"Stay positive"

Drip. Drip. Drip. I keep hearing a constant sound and I feel wet. I'm soaked in water from what I can tell. My eyelids feel heavy but slowly they open.

Looking around I see I am in some type of building? A shed maybe? It must be raining outside because there is water leaking in from the roof.

I hear a cough and I shoot my head to the right. Trying to see through the darkness. "Mom?" My mom is here and she is tied up and hooked to a bar on the wall. "What did you do?"

"I tried to get what I am owed you ungrateful little girl. If you would have just given me that neither of us would be here right now." She was working with the enemy and they have both of us locked in here.

My whole body is sore but my arms are on fire. I try to move but it just burns more. I look up and notice that I'm hanging from a railing. My feet barely touch the ground.

I look back towards my mom. "You did this for money? All of this for money that doesn't even exist." I'm starting to raise my voice. "Mom, dads hospital bills were thousands of dollars a month."

My mom laughs. "You can't lie to me, I knew he had insurance. I know he had money saved for you and that he wouldn't give me any of it even when I asked him. All he ever cared about was you. He gave up on me a long time ago."

What a lie. My father loved her. "That's a load of crap. When dad was dying all he did was call out for you. He cried every night and I had to hold his hand and tell him it was okay. You left us when we needed you and for what? Money?"

My mom doesn't say anything back at first but then she comes back at full force. "I know he had money and now neither of us get to have it. This is all of your fault." There she goes putting everything on my shoulders.

"Mom, the insurance didn't cover everything. At some point they kicked him off of his plan and I had no clue how to fix it. I worked day after day trying to pay for his bills. The money he had saved for me I used for his bills." I yell.

"I know you're lying! How did you buy that shop then huh?" She starts thrashing at the pole trying to pull away. "God damn it this is all your fault Nova."

"I worked hard to get that shop. The rent was low enough that I could afford it. I took out a loan for everything else and had help from people in town for the rest." My body burns at every movement I take.

Tears start falling down my face. Where is Madz? How long have I been here? I hear some noises coming from the door when it slams open. "Oh look who's awake now. Both of them." Tank laughs out.

Tank slowly walks over to my mom and grabs her by the back of her head. Roughly he pulls her face to his. "You better have not been running your mouth in here."

"I didn't say anything important. I just asked her about the money. Why do you have me locked in here? What did I do? We had a plan." My mother says. She sounds scared and she should be.

These men are nothing to mess around with. She should have never teamed up with them. "You really thought we would help you do anything. You were just in for us." Tank laughs out bitterly.

"You need to let me go. Madz will find me and once he does it's over." Tank takes a second to realize what I said and drops my moms face. He walks over to me slowly and looks at me.

"I don't know what he sees in you. I don't see anything but trash. You and your mother." Tanks then takes his fist and punches me in the stomach. I can't move my arms to cover my body and I let out a sob.

"Stop." I mumble out hoping that maybe he will but I know he wont listen to me. This will continue until Madz and his friends find me.

"You really think I'll listen to either of you." Tank laughs. "Men come in here." He yells and the door opens. Different men walking in that I haven't seen before.

Once everyone is in my mom lets out a sob. I don't even glance over at her. This is all her fault. I see Ghost in the back with a wide smile. This is it. Madz isn't going to find me in time. This is how it will end.

I take the time to close my eyes and ignore the pain. Thinking about how my life has been. Everything was in shambles until I moved here. The day Eleanor walked into my shop everything changed.

Then I met Madz. The man I've fallen so hard for and now I wont be able to spend my life with him. I'll never get to see my shop again, I won't get married and I won't be able to have my own family.

I try to stand on my tippy toes and move my arms but it's no use. This gets the men to laugh and Ghost walks forward. "Did you miss me little one? I missed you?" I shiver in his hold.

"Stop touching me." All the men laugh at this and my anger just builds. "You'll be sorry once Madz is here. Him and his club will get rid of all of you."

I don't know where this courage is coming from but if I'm going to die I won't let them take me down easily. I'll continue to fight back. Ghost takes my chain and drops me to the ground.

At first I feel relief then more pain. Ghost takes my arms and yanks me towards his face. "I told you I was going to have fun with you and now it's time."

I don't try to fight back right away. I let him drag me over to a chair. He sets me down and unlocks the chains off of me. My mom looks over at me and I can tell she regrets what she has done. But its too late.

Ghost takes him time walking around the chair with me slumped over. I'm trying to hold myself up but after the explosion and how long I've been hanging for my body is just done.

He continues to walk around me like I'm his next meal. Once he stops he's behind me and I don't even try to lift my head to see what's going to happen next. "Stick to the plan, Ghost." Someone says from the darkness.

I can no longer see my mom. They took her out of the room. She didn't even scream or yell at them to stop what they're doing to me. I knew she didn't like me but I never thought it would have come to this.

Ghost starts petting my head like I'm a dog. All the men walk out of the room and it's just the two of us left. He then walks over to a table that is full of knives and a hammer.

I try to move from my seat but my body just feels so heavy. "Now, now little one. It's my turn to have some fine. This is payback for what Madz did to me."

He pulls a knife out of its covering and walks towards me. Slowly walking around me again. He grabs the back of my hair and cuts it. I try to hold back the tears.

"Well now Madz wont think you are beautiful anymore. I'll make sure you are nothing more than scraps when he arrives. We will be long gone before that." He heads for me again when I hear a shout.

Ghost sets the knife down and walks to the door. "What the fuck." I then hear screaming from the men outside and bangs from what must be a gun.

"Fuck." Ghost looks around but all he has is what's on the table. I guess they took his gun so my death would be slow and painful. He starts to panic and grabs his hair.

"They weren't supposed to fucking find you. How did they get here that fast." That makes me laugh.

"I warned you. I told you that he was coming and none of you listened to me." My head starts to feel heavy again and I slump forwards more. Falling to the floor.

Ghost takes the knife that he was using on me and backs up to the wall. Then the door comes crashing open and I see Tiny. "Fuck Prez. She's in here."

I smile knowing that Madz found me before it was too late. But I can't keep my eyes open anymore. I'm in and out of state when I feel someone grab me softly.

"Baby. I need you to stay awake. I need you to keep those beautiful eyes open for me." I look up and see Madz. He looks so broken.

"You found me." He lets out a breath slowly.

"I will always find you. No matter where you are. But right now I need you to stay awake." My eyes drift shut again. I feel a shake. "No Nova. I'm not losing you. Not ever. Saint get in here now!"

I crack my eyes open. Squinting I can see Madz face. It's blurry but I know it's him. Even if I couldn't see him. I can feel him, smell him. "Is Axel okay?" I cough out.

"Axel is fine sweetheart, now we just need to worry about you. Stay awake." I hear shuffles and someone drops to their knees in front of me.

"Madz she doesn't look good, we have to get her out of here and back to the clubhouse. I can't treat her here. She's soaking wet and needs out of these clothes." I'm slowly lifted into a hold. Madz still has me.

"Madz?" He is still walking.

"Yeah baby?" I try to lean into him as much as I can. Hurt running through my body.

"I love you okay. I want you to remember that." Madz stills and stops walking.

"Stop talking like that, you're going to be okay." I nod my head and Madz carefully runs over to someone's truck. "You gotta stay awake for me. I need you to stay."

"Okay." I fully close my eyes now. "I'm just so tired Madz. My whole body is tired."

"I know you are, we'll be at the clubhouse soon and Saint will take care of you." I try to speak but nothing comes out. I feel Madz body tremble.

"Nova? Nova, you have to wake up!" That's the last thing I hear before I close my eyes for good. I didn't get the life I expected but I'm so glad I met people along the way.
