clark but he decided to gamble his life in doing this personally. But let's focus on the good things the Engineer told himself.

The GOC had been reformed quite easily into what it used to be. An organizations whose overall goal was the survival of humanity not breaking its enemies.

He trudged through the cold snow. He could feel his breath freezing up as he breath in and out to calm himself. This would be a battle to pure skill. Clair had the advantage in terms of weaponry but it all came down to skill really.

If Clark had the better primary he could make up for it in skill. Well that's what the Engineer hoped. Clark was a beast in terms of brute force. He had heard of his melee prowess in the battle of New Portland and how much the warrior bunnies were utterly terrified of him for this reason.

Clark was also arguably much more muscular than the Engineer. The Engineer admitted he wasn't necessarily built. He had agility and technique but he was built no. Clark was also in his prime years he was in his twenties; the engineer was 33 and was about to turn 34.

Either way he would kill Clark. He had to.

I had ran through the snow all night until I collapsed and fell asleep at like 2 am. I found myself waking up to a clear bright sky. "No! No! No! No!" I yelled out-loud.

I needed the weather to be crappy so it would be harder to spot me when I went up the mountains tomorrow. It didn't seem like it snowed any more and it was a clear sunny day the one time I didn't want it to be.

I sighed. I would still head to the western mountains since they were my only hope of escape. If I stayed longer the mountains would be fully blocked off. I'm sure the northern ones were already blocked off after my little skirmish with some GRU P members.

I continued my walk through the 3 foot snow. The forest was peaceful and rather eerily quiet during winter.

Just as I thought this I heard a helicopter fly overhead. I saw it fly off until it was just a dot. But it seemed to have stopped briefly for some reason before heading off after 5 minutes or so. Strange.

I continued my walk until I realized. What if one of the GOIs was deploying a squad to clear this area of the woods. Did they already know I was heading for the western mountains? Was it possible they knew I was in the area?

I began to briefly panic but I calmed myself. Panic wouldn't do me any good. Let's say my fears were true. I could probably take on a max of 6 guys in a fire fight before it would be too much but then again I had given that GRU P Platoon of 18 men quite the bloody nose so maybe I could take on more.

I could only hope they didn't have some anomalous weapons or gear that would make my escape a living hell.

As I continued my now quick jog I had the eerie feeling I was being followed. Trusting my gut I whirled around aiming my disintegrator at any that moved. I saw some movement. I fired my disintegrator towards the movement as I missed the movement and my round disintegrated a tree.

Then there was just silence. Maybe I was just being too paranoid but then a burst of gunfire erupted from an unknown position. I dove for cover behind a tree as the gunfire continued for a good 7 seconds before it stopped.

Somehow whoever was hunting me knew my position. Then it hit me.

Fucking heat vision.

Falmart. Forests near the western mountains. 7:32 am. January 15th. 2 AEE.

The engineer rapidly fired at Clark before stopping briefly. Clark was hidden behind a small tree. "You can't hide from me bitch." Said the engineer under his breath as he poked his head out and fired more shots at Clark.

He saw the man scamper for better cover as he was fired upon. Clark suddenly began to rapidly fire his disintegrator towards his general direction causing the Engineer to now dive for cover as the tree he was behind was disintegrated along with several patches of snow.

The engineer lay flat on his stomach as the rounds for the disintegrator flew Juno above him till there was a stop. He wiped his heat vision goggles to get the snow off them as saw through the goggles Clark scanned the area.

Taking his chance the engineer sprung up and fired away at him hitting Clark in the stomach twice as the man dropped his gun and fired his secondary pistol. Out of pure bad luck one of the stray bullets fired from Clark's pistol hit him straight in the thigh wounding the engineer badly.

"I'm still alive you fucking amateur." Said the engineer in pain and Clark responded with the typical. "Fuck You!"

The Engineer reached to grab his AK which he had dropped when he was hit but his left hand was shot by Clark welding his secondary. He grunted in pain as the bullet went straight through his left hand.

"One more move and you're dead.":said Clark approaching him with his pistol in one hand as he limped forward with his other hand covering his stomach wound. "You really thought you could fucking take me on alone. I find it rather funny though admirable that you'd make this fight a fair one by hunting me down on your own." Clark said with some hint of respect in his voice as he aimed his pistol at the Engineer's head.

The Engineer, while a bit flattered by Clark's respect for him knew that he wasn't going to die getting shot in the head like a dog so he swiftly grabbed his Columbia River CRKT Folts neck knife and swiftly stabbed the unsuspecting Clark in the side repeatedly.

Clark screamed in pain before kicking him off and trying to fire at him with a pistol but the engineer with much pain due to his rapidly bleeding leg tackled him. Clark pulled out a fox blade Karambits knife and slashed the engineer's chin badly.

He then delivered 4 swift punches to the engineer's stomach, tossing him back. The engineer at this point had accepted that both were dead men. Clark was getting progressively weaker due to his stomach wounds and was bleeding out but the Engineer's thigh wound was little better and if they kept it up he would end up bleeding to death if a medical helicopter didn't arrive in time if he managed to get one of his flares up.

"Y-you.....g-got...me....g-g-good." Said Clark weakly as he was weakly picking up his pistol and trying to aim it at the engineer.

He couldn't; it was at that point Clark's strength seemingly failed him. He collapsed on the floor. The engineer weakly picked up his radio and said. "For God and Humanity Geronimo, Geronimo Clark has been taken out......I don't think I can last a-any.....longer..." After saying these words the engineer also collapsed from blood loss.

"Sir are you still there! Sir!" He heard on the radio for one last time as all noises around him faded away. It didn't matter though Clark was dead and he had completed the mission.

His world then gently faded away into blackness.

I decided that I'd let all your creativeness flow by denying you guys from seeing Clark's death from his own perspective but by the prospective of one of the antagonist. What did you guys think Clark was thinking in his final moments.

While Clair's story may be over and his role as the stories MC is over while his story ends Ulysses's now story now begins.

This is the final chapter of this story but expect the epilogue to come out tomorrow.
