Sophia’s POV
Ian pecked me, kissing my forehead and my cheek before kissing my nose too. I giggled, melting into his touch while he wrapped his arms around my waist protectively. I loved it when we were like this. When he held me like he couldn’t afford to let me go. Like he never wanted to let me go.
“Look left and right before you cross the road,” he said against my neck, his hot breath making me shiver. If he kept up with that, I might just have to seduce him into fucking me in his office, even though we both agreed that that wouldn’t do that again. Just so we wouldn’t get caught. It was better to be on the safer side.
“I’m not a child,” I reminded him. “You make me feel so little.”
“Do I?” He asked with a smirk.
“Yes, you do,” I answered with a pout. “How old are you anyways?”
“Older than you think,” he answered with a shrug. “Your Uber is waiting outside, we don’t want to keep him waiting. Make sure you call me when you get home. Okay?”
“Yes, yes,” I answered with a roll of my eyes and picked up my bag. He kissed the side of my lips, and then kissed my forehead. My heart was beating so fast thy I feared he could hear it.
I bit my cheek and sighed, heat crawling up my cheeks.
“Take care of yourself,” he said and kissed my lips before holding my hand and leading me outside to his gate. I blushed as he kissed my cheek once again and opened the gate for me. I stepped outside and he didn’t follow me. I sighed. I could understand that he had to protect my career, and I also had to be careful because of my academics but I doubted anyone from the school could see us here. But still I was better to be careful than to end up regretting later. I smiled at him and tuned around while he closed the gate. I walked to the Uber and got into his car then he drove off.
“So how did your weekend go?” Jenny asked the moment I stepped into our room. She had her books laid out on the bed. It seemed like she was reading.
“Wow…I don’t think I’ve ever seen you reading ever since we resumed,” I said as I closed the door behind me and locked it. I walked to my bed and plopped down on it.
“You didn’t answer my question…and that’s not your cloth,” she noted. “Did you even go to classes today?”
“Yes, Jenny, I did.”
“And did he also come to class?” She asked. I nodded. Heat crept up my cheeks as I remembered how I couldn’t stop thinking of how he fucked me instead of trying to concentrate in his class. At least I was able to do my best in the test he had given up because I had started reading ahead.
“Yes, Jenny, he did,” I answered with an overdramatic sigh.
“And with the way you’re blushing, I’m suspecting that you and him had sex in his office again?” She asked and then gave me a look I didn’t like. “It’s risky that you’re sleeping with your lecturer,” she began with a whisper. “But sleeping with him in his office?”
“No, Jenny. We didn’t,” I answered with a roll of my eyes. “Did you think I’d do that again and risk someone finding out that he and I are sleeping together?” I whispered harshly. “I’m not that stupid.”
“I’m sorry…I’m just looking out for you,” she answered with a sigh. “Well? How was your weekend?” She asked again. “And did you wear his clothes to school?”
“My weekend was fine. And yes, it’s just his hoodie. Mine tire this morning while I was at his place,” I explained.
“Oh,” she answered with a casual shrug. “How’s his house? Is it beautiful?”
“More than,” I answered and giggled like an highschool teenager. “His living room is bigger than my room,” I murmured and sighed. “His house is big and beautiful. I wasn’t expecting such a beautiful house from him.”
“Me too,” Jenny said, pursing her lips as she jotted something down on her notebook.
“So how was your weekend at Ronan’s place?” I asked her, raising a brow slightly. I watched as her cheeks slowly turned pink and she bit her lip while she kept her eyes on her book. She was trying not to blush.
“You know you’re like an open book, right?” I murmured, laughing lightly and shaking my head at her attempt to ignore my question and act normal. “Just look at how you’re blushing. Anyone with perfectly functioning eyes can tell what happened between you and him.”
“Ugh. You don’t have to make it so obvious that you know. You should have just gone with the flow,” she murmured, rolling her eyes slightly then she looked at me. “Is it that obvious?”
“Yes, duh,” I answered, rolling my eyes slightly and then laughing. “Jeez! You’re in too deep for him, aren’t you?”
“No. I’m not,” she lied. I held her eyes for a while, knowing fully well that she wouldn’t hold eye contact with me if she was lying. She looked away from me and groaned, falling back on her bed while covering her face. “Fine! Fine I like him! Jeez, I hate you.”
“I love you too,” I answered, laughing lightly while shaking my head. “I know that you like him, Jenny. That’s not what I’m asking. I’m asking if you’ve fallen for him.”
“That fast? No of course not,” she denied. I decided to let it go. It was clear that she was still processing her feelings with this guy and I wanted her to take her time with that.
“What’s he like anyway?” I asked her.
“You’ve asked me before,” she murmured, eyeing me.
“Have I?” I asked, raising a brow at her.
“Leave me alone. I’m trying to study. Exams are in a few weeks. You know that,” she said.
“Oh, that’s true,” I answered with a nod of my head.
“So, how was your history test today?” She asked as she sat up on her bed once again and began to close her books then put them in the bookshelf next to her bd.
“It was fine,” I answered with a nod of my head. “I was able to write what I knew on what he asked us. I’ve been reading ahead,” I explained.
“That’s my girl!” She hyped, a grin on her face as she got up from her bed and walked to me, taking my hand and dragging me away from mine.
“What?” I asked, quickly getting up from the bed before I could fall down from all her dragging.
“Let’s go out and have dinner,” she said.
“Dinner?” I repeated after her and then looked at my digital clock on my nightstand. “Bitch, it’s just 4:48 pm.”
“Lunch then?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.
“It’s past time for lunch, too, Jenny. Are you hungry right now?” I asked her with a raised eyebrow. I wasn’t exactly hungry since I had eaten before I left Ian’s house this morning.
“Yes, I’ve barely had anything to eat all day,” she whined with a pout.
“You’ve barely had anything to eat, or you have not had anything to eat?” I asked her with a raised brow..
“I’ve barely had anything to eat,” she answered.
“So you’ve eaten?” I raised a brow at her once again.
“Burger doesn’t count as an actual food, Sophia,” she answered me with a frown as she walked to her closet and grabbed a sweater which she put on then quickly slid her get into her Crocs then took my hands once again. “Let’s go,” she added. I wore my Crocs and left with her.
“…and he kept trying to touch me but I was so irritated that I couldn’t help but give him the hot, dirty slap he deserved. Who did he think he was to touch me that way?” She narrated her experience at a night club she had gone to sith Ronan yesterday.
“And where was Ronan all this time?” I asked, raising a brow at her before I put a forkful of pasta in my mouth.
“He excused himself to the restroom,” she answered. “And he came back after I slapped the stupid bastard who thought he could put his hands on me however he liked.”
“And what did he do to him?” I asked, taking a sip of my water.
“He—oh, there he is.” Her cheeks turned pink instantly and I smiled, turning around and looking at the fairly tall, quiet looking, handsome guy who just walked into the restaurant.
“I’ll leave you both to it,” I told her and patted her hand then got up. The guy must have seen her too and was already heading towards us. I passed him and gave him a polite smile before walking out of the restaurant. It wasn’t far from the dorm so I could just trek it.
I looked left and right, and when I was sure that no vehicle was passing, I began to cross the road. Out of no where, a car came speeding right at me and I froze, my eyes widening. A cold hand grabbed me and dragged me back on the walkway.
