Sophia’s POV
I was waiting. Waiting for my skin to burn. Waiting for me to catch fire. Waiting for me to turn to ashes. I was just waiting. But it didn’t seem like that was going to happen.
I’ve been sitting here for hours and it hasn’t happened anyways. But it didn’t mean it still couldn’t happen. I knew it could. Lyanna could probably reverse the spell and just kill me.
I wanted it to happen anyways. Because I couldn’t face Jenny. I couldn’t handle being in front of Jenny without thinking of how I was going to rip her throat out.
It wasn’t just her. I had almost attacked Lyanna earlier too. When she was trying to start a conversation with me. I was barely able to hold myself back and I doubted I’d be able to hold myself back when it came to Jenny.
I ran my hands through my hair in frustration and sighed, rubbing my face.
I didn’t know what to think. I didn’t know what to do or what to say. I was very confused. I couldn’t focus on one thing. Not with all this noise. It was too loud. She sounds of cars passing in the distance. Even the sound of birds and the sound of crickets chirping. It was too loud.
The only thing I could barely hear was whatever conversation they were havingi side the house. I wasn’t very eager to know what they were talking about anyways. But J was curious. I just couldn’t listen on it, I don’t know why.
I ran my hands through my hair in frustration and laid in the grass, staring up at the sun.
I heard footsteps coming closer and closer and the someone was lying in the grass with me. I could tell it was Ian. Through his scent. And the fact that he was the only one bo would bother to come closer to me anyways.
I was sure I had scared Jenny away from me yesterday and Jacob hated me anyways so he wouldn’t come. The other guy… Mike, had no business with me so he won’t sit here with me. Only Ian will.
“What’s going through your head?” He asked. I turned my head to look at him and I saw that he was staring up at the sky too, a barely readable look on his face.
I shrugged. “I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop.”
“The other shoe?” I could hear the confusion in his voice.
“You know, like, for my to catch fire or something of that sort,” I answered grimly. He looked at me and then sighed.
“That won’t happen,” he replied and I shook my head.
“You don’t know that.”
“I do, actually,” he answered. “Lyanna is trust worthy. Besides the spell has already been done. No one can harm you…not like how you’re thinking at least.”
“I nearly attacked her,” I told him.
“When?” I could tell he didn’t know about that.
“Today. Here. Didn’t she report me to you?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Lyanna is not like that. She won’t harm you because of that. It’s something she has gotten used to,” he assured me.
“Hmm,” I replied with a nod. “How long have you been a vampire?” I asked.
He turned his head to look at me. “Over 4 centuries,” he answered. “But even I have forgotten how long exactly.”
“How did it happen?” I asked him but he shook his head.
“That’s for another day,” he answered.
“Why won’t you tell me?” I found myself pouting, sitting up. “I want to know everything…about you…about the realm.”
“That will be for another day,” he answered with another shake of his head. “We have much to discuss.”
“Much? What and what are we supposed to discuss?” I asked raising a brow.
“You’ve not spoken to Jenny yet, have you?” He asked.
I looked away from him, frowning slightly. “What am I supposed to talk to her about?”
“Anything,” he answered with a shrug, sitting up.
“I can’t exactly concentrate and form a conversation around her when all I can think of is how to drain her blood,” I murmured, the frown resting on my face.
“You’re going to have to do that somehow,” he answered. “That’s your first lesson.”
“I’m not interested,” I murmured back.
“You are,” he said. “You have to be. I’m not asking you.”
I narrowed my eyes at him. “Are you trying to test my temper?” I asked. “Because It’s not the same as you used to know.”
“I don’t care about your temper. You’re going to do what I told you to do and that’s final,” he answered, his eyes hardening. “Am I clear?”
“You’re not ordering me around,” I said, narrowing my eyes at him and sucking my teeth between my teeth.
He just stared at me for a few seconds. Then he got up and stretched his hands out at me. “Come.”
I eyed his stretched hand and got up on my own, dusting the dirt off the sundress I was wearing. He withdrew his hand. “Where are we going?” I demanded.
“Follow me,” he answered and led me back into the house and to his study. There wasn’t anyone in sight anyways.
I walked in and he locked the door behind us.
Ian’s POV
“Get on the table,” I ordered, following her movements and reactions with my eyes. She had totally changed from the girl I used to know. She wasn’t the Sophia who used to respect my decisions.
No.
She was now the one who seemed to take pleasure in questioning my every decision. And defying my orders now. Because she was standing by the door, just staring at me.
I narrowed my eyes at her. “Sophia, sit.”
“Why?” She demanded again.
*Because I told you to, fuck. Just do what I said,” I snapped.
She narrowed her eyes at me and slowly walked to my desk. She climbed it and I walked to her, pushing her legs apart and standing in between.
“What are you doing?” She asked, pursing her lips as she stared at me.
“Be quiet,” I said softly. “Can you do that for me?”
“Why?” She asked as though she didn’t trust me.
“Just be quiet. Okay?” I answered, running my hands through her hair softly.
Slowly, she relaxed and wrapped her legs around my waist. “You good?” I asked her and she nodded.
I cupped her jaw and kissed her softly and slowly. She froze, and then slowly she relaxed, kissing me back in the same soft manner before wrapping her arms around my shoulder.
I smiled against her lips, rubbing her thighs and pushing the hem of her dress up. I caressed her thighs in a small circular motion before moving my hands up to her clit.
“You’re not wearing any underwear?” I asked, shocked as I broke the kiss. She gave me a mischievous grin.
“I couldn’t find any,” she answered with a shrug.
I smiled slowly and shook my head at her antics. I pushed a finger into her and her breath hitched, her pupils dilating a bit. She was wet and ready for me as usual.
I kissed the side of her cheek and kissed her neck, pushing in a second finger. I began to move my fingers, making sure to hit her spot hard. She moaned, arching her back for me and throwing her head back as she moaned.
“Ian,” she whispered. “Someone could hear.”
“Let them,” I answered, loving the look of pleasure on her face as I slammed my finger into her cunt repeatedly.
“You said – ah—said we have much t—to talk about,” she stuttered between moans.
“I changed my head. We might as well do this,” I murmured against her lips as her thighs tightened round me. She clenched repeatedly around me and I knew instantly that she was close to the edge. I kissed the side of her lips.
“Good girl,” I murmured, kissing her on the lips before withdrawing my fingers instantly.
Her eyes flew open instantly and she gasped, staring at me with wide, unbelievable eyes. “Ian…” She trailed off, unable to form a coherent sentence. “I was close!” She breathed out at last.
“Yes, you were,” I answered flatly. “But I’m sorry, you can’t get that orgasm, not yet,” I added, stepping out from the middle of hr legs even though my cock was straining against my pants. Fuck. I had missed her. I had missed being inside of her.
“Why not?” She asked with a pout.
“You only get an orgasm when you’ve spoken to Jenny,” I answered and her mood deflated instantly.
“That’s what this is about?” She asked with a scoff and I shrugged.
“You talk to her, and you get a reward, am I clear?” I asked her.
“I told you I can’t control myself around her,” she snapped.
“Well then let that be your first task. Okay?”
I could see it in her eyes that she wanted nothing more than to argue with me. But she remained quiet, saying nothing until she finally caved in. “Fine.”
