A Risky Alliance
Ayush and Aryan stood outside an abandoned warehouse at the edge of the city. The air was thick with tension. This was a terrible idea—but they had no choice.
Kabir Sharma wasn’t just a criminal. He was the criminal. The kind of man even Devraj Malhotra avoided crossing.
Aryan smirked. "Nervous?"
Ayush exhaled sharply. "No. Just wondering if we’re walking into our own funeral."
Before Aryan could respond, the massive steel doors creaked open. A tall man in a black suit stepped out, his gaze cold.
"Kabir is waiting."
The brothers exchanged a glance before stepping inside.
The Devil’s Offer
Kabir sat behind a wooden desk, a cigarette between his fingers. His piercing gaze swept over them before he smirked.
"Well, well. The Oberoi brothers. To what do I owe this surprise visit?"
Ayush got straight to the point. "We need your help."
Kabir chuckled. "Interesting. Your older brother plays by the rules. I take it he doesn’t know you’re here?"
Aryan grinned. "Let’s just say… he wouldn’t approve."
Kabir leaned forward. "And what exactly do you want from me?"
Ayush hesitated before answering. "Devraj Malhotra. We need to know his weaknesses."
Kabir exhaled a cloud of smoke, his expression unreadable. Then, he laughed. "You boys have guts, I’ll give you that."
He stubbed out his cigarette. "Alright. I’ll help you."
Ayush and Aryan exchanged a glance, surprised at how easy that was.
"But," Kabir continued, his smirk darkening, "I don’t do favors for free."
Ayush’s stomach tightened. "What do you want?"
Kabir leaned back. "A deal. When the time comes, I’ll ask for something—and you won’t refuse."
Aryan frowned. "That’s vague as hell."
Kabir’s smirk didn’t fade. "That’s the deal. Take it or leave it."
Ayush knew this was dangerous. But they needed an edge against Devraj.
After a long pause, he nodded. "Deal."
Kabir’s smirk widened. "Pleasure doing business."
Meanwhile…
At the Oberoi mansion, Arnav sat in his study, staring at the security footage.
The footage of Ayush and Aryan entering Kabir Sharma’s warehouse.
His grip on his glass tightened.
"Those idiots," he muttered under his breath.
They had just made a deal with the devil.
