3 chapters in three days? Isn't that too much?

———————————————————————— Cade "Not just mafia. Bratva is back."

"How long are you going to walk from one side to the other like a mad dog?" I stopped for a moment when Lin spoke, but then I started metering the room with my feet again.

We had been on the top floor of the hotel for two hours waiting for Dean and Mel to show up with our client. And I didn't know what she had planned. Melissa always kept her plans about how she would achieve her goals secret. That's why I was trying to figure out if my wife would be able to do everything perfectly after such a long break?

"Why so nervous?" Lin snorted. "It seems like your wife always knows what to do and how. I wouldn't be surprised if she became a demon. After all, she is married to you." "For God's sake, sister, just shut up." I snapped, stopping and sitting down on the couch next to her. "You don't know anything about my world, even though you're Kirillova too."

My sister lifted her chin and shook her head imperiously. "I didn't want to know. No one even knows I have such a grumpy brother."

"I was the one who paid for your education in Russia, so don't be so ungrateful." I clasped my hands. "I had the right to use your hacking methods."

"But you could have just left Dean in Russia to finish his education and not forced me to lie to him and push him against the wall because his father owes you." "Oh my God...how was I supposed to know you were in love?" I ruffled her hair. "I'm just afraid he'll be upset if he finds out you've been lying to him for ten years."

"Don't you dare." She greedily grabbed my hand so that her nails dug into my skin. "Remind you that since I left, you married a woman who is my age and, what's more, she herself doesn't know how long you lied to her." "I don't care." My hand jerked free. "She already hates me." "And you?" She asked cheerfully. "What?" "And do you hate it?" I remained silent and it spoke louder than any words. "I knew your story would be much more interesting than my books."

I waved her off, making it clear that I simply wanted to keep quiet until they returned. There was a little more to it than wanting to kill her for running away. It was getting on for two in the morning, which meant they would be back soon. That gave me time to come up with a plan for the next time we did this. More precisely, Lin said that Lin would have the full details of the clever case in two weeks.

The two of them left quickly when my sweet wife decided that she was much more than just a pawn in a new chess game and I was left standing there dreaming not about focusing on the mission but about how ideal it would be to pin her against the marble counter in this damn bathroom and fuck her with all the anger that she caused in me.

I can't explain what was happening to my body or mind now, but I felt ready for anything. Even death. Every step felt smooth and strong as I walked across any surface, knowing she was there now. My thoughts weren't muddled by the pain in the back of my head, as they usually were when I tried to focus after she was gone.

I felt electrified. Rejuvenated. Yes, I had only brought her to orgasm twice, leaving me with nothing, but could her orgasm really contribute to my thought process and turn my life upside down again?

It was fucking great oral sex and feeling my wife's warmth again, so yeah, maybe. There was something about those two nights that reminded me of who I was, what I had to offer, and the idea that a woman like Melissa could melt like metal because of me, even if it was just for the rest of her stay, made me act like I was invincible. But also realize the terrifying truth - a king without his queen is powerless.

Obviously it's taken a toll on me. She on the other hand is completely out of it and I'm not sure why because on the surface she acts like she should be. It was her actions that were driving me crazy, her lines written in that letter and I'm playing by her rules knowing full well that Melissa knew how to stop me and didn't. But yesterday there was something I never saw in her eyes before I put her down on the floor. Pain and tears.

I knew that my wife loved to cry in secret, in the dark and so that even someone could not think that her heart is not such a cold heart. I am not even sure if she herself felt how a few tiny tears rolled down her cheeks. It was terrible because now I knew for sure that something had happened to her.

The reason she ran away couldn't have been just because I was an asshole because she lived like that for 5 years. Something turned our lives upside down in a very short time. And the fact that her reaction claimed that behind all this was the same person who madly adores my bank account.

Her fucking rules. They are, without a doubt, the worst I have ever laid down. Don't touch me. Don't question me. Don't try to find out the reason. Now we can enjoy the fact that we will soon deal with the enemy, but only in the dark and exclusively at night, maybe one day, she will reveal herself and the secret if she wants to.

I don't think it's enough. But then again, I worry that nothing will be enough when it comes to Melissa Kirillova, because no matter if I can kiss without feeling our shared canvas or fuck her in our hatred, the fact is she's going to leave me in seven fucking weeks, and then our marriage will officially be over.

"They're here." Lynn says as we both hear the sound of the door opening. I exchanged a look with my sister and we both slowly stood up. "Wow, that looks like fun." I turn my head to where she's looking and see Dean and Mel dragging Daniel who was clearly unconscious.

"What an elephant." Melissa hissed, puffing. I quickly picked up one chair and placed it in the center of the living room. Two quickly reached it and Daniel fell onto the chair with a thud, making a strange grunt. "He clearly needs to go on a diet." My woman in red was breathing heavily and nodded at me. "I hit him in the carotid artery so he'll come to soon and the hotel worker Dean said he was just drunk."

"Tie him up. The rope is on the table and the gun too." She gave me the finger but still started doing what I wanted. "Help her." I said to Lin and turned to Dean. "Come on, we need to talk." He nodded and we moved into the next room so that the women wouldn't hear us. "What exactly was she doing?" I asked immediately. "Nothing like that. I got into the VIP room thanks to one man and then I seduced Daniel himself and here we are."

My blood ran cold and I snapped my jaw shut. "I just need an answer to one question, Dean." "Which one?" "He touched her?" "What I saw..." The boy swallowed. "Yes." That's all I needed to know that this bastard was going to die eventually.

"You were brave." I patted him on the shoulder. "Take Lin and go to the penthouse." "Do you need help?" "Oh no." I grinned crookedly like the devil. "That bastard is mine."

After my sister left with Dean, we continued to wait for our Sleeping Beauty to wake up. She was sitting on a chair opposite him, and I was standing next to her right side. The gun was greedily pressing on my side, and my hands were already itching to kill this man who decided that his vile hands could touch what was mine.

Melissa, on the other hand, was calm and sat with her legs crossed, her gun openly slung across her lap and a shiny knife twirling in her graceful fingers. "So...Lin, she is Linda Kirillova." Her words caught me off guard. "I never would have thought that you had a sister."

My fingers tightened on the back of her chair and I glanced down, realizing that she had already thrown her head back, watching me with interest. "How did you know?" "Alex." "What the hell is he doing again?" "I need his protection. Not yours, my dear husband." Mel snorted and smiled brightly at me. "So much lies in our marriage." "You're not the only one hiding relatives." I broke our eye contact when Daniel groaned loudly and stirred. "Finally."

His eyes opened and for a moment he tried to understand what was happening. His foggy gaze wandered around the room but when it stopped on us his pupils dilated and his eyes opened even too wide.

"Morning, baby." Mel's voice was both gentle and sarcastic. "Did you get enough sleep?" "Who are you?" He asked with a nervous breath, twitching in the hope of freeing himself. "Are you... the ones from the mafia?" "Oh, how sweet... you heard Roma? They were talking about us." My heart stopped a little when after so much time she called me by my real name. "Only we are not just mafia. We are bratva."

"But...I...I don't have any more money." He muttered quickly as she stood up, towering over him. "Really?" She waved her knife furiously near his nose. "Just tell me two numbers and maybe then I'll be nicer." "I don't know anything, I..." His words were cut off when Mel stabbed him in the stomach with all her might. To the beautiful sounds of pain, I sat down on the chair and with a forged smile bowed my head, enjoying the show, taking her gun in the hands she left. "Wrong answer." Her fingers pressed harder, twisting him. "Speak, or I might as well enjoy your pain all night long."

"She... Said not to tell." His face turned pale and his words were no longer as clear. "Wow, so it's a woman." Melissa laughed. "That's why we're more to be feared than men." He screamed as she pulled the blade out with equal force, opening the wound. "But don't worry...I'll protect you. Just tell me the numbers." There was something so firm and confident in her voice that we both immediately noticed the defeat on his face.

"The last two. My last two digits." He croaked. "Five and nine." "Good boy." She patted his cheek and then her fingers closed on his short hair, jerking his head away sharply. "And yes, sometimes try to think with your brain and not your dick because as you can see, you can find yourself in a very dangerous situation." She turned her body towards me. "Okay, I'm done thinking I can ask him about who contacted him and..." I interrupted her speech, grabbing her wrist, pulling her towards me.

With a small scream or half squeak, her ass was on my lap. One hand pressed to her waist and the other clutched the gun that was pointed at Daniel. Just one bullet, the smell of gunpowder and the feeling of a perfect outcome when his body relaxed in the chair and life left him.

"It was stupid to kill him just because you're a jealous psychopath!" She finally broke the silence. I was covered in his blood even if no one could see it, moved a little closer to her and grinned. "Remember when I asked for your opinion? Me neither. I know what to do when it comes to my woman without others." And I know that I will have the same thoughts even after our divorce.
