Chapter 28: The War Begins

A Line in the Sand

The study was filled with tense silence. The news of the fire had shaken the foundation of Oberoi Industries, but it wasn’t just about business—this was personal.

Arnav’s fingers tapped against the desk, his eyes sharp and calculating. "Devraj wants to see how far he can push us. He thinks we’ll break."

Aryan scoffed. "Well, he clearly doesn’t know us."

Ayush, still staring at the phone screen, exhaled. "We can’t just sit here. He’s coming for us one by one."

Ayush turned to him. "What are you thinking?"

Aryan’s grin widened. "If Devraj likes to play dirty… why don’t we find someone who plays dirtier?"

Ayush’s stomach tightened. "You’re talking about—"

Aryan nodded. "Kabir Sharma."

A name that even the underworld feared.

A name that Arnav would never approve of.

Devraj Malhotra leaned back in his chair, watching a security feed. His men had infiltrated another Oberoi property—this time, their legal firm.

A slow smirk formed on his lips.

"Let’s see how long they can keep up."

The next move was his.
