"Everything okay, papa?" I asked papa since he looked worried.

"Yeah , just bring your brother and we need to go , now"

Papa said leaving no room for argument, I nodded my head and excused myself from the man i was talking to , it didn't matter anyway he was just interested in our company , I went to my brother , Massimo, he was in a less crowded place talking to his phone , I approached him and tapped his shoulder , He turned to me while farrowing his eyebrows, I mummbled to him

" We need to go , now , papa said , something looks urgent "

He nodded his head then he told the one who is in the phone

"Yeah , Just let's discuss that later , I need to go now " we begin to move in the same pace going to the front door to leave ,

"What's wrong?" He asked me

"I don't know papa said that we need to leave, he looked worried " I told him .

We approached dad , We left the party some people were looking at us , but that is not a problem anymore, , we didn't talk untill we were in the car , Papa was the first to break the silence before he begin to drive ,

" I ____I had a phone call from the cps ____ It is about your brother, Luca."

In that moment, it was as if an explosion tore through my world, leaving only shock in its wake. My brother?, Luca? Did they_____Did they found him?

Massimo was the first to break the silence ,

"Did the found him , papa , is he safe , where is he?"

Massimo was shocked i saw it in his eyes , Massimo is always soft with our younger brothers since our mother was always neglectful to us , Mass had a great role in our brothers life , he always took care of them , in their health, he was always soft with them , he cares about them so much , that we usually tease him about that , but that is not important now , we need answers.

" what happened papa" I asked , papa's eyes were welling up with tears, but he still answered us

" An officer from the cps talked to me , he told me that the knew from the English authorities in England that there is a boy in same age of Luca's is found and since that Luca's disappearence is a well know case they suspect that this is our Luca because he looks like us , but still We need to do a DNA test to make sure that he is our Luca , The problem is that he is still in England and we need to travel , now" He said while looking in my eyes , then he looked in massimo's eyes , Mass was in the backseat, he looked shocked and had many emotions I could see that in his eyes he then broked the silence , again ,

"We ... we need to go now papa , let's.. let's talk to Ricardo tell him what happened and tell him to take care of the twins , we have to tell him , we have to call the pilot to ready the jet and go , we need to go papa" Massimo 's eyes filled with excitement, hope , but also some sadness , he was hopeful that this will be luca , our brother , I was hopeful too , I turned to my father and told him ,

" Mass is right papa , we need to go , we need to hurry , we can make a reservation at any hotel now , and we can buy clothes there , We need to go" Papa nodded to us and he said

" Alright, Mass call Ricardo and tell him what happend and Leo call the pilot to ready the jet and we are going to go now " , I nodded to him , and papa Started driving while i was dialing the pilot. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

I was sitting in my study revising some paperwork , I am beginning to train with papa in the company to run and manage it since i am the heir of the company , The twins both were in the gaming room playing on the ps5 , I was disturbed by a phone call from Massimo, weird aren't they supposed to finish the lart at 10:00 it is now 8:30 I answered the call before i could talk Mass talked really quickly

" Fratello , listen to me and focus , We have found luca an kfficer from the cps called dad , We need to have a DNA test to make sure it is him ,Unfortunately Luca is in England so we are going to take the jet and go to England , We will be back after 2 days or maybe more because the DNA test takes a long of time , I need you tell the twins that and please take care if them untill we come back , Please."

As I listened to the words From Mass , my grip on the phone tightened, and I felt a cold wave of shock wash over me, leaving me rooted to the spot. I was shocked , Luca .... we could find Luca... it could be him!! I was snapped from my thoughts by Mass shouting in the other line

"RIC????" I answered him quickly

" I.. I am here , I will go tell the twins , please update me , please , Massimo " I begged him ,

" Don't worry, I will update you just take care of the twins and yourself and if you needed something call me or papa ,please ok? , I will go now , bye"

"Bye" I answered and with that i hanged up the call ______________

I couldn't believe it when Massimo told me. Luca was alive, and they had found him in England. My mind raced with a thousand thoughts-relief, anger, and fear all mixing together. But I didn't have time to process any of it right now. The first thing I needed to do was tell Alessio and Marco.

I found them in the gaming room, the door slightly ajar, the sounds of their video game echoing into the hallway. I paused for a moment, taking in the sight of them-Alessio leaning forward in his chair, totally absorbed in the game, and Marco sitting cross-legged on the floor, his eyes glued to the screen. They looked so innocent, so caught up in their world. It almost felt wrong to pull them out of it, to burden them with the reality that had just crashed into ours.

But they needed to know.

I knocked lightly on the door, just loud enough to get their attention. "Hey, guys, can I come in?"

Alessio glanced back at me, his brow furrowed in concentration as he hit a series of buttons on the controller. "Yeah, sure, Ric. What's up?"

I stepped inside, closing the door behind me. "I need to talk to you both. It's important."

Marco paused the game, sensing the seriousness in my tone. He looked up at me, his expression shifting from excitement to concern. "What's going on, Ric?"

I took a deep breath, trying to find the right words. "They found Luca," I said, my voice a little shaky. "He's in England."

For a moment, there was silence. The news hung in the air, heavy and unreal. Alessio and Marco exchanged a glance, and I could see the shock and confusion written all over their faces.

"Luca?" Alessio finally whispered, his voice filled with a mix of disbelief and hope. "He's really alive?"

I nodded, feeling the weight of the truth settling in. "Yes, he's alive. Massimo , Leonardo and Papa are going to England to bring him home."

Marco's eyes widened, and he sat up straighter. "We're going too, right? We have to go."

"No ,No we aren't " I said , my heart pounding in my chest. "We can't go they need to go very quickly , they don't even have clothes with them , And they still need to make a DNA test so we will just slow them , they will came back in 2 days or so."

Alessio's controller slipped from his hands, forgotten on the floor as he stood up, his face pale. "but ... but .. we need to.......Is he okay? I mean... he's been gone for so long..."

"I don't know all the details yet," I admitted, trying to keep my voice steady. " It will be okay , guys , don't worry "

I moved closer to them, placing a hand on each of their shoulders.

Alessio looked at me, his eyes wide and vulnerable in a way I hadn't seen in a long time. "Ric, what if he's... different? What if he doesn't even remember us?"

My heart clenched at the thought, but I forced myself to stay strong for them. "We'll deal with that when he get here. Right now, all we need to focus on settle the house to make it better and wait for the others to bring him home. We'll handle everything else together, as a family."

They both nodded, though I could see the fear and uncertainty in their eyes. We were all feeling it-none of us knew what to expect, what state Luca would be in, or how this would change our family. But we had to believe that we could get through it.

I pulled them both into a hug, holding on tightly. "We're going to get him back," I said softly, more to reassure myself than anything else.

As I held them, I could feel the tension in their bodies, the same anxiety that was gnawing at me. But beneath it, there was a determination too-a resolve to do whatever it took to protect our brother, to bring our family back together.

We are now in the plane in our seats it is going to fly anytime soon Papa , Looks worried , he misses Luca so much he is the youngest member in our family , he was just 2 years when he was taken from us , He is a different kid now , I just hope everything goes good , Massimo his leg are bouncing up and down i have never seen him this worried since a long time ago.

I remmember that day , when he disappeared, when mama also disappeared with him , I remmember that day . _____________________

Five years ago __________________

The late afternoon sun cast a warm, golden glow over the garden, making the estate look even more picturesque than usual. Marco clung to my back, his laughter ringing through the air as I jogged around the lawn, pretending we were flying

"Faster, Leo! Faster!" Marco urged, his small hands gripping my shoulders as if his life depended on it.

"Are you sure you can handle it, piccolo? I might take off if I go any faster!" I teased, adjusting my hold on him as we zipped past the rose bushes.

"You're just saying that because you're slow!" Marco shot back, his voice filled with pure, unfiltered joy.I pretended to struggle under his weight, even though he was light as a feather.

"You're getting heavy, fratellino. I might need to start lifting weights if you keep growing like this."

"Maybe I'm just strong!" Marco laughed, his words coming out between fits of giggles. As we circled the garden again, I slowed down, catching sight of Luca toddling out of the house, his little legs working overtime to keep up with his excitement. He clutched his stuffed bear-the one he never let go of-in his chubby hand. His wide eyes found us, and he lit up like the morning sun.

"Leo! Leo!" Luca called out, his voice high and clear, filled with the unbridled happiness that only a two-year-old could have.I felt a rush of warmth in my chest as I watched him. It was impossible not to smile when Luca was around. I bent down, scooping him up effortlessly and settling him on my hip. He giggled, one arm wrapping around my neck as if he never wanted to let go.

"Hey there, piccolo," I said, ruffling his soft curls.

"What's my amico up to?" "Play with Leo!" Luca demanded, his eyes sparkling with excitement, his stuffed bear now sandwiched between us.

Marco, still perched on my back, leaned forward to get a better look at Luca. "You want to play with us, Luca? We've been flying all over the garden!" "Fly! Fly!" Luca squealed, his enthusiasm infectious.I chuckled, my heart swelling with affection.

"Looks like I've got two passengers now. Think I can handle it?"

"You're the strongest, Leo!"

Marco declared, sounding absolutely certain.I smiled, balancing Luca in one arm while bracing Marco with the other.

"Alright, hold on tight. Ready for takeoff?"Both boys giggled in unison as I started running again, pretending to soar through the air. I dipped and swooped, making airplane noises that sent them into fits of laughter. Their joy was the best sound in the world, and I wished I could bottle it up and keep it with me forever.

As we circled back toward the house, I spotted Papa on the veranda, watching us with a look of quiet pride. He stepped down from the stone steps and crossed the lawn to meet us, and the moment Luca saw him, he squirmed in my arms, reaching out.

"Papa! Papa!" Luca shouted, nearly wriggling out of my grip in his eagerness.

"There's my little tesoro," Papa said warmly, taking Luca from my arms and lifting him high into the air before settling him against his chest.

"What adventures have you been on today?"

"Flying with Leo!" Luca replied, his voice muffled as he buried his face in Papa's shoulder, still clutching his bear tightly.Papa chuckled, pressing a kiss to Luca's head before looking at me with that same proud smile , He also pressed a kiss to my temple and Marco ' s.

"You're doing a great job, Leo. You're a wonderful big brother."

"Thanks, Papa," I said, feeling a warmth spread through me that had nothing to do with the afternoon sun. There was something about hearing those words from him that made everything worth it-the responsibilities, the pressure, all of it.

Marco, now sliding off my back, piped up with his own enthusiasm.

"We flew all around the garden, Papa! Leo's the best pilot ever!"

Papa laughed again, nodding as he ruffled Marco's hair.

"Sounds like you had a lot of fun. How about we head inside for dinner?"

"Okay!" Marco agreed, grabbing my hand and tugging me toward the house.

As we approached, I noticed Mama standing in the doorway. Her expression was as distant as always, her eyes skimming over us as if she barely registered our presence.

She was dressed impeccably, as usual, her makeup and hair flawless, but there was a coldness in her that I had never quite been able to understand.

"Dinner is ready," she said, her tone flat, before turning and walking back into the house without another word.I exchanged a glance with Papa, who gave me a small, resigned nod. We were used to this-Mama's detachment had been a part of our lives for as long as I could remember, but that didn't make it any easier to accept.

The dining room was grand, as always, but it felt colder than usual. The table was set with fine china and crystal glasses, but there was a silence that hung over us, thick and heavy. We took our seats, and I made sure to sit near Luca, who was already starting to doze off, his little head nodding as he fought to stay awake.

"Papa, sleepy," Luca murmured halfway through the meal, rubbing his eyes with his free hand.Papa smiled gently at him.

"We'll get you to bed soon, piccolo."

"Leo," Massimo called from across the table, his brow furrowed with concern,

"could you pass the bread?"I nodded and handed the basket over to him. Massimo was 19, but he often looked older, I am proud of him , He is so smart , He skipped 2 years in school , He is just going to be a doctor when he is 23 or 24 years old ,now with finals looming.

He'd been buried in books for weeks, and it showed in the dark circles under his eyes.

"Thanks," he murmured, before glancing over at Luca with a tired smile.

"He's out like a light, huh?"

"Yeah," I replied, glancing down at Luca, who was now resting his head against my arm.

"He's had a big day."

"Don't let him eat too much before bed," Mama chimed in, her voice distant.

"It'll upset his stomach."I didn't respond, knowing it wouldn't make much difference whether I did or not. I focused on Luca instead, helping him eat a few more bites before his eyes started to close again. After dinner, Mama excused herself, leaving the table without so much as a glance at any of us. I watched her go, the familiar pang of disappointment settling in my chest. It was a feeling I'd grown accustomed to over the years, but it still hurt, no matter how much I tried to ignore it.Papa lifted Luca from his high chair, the little boy already half-asleep in his arms.

"I'll take him to bed. You boys go on up."

"I'll come with you," I offered, standing up as well.

"Leo, you've had a long day," Papa said gently. "You don't have to-"

"I want to," I insisted. I wasn't ready to let go of the day just yet, and I knew that Luca would sleep better with both of us there.Papa nodded, his expression softening.

"Alright, then. Let's get this little one to bed."We made our way upstairs, passing by Ricardo's room on the way. The door was ajar, and I could see him inside, reading a book while stretched out on his bed. At 16, Ricardo was growing into his own, caught somewhere between childhood and adulthood. He glanced up as we passed, offering a small smile.

"Goodnight, Ric," I called softly, not wanting to disturb Luca, who was now completely asleep. Ric often didn't have dinner with us when Mama is there he distance himself from her so he doesn't sit or eat with us when she is there .

"Night, Leo. Night, Papa,"

Ricardo replied, before turning his attention back to his book.We continued down the hall, reaching Luca's room at the far end. It was a small, cozy space, filled with soft blues and whites. Papa gently laid Luca down in his crib, pulling the blankets up around him with practiced ease. Luca stirred slightly but didn't wake, his tiny hand still clutching his stuffed bear.I leaned over the crib, brushing a lock of hair from Luca's forehead.

"Sleep well, piccolo," I whispered, my voice barely audible in the quiet room.Papa stood by, watching us with a soft expression.

"He's lucky to have you, Leo. You're a good brother."

"Thanks, Papa," I murmured, feeling a mix of pride . These moments were precious, We stayed there for a few more minutes, just watching Luca sleep. The room was filled with a peaceful silence, the kind that made you feel like everything was right in the world. But as much as I wanted to hold onto that feeling, I knew it couldn't last.

Finally, Papa placed a hand on my shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"Let's get some rest. Tomorrow's another day."I nodded, reluctant to leave, but knowing I needed to. As we left the room, I cast one last look back at Luca, who was now completely lost in his dreams.

After we left Luca's room, I headed down the hall to check on Massimo.

His door was partially open, and I could see him hunched over his desk, textbooks and notes spread out in front of him.

He was so engrossed in his studying that he didn't notice me until I gently knocked on the doorframe.

"Hey, fratello," I said, stepping inside.

"How's it going?"Massimo looked up, blinking as if he was trying to refocus.

"Oh, hey, Leo. It's going... I don't know. These finals are killing me."

I could see the exhaustion in his eyes, and I walked over, leaning against the edge of his desk.

"You've been studying non-stop for weeks. You're going to ace those exams, don't worry."Massimo sighed, running a hand through his hair. The college had gave him weeks to come back home to study for the finals he will go back to america after 3 days to have the exams , despite all of this , I am still proud of him.

"I hope so. I just don't want to let anyone down, you know?" He said.

"You won't," I reassured him.

"You're the smartest one in the family. We all know you've got this."

A small smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. "Thanks, Leo. I appreciate that."

I patted him on the shoulder.

"Get some rest, okay? You're no good to anyone if you're too tired to think straight."

Massimo nodded, though I could see the hesitation in his eyes.

"Yeah, I will. I just need to finish this one chapter."

"Alright," I said, backing off with a grin.

"But don't stay up too late. Papa would have my head if he knew I didn't make sure you got some sleep."

Massimo chuckled softly. "Yeah, yeah. I'll be in bed soon. Night, Leo."

"Goodnight, Massimo," I said, leaving him to his studying.

As I made my way back down the hall, I stopped outside Alessio's room.

The door was closed, but I could hear the faint sound of video game music coming from inside. I knocked lightly before opening the door to find Alessio sitting on the floor, controller in hand, completely absorbed in the game.

"Hey, Marco," I greeted, stepping inside.

"How's the game?"

Marco glanced up briefly, offering me a quick smile before focusing back on the screen.

"It's good! I'm almost at the final boss."

I watched him play for a moment, impressed by how quickly his fingers moved over the buttons. Alessio was often the quiet one, preferring to spend his time alone with his games or tinkering with gadgets.

But he was also incredibly sharp, always a few steps ahead in whatever he did.

"Just make sure you don't stay up all night, okay?" I said, crouching down beside him.

"You've got school tomorrow."Alessio nodded, his eyes still glued to the screen.

"I know, I know. I'll turn it off soon."

"Alright," I said, ruffling his hair affectionately.

"Goodnight, piccolo."

"Night, Leo," Alessio mumbled, too engrossed in his game to say much else.

Finally, I made my way to Marco's room. Unlike Alessio's, Marco had left his door wide open, a habit of his whenever he felt anxious or lonely. I found him sitting on his bed, flipping through a comic book.

"Hey, Marco," I said softly, walking in and sitting down beside him.

"What are you reading?"He looked up, his face lighting up when he saw me.

"It's the new issue of Captain Lightning! I've been waiting for it forever."I smiled, glancing at the colorful pages.

"Looks exciting. What's Captain Lightning up to this time?"

Marco launched into a detailed explanation of the plot, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. I listened, genuinely interested, even though I knew he was mostly just trying to keep his mind off things.

Ever since Luca had been born, Marco had taken to being the protective older brother with as much determination as I had. But I could tell that something had been weighing on him lately-something he wasn't quite ready to talk about.

"You know, Luca's lucky to have a big brother like you," I said once Alessio finished his story, I don't know why did I said that , but he seemed to need some encouraging words.

"He really looks up to you."

Marco's face softened, and he looked down at the comic book in his lap.

"I don't know, Leo. I just... I want to make sure he's okay, you know? But I don't always know what to do."

"You're doing great, Marco,"

I assured him, wrapping an arm around his shoulders.

"Just keep being there for him, and for Marco too. That's all any of us can do."He leaned into my side, his small frame relaxing against me.

"Thanks, Leo. That means a lot."

"Anytime, piccolo," I replied, squeezing his shoulder gently.

"Now, how about we get some sleep? Tomorrow's another day."

"Okay," Marco agreed, setting the comic book aside.

"Goodnight, Leo."

"Goodnight, Alessio," I said, giving him one last smile before leaving his room.

The next morning:

I woke to the sound of raised voices downstairs, something that immediately set off alarm bells in my head. My heart pounded as I threw on my clothes and rushed down the hall. When I reached Luca's room, my stomach dropped. His crib was empty.

"Luca?"

I called out, my voice laced with panic. There was no response.I tore down the stairs, the fear gripping me tighter with every step. In the foyer, I found Papa standing with one of the staff members, his face pale and strained. Mama was nowhere to be seen.

"Papa, where's Luca?"

I demanded, my voice trembling.Papa turned to me, his eyes filled with a pain that sent chills down my spine.

"Luca's gone, Leo. Your mother... she took him."I stared at him, my mind refusing to process what he was saying.

"What? Where did they go?"

"She left this morning," Papa said, his voice breaking.

"I don't know where they went, but we'll find them."

Massimo appeared on the stairs, looking just as alarmed as I felt.

"Papa, what happened? Where's Luca?" "Mama took him," I repeated, my voice hollow.

"She's gone, and she took Luca with her."Massimo's face drained of color, and he shook his head in disbelief.

"Why? Why would she do that?"

"I don't know,"

Papa said, his voice filled with a helplessness I had never heard from him before.

"But we'll find them. I promise you that."

Ricardo and Alessio joined us in the foyer, their expressions a mix of fear and confusion.

Alessio immediately went to Marco, who was standing frozen in place, his face pale.

"Leo, what's happening?" Ricardo asked, his voice tight with worry.

"Luca's gone," I said, barely able to get the words out.

"Mama took him."

Ricardo's eyes widened, and he exchanged a look with Massimo, who looked like he was on the verge of breaking down.

"We have to find them," Ricardo said urgently.

"We have to bring Luca back."

"We will," Papa said firmly, though the strain in his voice was clear.

"We're going to do everything we can to find them."

As Papa made calls and the house staff began searching for any clue as to where they might have gone, I turned to Marco, who had been standing in stunned silence.

"Marco," I said softly, kneeling down to look him in the eye.

"It's going to be okay. We'll find Luca."

But Marco didn't respond.

He just stood there, his small body trembling as he processed what had happened.

I could see the guilt already starting to creep into his expression, even though I knew he had nothing to do with this.

"I should have... I should have known," Marco whispered, his voice barely audible.

"I should have stopped her."

"No, Mqrco,"

I said firmly, placing my hands on his shoulders.

"No ....No i saw her , I saw her at Luca's room, S-She told me that he was just hungry , I S-should have known , I should Have stopped her" He told me while he was still trembling.

"No ,This isn't your fault. None of this is your fault." I told him.

But he just shook his head, tears welling up in his eyes.

"I... I couldn't do anything."I pulled him into a tight hug, holding him close as he started to cry.

"It's not your fault," I repeated, my voice cracking.

"None of this is your fault."

But as I held him, I knew that those words wouldn't be enough to erase the guilt he was already feeling. We were all struggling to understand what had happened, to make sense of the sudden loss that had torn our family apart.
