I bend on my knees and look at her eyes "Please don't cry, ok come I will drop you home ok? Now stop crying" she slowly stops crying which makes me feel relieved

Upon reaching her house, her dad opens the door, worried expressions stuck on his face

As soon as he sees Charlotte, he quickly enveloped her in a warm hug "Where were you? I was so worried about you at least you have messaged me that you are not coming home tonight" he scolded

"Yeah I forgot, I'm sorry" she makes a puppy face, and her father chuckles at her actions "It's ok, but take care from next time" she nods and moves inside

Then her father looks at me, but with a sharp expression, as if today is my end. I give him an awkward smile

"So, you are Ethan Francois, her lawyer" he voiced, "ye-yes I'm Ethan Francois, nice to meet you sir" I say with hesitation

He smiles slightly "She is my one and only daughter, so please take care of her" I sigh in relief form inside and nod with a warm smile

"Why are you standing outside? Please come" he insists me to come, and I follow him through the door

"So, how is the case going?" He asks, while taking a seat on the couch, "Well, right now we are searching for a man, through him, we can get the answers of our questions" I say, while sitting in front of him

"A man?" He asks, I sigh "yeah, a man used to come to meet your wife at the hospital every Friday, do you know someone?" I explain him all the things we got to know at the hospital

After thinking for a meer second, he finally says meeting my eye "No, Charlotte's mother didn't have any rivalry with anyone then who could this be? And if I have a rival, why would he only hurt my wife and not me and my daughter?" He states

I hum in acknowledgement, and get up form the couch "ok, so Mr. Carter I shall take my leave, and if you remember any one with those eyes and shoes please contact me" he bids me a bye, and I straight go to my office

I was sitting in my cabin motionless, staring at a blank spot. My hands clasped together. The soft hum of the aur conditioner was the only sound filling the air. My mind was racing with the thoughts of case in hand

Just when the door creaked open, Bianca crept inside the door, with worried expressions stuck on her face

"Ethan, media is outside. They are calling you to know about the matter you did at the bar last night" she exclaims

With a deel sigh, I get up from the seat and go out, with Bianca following me

I walk towards the gate where all the media was present, probably waiting for me, I take a deep breath and move towards them

As soon as I reach there, all the people starts asking questions about yesterday's Event, I don't utter a single word and quietly listen to their words

After a few minutes, I finally begin "listen everyone, the people I harmed yesterday were criminals and they were involved in some crime, so I was forced to shoot bullets on them, or they would have ran away from there"

I tell everyone a fake story, and surprisingly they all believe it, I smile broadly in my mind, and think to surrender both of them in a false case, cause how dare they see what's mine

After a brief time with the question- answer session, I finally regress to my cabin

I sit on my chair with a thug and again start thinking about the case in hand. When the door creaked open, I looked up to see Bianca coming towards me

"What happened? You look ...offended" I ask noticing her angry expressions

"What happened? Actually that's my question. What is going on? Why did you shoot them?" She demanded

I sighed "They were looking at Charlotte with wrong eyes .." I speak my voice barely above a whisper

"So? It means you will shoot them? Why? She is just a client" she declares

"She is not JUST a client, she is my entire existence" I yell, ascending from my chair

"But you only left her right? Then what happened now? Why did you want her back?" She asks, "because.. because I can't live without her and I understood it now when I feared losing her"

I speak, my eyes shining with sorrow and guilt as I remember how i left everything without saying anyone anything

She sighs, and moves forward to give me a hug, I just stand still, my eyes glued on the floor beneath me, before I could react, Bianca embraces me in a warm hug but I don't hug her back

Just when the door creaked open, Bianca broke the hug and we moved our eyes towards the door

Charlotte.... The only words left through my mouth

She stand still as she see Bianca and me, her eyes questioning us. "Violet-" Before I could speak further she cut me off

"Looks like I came at the wrong time, please continue your 'private' talks I will come later" she speaks hastily and moves out of the door

I run towards her, following her to the main gate, calling her name again and again

Finally she stops, and turn over to face me "What?" She says, her voice is equal to a yell

I try to justify my point but was again cut off by her "Why are you explaining it to me? I'm not interested in your life, you are just my lawyer and we are solving a case that's it. After the case solves, we will move to our respective paths"

I stand there motionless, my eyes fixed on her, as she proceed to move out. I never thought I would hurt her that much. I have to fix my mistakes

I take out my phone and dial Andre's' no. It's been a while since I last talked to him. A few days ago, he shifted from here to 'Les chalets' his hometown

He said, he wants to stay with his family. I know it is hard to stay away from each other because we both are together from the start, when we were just kids

He coughs "Umm, Nothing's right here too. I mean I came here only to convince her but she doesn't seem like to be trapped easily in my love"

"Don't worry she will, I know my brother's will power" I laugh

With a thump, i get up from my seat, my eyes questioning him "Wh-what?" My words choking in air

"Yes, you heard right. He came that day, see this footage I brought from the bar" he took his phone, showing a video

I take his phone, my meer gaze stuck on the video displaying on the phone. My eyes widened as I noticed a man, his face covered BUT his shoes...

"This is the same man who used to come, to meet Mrs Carter at the hospital" Lanier said, pointing to the same guy, I was looking at

It means he came... But how did he know that I was there?

The only question running in the mind, like wildfire. I sat my desk with a thug, unable to think. My mind went blank "I thought I was very close to the case but I can't even find a single man"

Ahhh, he came ... He knew we were there ... We went there to keep an eye on him and there he was .. who came only to keep an eye on us ....

"Hey, Ethan?" Lanier waved his hand, cause I zoned out... In my own thoughts "I know you are shocked but don't worry we will find him-"

Before he could speak further, we were disturbed by a sound, we looked towards the door, to see 'Bianca' standing on the door

She penetrated inside the room, her steps confidential and sharp. "Ethan, let's have dinner together" she says, meeting my gaze, a bright smile drawn on her face

"Umm, I should go then" Lanier says glancing at Bianca and looking back at me, I think for a few seconds

I still feel bad for what happened in the afternoon and i have to go, to make up everything good with Charlotte

"Hey, I'm sorry but I something important to attend. Why don't you both go together?" I ask, with a awkward smile cause I know how can they go together? They don't even know each other

They both give an awkward look "Sure.." Bianca says with hesitation and looks at Lanier who was already lost in his own thoughts

"Wait, what- I mean yes, that's fine" he smiles still looking at Bianca. Their bond will be great together and I will also go to meet Charlotte

They both go out leaving me and my intrusive thoughts behind. Now I can finally go along with my plan
