Ayush’s Dilemma
Ayush couldn’t tear his eyes away from the documents in front of him.
The words on the pages blurred together, but one thing was clear—these weren’t forged. They were real. Transactions, names, hidden accounts…
All linked to Arnav Oberoi.
"You’re lying," Ayush muttered, though his voice lacked conviction.
Devraj smiled like a predator. "Am I? Or is it that your perfect elder brother isn’t so perfect after all?"
Ayush clenched his fists. "Even if this is true… why would you show me this? What do you want from me?"
Devraj leaned back, his smirk widening. "Nothing much. Just… keep your eyes open. Start asking questions. Don’t you want to know what else Arnav is hiding from you?"
Ayush hesitated.
What if this was true?
For years, Arnav had controlled everything—every decision, every aspect of their lives. He kept secrets, dictated their actions, and never explained why.
Maybe… just maybe… Devraj was right.
Maybe Arnav wasn’t protecting them.
Maybe he was controlling them to hide his own sins.
Before Ayush could speak, a loud crash echoed through the club.
Arnav Arrives
The doors burst open, and Arnav Oberoi stepped in.
The air in the room shifted.
Even Devraj’s men tensed as the eldest Oberoi strode forward, his presence suffocating. Anirudh followed closely behind, his eyes scanning the room for threats.
Ayush felt a strange mix of relief and resentment.
"Ah, the great Arnav Oberoi." Devraj clapped mockingly. "I was just having a little chat with your brother."
Arnav’s eyes didn’t leave Ayush. "Get up. We’re leaving."
Ayush hesitated.
Devraj chuckled. "See? He’s starting to think for himself. That must terrify you."
Arnav finally turned to Devraj, his face a mask of cold fury. "The only thing that terrifies me is how much you underestimate me."
Devraj smirked. "Oh, I don’t. But your brother? I think he’s starting to realize that you’re not as righteous as you claim to be."
Ayush swallowed, the weight of the file burning in his hands.
Arnav’s gaze sharpened. "Whatever he told you, it’s a lie."
Ayush met his brother’s eyes. But for the first time… he wasn’t sure if he believed him.
