I kept crying, clutching his shirt tightly in my palms as he worked on my lips. Finally, with a huge suck, he left my mouth. A thin string of saliva made a thread that still connected our lips...

...

Slowly letting go of the hold on his shirt, I got a little away, and this time, he let me. Removing my seatbelt, he sat correctly. Opening the door, he walked out of the car, and I did the same.

"Finish the classes, Maya. I will be waiting," he said with a smirk while placing his back on the car. I looked at him blankly. With a nod, I turned my head and walked inside the main building without looking back.

I walked without looking up even one time, ignoring the stares of some students who were still outside, and got inside my classroom.

I walked near my desk quietly and picked out my books from my bag. I knew Victor was here too, but I am not in my right mind to even look at him. My insides were crumbling with the storm named Rhys, who was not leaving me.

Why me? What did I do to deserve this? And then, how can he say those words?

Addiction...

The word he has given to his feelings made me tremble. I wanted to cry. I wanted to tell someone. The three lectures went with his thoughts, and the break came.

I didn't move from my seat, but then I heard footsteps. Looking up, I found Victor standing in front of me with a smile. I wanted to shout at him to leave me alone, but the courage never came.

"Yes?" I asked, looking at him blankly.

"Let's go," he said, and I closed my eyes before opening them again. Looking at him softly, I said,

"You go; my friend will come."

He frowned for a second before nodding his head and walked out from there. Looking at his back until it reached the door, I let my gaze stay there, waiting for him to come.

I knew he would.

And he did, placing both his hands in his pockets. He walked inside while whistling. Looking at me, he smirked, and his steps kept coming closer and closer until he reached near my desk.

Lowering his back, he made his face close to mine. My eyes looked into his. I gulped the small amount of saliva, and as I did, his lips were pressed against mine without moving this time. His eyes just stared at mine...

Standing up straight, he left my lips and said, "Let's go." I hummed and placed all my things inside my backpack.

Walking by his side, my eyes remained downcast on the floor. My sweaty palm was in his cold one, holding it tightly.

When we were about to reach the canteen, my eyes roamed around, searching if Victor was here.

"Whom are you looking for, Butterfly?" Rhys suddenly said, and with a jerk, he pulled me near him.

"N...o on..e," I said.

"Maya..." He said my name with a stern voice, with an arched eyebrow, and I knew he wanted the truth. But how could I say that? So, I just lowered my head with a sigh. He pulled me inside the cafeteria with him.

The crowd today was too much. I tried my best to hide behind Rhys, but it wasn't working as Rhys was always the main source of attraction. One by one, students started looking at us, and then I saw him...

Victor, standing in the line to receive food. His gaze was on me, with so many questions. His eyes stared at me.

Until the one who was standing in front of him turned towards him and started speaking something.

I felt myself getting nervous under his gaze. The fear of being exposed for the fault I never did was inside me.

My fingers searched for support and comfort in Rhys' hold. Moving my own fingers, I entangled his hand in mine, and he turned towards me with a questioning gaze.

"Ther..e," I said, pointing at the empty seats, and he nodded his head. Walking towards them, we sat down.

"What do you wanna eat, Butterfly?" he asked, and I said what I wanted.

Rhys' gaze roamed around until it froze in one place, and my body went numb in fear even thinking about it.

Pointing his finger at the line, he said loudly, and the whole canteen shushed like it did when I was the one who was asked to bring food...

My fingers got away from the skin of Rhys. My eyes widened. I bit my lips to control the cry that was about to leave my mouth. Desperately wanting to run, my feet began to tap the ground.

"Stop the fucking noise, Butterfly," Rhys said sternly, and my feet froze there. My toes were still up, and my heels were attached to the ground.

"AND YOU IN THE BLUE T-SHIRT, COME HERE!

... Hey, cuties! 💕

Quick update: the power at my house is currently out, and this update might take me all night and day to finish. I am currently writing it, and my battery is running low—I'm not sure how long it'll last.

Please bear with me, okay? 😊 Just so you know, I'm not the kind of writer who keeps drafts saved up; I write everything in real-time. Also, since it's New Year's Day, I've been a bit busy with some housework. Thank you for your patience and understanding, as always!

And for this patience you will get one more chapters cuties...

Much love,

Selene ✨
