Here's some sabaton to listen to while you read this chapter. The song also fits the MC.

Falmart. Paradise city. 1 AEE.

"It is with great sadness that I proclaim that our first contact with the people of this world is hostile. The settlement of New Portland was burned to ash and we lost 48 men, women, and children in the slaughter. The Battle of New Portland as it might be called wasn't a battle, it was an unprovoked assault by people who we now know call themselves the warrior bunnies. We will not let this attack go unanswered. We haven't just escaped hell only to get pushed around again by some other threat. This time humanity will have victory. With great humility I declare the GOC, Chaos insurgency, and the church of the broken god to be in an active state of war with the warrior bunnies. Long live god and humanity ." Said the engineer finishing his speech while Mathew's Clark , who was now wearing an eyepatch and Robert Bumaro stood next to him.

The crowd erupted into cheers and chanted "Long live god and humanity." All 2 million members of the remnants of humanity had gathered to hear his speech and they chanted and cheered.

Two weeks after their escape from Ganzir they were at war again. The engineer sighed as he walked off the Podium with Clark and Robert. They were cheered on by the crowds. By this point a semi dictatorship had begun. He, Clark, and Robert had become the unofficial leaders of humanity and it seemed it would stay that way.

Clark had incorporated the last of earth's remaining soldiers from different countries' armed forces into the GOC swelling their numbers. The church had rapidly gain support from farmers for them using their tech to assist in agriculture . His insurgency on their part had integrated the remaining members of the Taliban, Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terrorist groups into the insurgency.

As they let the cheering crowds behind they walked into the headquarters of the 3 organizations. Humanity was to go on the offensive; they had already sent out several prob drones out make by the church to go scout out the landscape and the warrior bunnies villages.

"Gentlemen, I suppose the plan for the invasion is clear as we discussed 2 days ago." The engineer spoke.

"Yes. The 7th Tank company will blitzkrieg through warrior bunny territory and make a beeline for the capital. The Church will capture several small villages along the border and has been given free rein to use the clock worth's virus if heavy resistance is encountered. I expect your agents have already entrench themselves in the local population and are ready to begin assassinations." Clark spoke calmly.

"Yes, our agents using those weird mascot suits that allow you to shape-shift lended by wondertainment helped in infiltrating the capital along with our anomalous teleporters." The engineer said. "The GOC I assume has finished construction on the 2 F22 raptors." Robert spoke."

"Yes the raptors will participate in operation blackout." Clark said. "As planned they will begin bombing runs on the capital and other major settlements as stated in the plan." Clark said.

"Looks like we'll have those bitches on the ropes then." Said the engineer eagerly. "Yup those rabbits are screwed to put it lightly." Said Robert. "So what is to happen to them once we have crushed them." Clark asked.

"First their queen will be deposed. All responsible for the burning of New Portland will have a public hanging. Finally all of the rabbit territory will be annexed by us and its people will be given basic citizenship, protection, and rights." Said the engineer sharply. "They will also have freedom of religion so I don't want any forced conversions by the church." The Engineer said eying Robert. "Yes don't worry the church has changed I can promise you that." Robert said in a lackluster tone.

"Now one thing I'd like to add. Our soldiers will be encouraged to bring back war brides. Humanity needs to increase its population by whatever means." The engineer added. "What" yelled Clark. "You want our soldiers to fuck those fuckers who killed all those people at Portland." He said, outraged. "We must do what we can to solidify ourselves in this new world. While it is beautiful it has shown itself to be hostile to outsiders like us. We can't sustain heavy losses so we must grow our population so we can have the numbers for future conflicts." The engineer said calmly. Clark shot him an angry glare.

Clarks reaction was understandable; he had seen his remaining friends be killed off by the bunnies, lost his eye to them, and watched Portland burn. He couldn't help but pity Clark. He arguably lost the most out of the 3 leaders and has been thrusted into his position just because he was the last high ranking member of the GOC left when what remained of them escaped through the gate and that wasn't speaking much. He was a LT when he was thrown into his role as the organization's new leader but he had risen to the challenge somehow.

"I guess it not worth it fighting with you guys." Clark said, sighing. "I'm equally as shocked as you brother. I can't see how any of our soldiers would find those horrid rabbits enticing." Said Robert as he rubbed his metal chin.

"Those Japanese weebs will probably be hitting on the bunnies though." Said the Engineer joking.

"Haha very funny." Said Clark sarcastically. "No they fucking won't there is point where you've been through so much shit you lose the will to be horny and it's all about survival. Will this become another Ganzir is on every citizen under our protection right nows minds." Clark continued in a foul mood. "We don't have fucking time for shits and giggles I saw a kid fucking die infront of me. I saw enough of that at Ganzir and I don't want to relive seeing that. We need to be serious we can joke about this when we know those rabbits have been put down for good." Clark rambled.

"Ok sorry, sorry." The engineer said. Clark sighed. "Sorry for losing my temper." Clark said before taking a cigarette and lighting it. "I didn't know you started smoking." Said Robert. "Didn't until Ganzir and Portland." Clark said.

Falmart. Clarks apartment. 1 AEE.

I kept seeing the same thing in my dreams. Ganzir burning and sinking and that kid being littered with arrows before he could reach the school. Over and over again. I wanted it to fucking stop. I woke up sweating. "Jesus I need a fucking coffee." I said to myself.

Fireworks were going off in the night in remembrance to the victims at Portland. I looked out into the city from the balcony. The fireworks were beautiful. I saw flashes of Ganzir burning but I did my best to ignore them. I couldn't Ignore the visions of the kid dying though. He was just 13 or so and the bunnies just litter him with fucking arrows.

Why? Fucking why. What did we fucking do to them. Were they just like the foundation who attacked humanity out of the blue for no apparent reason.

Why did the foundation attack? Why did Ganzir have to fall? Why did all my friends have to die? Why did the rabbits attack? Why did New Portland have to burn? Why Did the rabbits kill off kids? Why couldn't we live in peace? All these questions floated around my hand. The word "Why" fits so well with this Scenario.

All my life I've played soldier, the fool, been used, fought horrors beyond comprehension with my comrades here I am alive and somehow the leader of the GOC. I cried a bit. Now we were in another goddam war. I hope one day god sees my efforts and my pain and shows me everything I've gone through hasn't been in vain.

I walked back inside. My apartment was pretty blank. I had my bed, a desk with my computer on it, a small dinner table, a small kitchen, my bed, and a couch. I really should try to lighten up the blankness of my apartment. Here was the leader of the GOC. The protectors of humanity living in a shitty apartment. Still I remember what Al Fine once said. "The GOC will protect humanity whether it likes it or not." I kinda applied this to myself. I would keep going through life whether I liked it or not.

I just hope one day god sees my efforts and my pain and shows me everything I've gone through hasn't been in vain.

Falmart. Warrior bunny capital. 665 imperial calendar.

Queen Tyuule had received word that some of her warriors had attacked the newcomers. She didn't fly into rage, she didn't sob, she just looked on blankly. She accepted her fate. They would be fighting a two front war. Based on what little they knew about the newcomers, surrendering to them was far better than giving into Sadera.

They didn't seem to have slaves so her people at least wouldn't be in shackles. She then heard a roar in the sky. She ran outside and last the guards and saw her people looking up as metal flying beasts fired some spears of light that exploded and destroyed some of the nearby small farms and set fire to the fields.

She already knew this was the work of the newcomers. Whoever had the brilliant idea of attacking the newcomers she would have their head.

She continued to stare out defeated as the metal objects flew away. Her people looked nervous and terrified. Her warriors tried futilely to fire arrows at the metal objects. May Emory save us was all she could think.

Falmart. In the skies. 1 AEE.

"This is striker 1, bombing run successful. The farms have been taken out and fields burned. The capitals source do dodo has been crippled." Said Jackson as he flew his raptor back towards the newly Built Washington airfield (Built to honor Washington DC which was destroyed by the foundation) "Good job striker 1. Prepare for another run once you've landed." Responded with high command.

Jackson landed his raptor on the airfield and watched as several people rushed and loaded more missiles onto his raptor. After loading the missiles in he drove his raptor into position and flew off the runway. His next target was the queen's palace in the capital. He fly once again towards the Capital. After 20 minutes it came into view and he got a lock and fired his missiles into the palace. It burst into flames and collapsed. He saw several rabbits trying to shoot him down with their pathetic arrows.

It was almost sad to see their futile attempts to fight back. Almost. He once again flew back to the airfield to be given directives for another target.

Falmart. Imperial Senate. 665 imperial calendar.

It had become clear to Molt that some unknown force had been crippling the bunnies. This unknown force had done more to the warriors bunnies than his legions could do in 3 years.

The senate was divided between those who wanted to find this unknown force and form an alliance and those who thought that the imperils legions should just sweep through and knock out both the rabbits and the unknown force.

The senate was once again being the idiots they were. Molt knew deep down that whatever was attacking the rabbits wasn't a force to mess with. He needed to maintain and neutral stance. This force could easily betray them in an alliance and could also shred his legions to pieces. He decided to shut up the senate.

"Silence!" He roared. The bickering that the senators had been doing was brought to an end by his yell. "We will maintain neutrality. We will continue the war with the rabbits while also allowing the unknown force to continue weakening the bunnies. We have been at war with the rabbits for 3 years and can't risk further weakening the legions in another war until we are at full strength." He spoke sharply and calmly. The senators nodded their heads slightly.

"But father our legions are the strongest in Falmart this unknown force will be crushed under our-" his idiot son Zorzal attempted to speak up and Molt while usually a patient man was having none of it now. "No! The Sadera will not go to war with the unknown force until we are at full strength. Do you understand? You have achieved nothing in the past 3 years against the rabbits and the unknown force has brought them to their knees in just 3 days. I will not have another war on my hands yet." He said firmly and sharply at Zorzal he pouted and shot him dirty looks.

Molt however knew that his words had been a slap in the face for his son. He had never once publicly humiliated his son but he had been getting spoiled and had started the war over his lair for the queen and he was reminded of his place. The senators looked at the two nervously. "Senate dismissed." Molt simply said. Molt knew that he had to find someone to replace Zorzals as head of the warrior bunny campaign or he would be thrown into another war.

Falmart. Paradise city. 1 AEE.

I had done an overall inspection of my men before operation blackout would go into full effect. I got a chance to head home in the afternoon. The 3 day bombing campaign against the bunnies was over and tomorrow the ground operations would begin. He hoped for a quick end to the war.

I entered the newly built Starbucks which was just a small house with the logo on it. I ordered my coffee. I had struggled with sleep last night and needed this coffee badly.

I had been tempted to start drinking but it would have affected my abilities to lead which I didn't want. So I stuck to coffee. Coffee wasn't the worst thing to be addicted to at least. The city was slowly starting to look like a city.

All the tents were gone, a good chunk of the cabins we had built when we first got here were being converted into proper houses. The church had gotten the internet up somehow. Finally some second story buildings were having an extra floor or two added to them.

A good chunk of Paradise valley or dragon teeth valley as the rabbits called it was still full of forest. The valley was fucking huge and had plenty of room for a city to be built. All these thoughts helped me forget that I had to order antidepressants.

The church had successfully with the GOCs remaining science team began to work on vaccines and medicines for the virus in this new world. We had a minor outbreak of what we are labeling the dry skin virus last week. I don't know the full details but its victims suffer from dry skins, dehydration, and often have cracks form up on the skin causing some bleeding. No one died thankfully but it must have been painful for the victims.

I got to the city's only pharmacy so far and ordered my anti-depressants. It went by smoothly and I walked back home. I entered my apartment which was in one of the few buildings that now had 3 floors and walked up the stairs. I entered the apartment and read over the instructions for the Anti depressants I was supposed to take 2 a day no more no less. Sounded simple enough.

I took my dose for the day and collapsed on my bed. I don't know if these pills will help with my shitty sleep or me going back to Ganzir and that kid but I hope it does. In terms of finding any emotional support I hadn't found any stable source of it.

I still remembered how I had lost my shit in that meeting 3 days ago. I should have defiantly not gone on a rant and yelled but why had the Engineer fucking said that shit about having the rabbits as war brides. Fuck him that's all I say. He was the first out of Ganzir when the portal opened and here he is suggesting these bullshit ways of increasing our population. Coward.

At least the fucking cyborg was more agreeable. Every day was exhausting and shit for me. In this beautiful world with breathtaking landscapes I was at the lowest point of my life somehow.

Yet a little voice in my head was telling me to keep going forward and saying it would be worth it in the end. I truly hope so. I really do.
