Chapter 14: The Spark of Rebellion
Avni’s Plan
Avni had never liked rules. And she definitely didn’t like how her brothers were suddenly falling in line under Arnav’s rule.
She paced across Aryan’s room, frustration boiling inside her. "We can’t let this happen. If Ayush fully becomes Arnav’s puppet, we’re doomed!"
Aryan, still lounging on his bed, raised an eyebrow. "Doomed how?"
Avni threw up her hands. "Think about it! First, Anirudh controlled us with his stupid discipline. Now Arnav is turning Ayush into some corporate robot. If this continues, they’ll control every part of our lives!"
Aryan sat up, intrigued. "Okay, so what’s your plan?"
Avni smirked. "Simple. We make Ayush fail."
Aryan blinked. "Wait, what?"
"If Ayush messes up big time, Arnav will stop trusting him," Avni explained. "He’ll go back to being the old Ayush, the one who doesn’t care about rules. And once that happens, Arnav’s whole dictatorship will start falling apart."
Aryan whistled. "Damn, you’re evil."
Avni grinned. "Thank you."
Ayush’s Moment of Glory—or Doom?
The next morning, Ayush walked into Arnav’s office, ready for another day of work.
Arnav handed him a file. "We have an important meeting with the Sharma Group at noon. You’ll be handling the presentation."
Ayush’s heart stopped. "Wait—what? I thought I was just helping with reports!"
Arnav leaned back in his chair. "That was your test. You passed. Now it’s time for the real work."
Ayush swallowed. "And if I mess up?"
Arnav’s eyes darkened. "Then you prove you were never worth my trust in the first place."
Ayush felt the pressure settling on his shoulders. This was his moment—his chance to prove to Arnav that he could be responsible.
What he didn’t know… was that Avni and Aryan were about to sabotage him.
The Sabotage
At 11:30 AM, just before the meeting, Ayush’s phone buzzed.
Aryan: Bro, urgent. Come to the parking lot. It’s about Anirudh.
Frowning, Ayush grabbed his phone and rushed out.
As soon as he stepped outside, Aryan and Avni were waiting.
"What’s going on?" Ayush asked.
Avni looked serious. "It’s Anirudh. He got into trouble at court. A huge mess. He needs you."
Ayush’s stomach twisted. "What? But I have the meeting—"
Aryan clapped him on the shoulder. "Bro, this is family. What’s more important? Some corporate nonsense or your own brother?"
Ayush hesitated.
Arnav’s trust—or Anirudh?
His future—or his family?
Avni saw the conflict in his eyes and smirked inwardly. That’s right, Ayush. Choose wrong.
