The Torture Begins

The next morning, at 6:00 AM sharp, Avni, Ayush, and Aryan were dragged out of bed.

Not by alarm clocks.

Not by their own will.

But by Anirudh and Arnav themselves.

Arnav yanked Aryan’s blanket away. "Get up."

Anirudh kicked Ayush’s mattress. "Move it."

Avni tried to fake sleep.

"She’s not waking up," Anirudh muttered.

Arnav sighed. "Fine."

And then—he dumped a bottle of ice-cold water on her.

"AAAHH!" Avni shot up instantly. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"

Arnav smirked. "You have work to do."

Ayush groaned. "This is illegal. I swear this is illegal."

Anirudh shoved a stack of papers into his hands. "Not in my law book."

Aryan rubbed his eyes. "What exactly are we doing?"

Arnav smirked. "You’re about to find out."

Internship From Hell

Each sibling was assigned to a different nightmare.

Avni was stuck with Anirudh—drowning in legal files, contracts, and endless paperwork.

"Highlight the important clauses," Anirudh instructed.

Avni blinked at the pages. "What even is this language? Latin?"

Anirudh smirked. "Welcome to the law."

She groaned. "I’d rather go back to running laps."

Ayush was assigned to Arnav’s office—handling financial reports, client emails, and back-to-back calls.

Arnav dumped a huge stack of files in front of him.

"Sort these. By the time I come back, I want them perfectly organized."

Ayush stared. "Perfectly? This is, like, a thousand pages!"

Arnav smirked. "Then you’d better start."

Aryan was forced to assist Anirudh in court preparations—which meant reading through boring case studies.

After ten minutes, Aryan slammed his head on the desk.

"Kill me. Just kill me."

Anirudh patted his head. "Nope. You suffer first."

A Failed Escape Plan

By lunchtime, the three had reached their limit.

"We have to get out of this," Avni whispered.

Ayush sighed. "How?"

Aryan smirked. "Watch and learn."

He stood up, stretched, and casually said, "Anirudh, I’m going to the bathroom."

Anirudh didn’t even look up. "Be back in three minutes."

Aryan nodded. Then—he ran for the front door.

Just as he touched the handle—

A hand grabbed his collar.

He was yanked back.

Arnav dragged him inside like a disobedient child. "Nice try."

Ayush facepalmed. "Idiot."

Avni groaned. "We’re doomed."

The Realization

By the end of the day, all three of them were exhausted.

They collapsed on the living room couch, staring at the ceiling.

"I take it back," Ayush muttered. "Cleaning the house was better."

Aryan groaned. "I think I lost brain cells today."

Avni sighed. "Okay… maybe… just maybe… we shouldn’t have pranked them."

Ayush nodded. "Yeah. Lesson learned. No more rebellion."

Aryan scoffed. "For now."

Unbeknownst to them, Arnav and Anirudh were listening nearby.

Arnav smirked. "Think they’ll behave now?"

Anirudh chuckled. "We’ll see."
