Snow’s Point of View

The last bell rang, signaling the end of classes for the day. I packed up my things slowly, the headache that had been nagging me all day still refusing to let up. My steps were sluggish as I made my way to the parking lot, hoping my brothers wouldn’t take too long.

I spotted our car parked near the edge of the lot, but my attention was drawn elsewhere.

A familiar figure stood next to a sleek black car across the way, his tall frame unmistakable even from a distance.

“Is that Kingston?” I mumbled to myself, narrowing my eyes to get a better look.

Sure enough, it was him. He looked just as composed as ever, leaning against the car with his hands in his pockets, the tattoo on his neck peeking out from beneath his collar.

My first instinct was to go over to him, to ask him why he was here. But before I could take a step, my eyes caught movement.

Nia was walking in his direction.

My heart sank slightly, confusion bubbling to the surface. She didn’t look surprised to see him. In fact, she walked right past him, heading for the backseat of the car. Kingston shook his head at her as she climbed in, a faint smirk on his lips, but he didn’t say anything.

“Huh?” I muttered, tilting my head.

What was that?

Were they... dating? My stomach twisted slightly at the thought, though I wasn’t sure why.

I shook my head quickly, trying to clear the idea from my mind, but the sudden movement made the pounding in my skull even worse. I winced, hissing softly as I pressed my fingers against my temples.

“I really need to go back to the doctor,” I muttered under my breath. These headaches weren’t normal, and they were starting to get in the way of everything.

“Little sis?”

The familiar voice snapped me out of my thoughts, and I turned to see Karsten standing a few feet away with Zino and Dimitrios close behind.

“You good?” Karsten asked, his brow furrowing as he stepped closer.

I didn’t answer right away, instead walking toward him and wrapping my arms around his waist. The warmth of his embrace was comforting, but it also made me realize just how tired and drained I felt.

“Your body’s hot,” Dimitrios said, his voice tinged with concern as he placed a hand on my forehead.

“Fever?” Karsten asked, leaning down to look me in the eyes.

“I don’t know,” I mumbled, my voice barely above a whisper. “Can we just get home now?”

The worry on their faces deepened, but they didn’t push. Karsten helped me into the car, Zino sliding in beside me while Dimitrios got into the front seat.

As we drove home, I leaned my head against the cool glass of the window, trying to ignore the pounding in my head and the nagging question in my mind.

Why was Nia with Kingston?

Merry Christmas everyone 🌚💕
