AUTHOR'S POV:

Kiara rushed towards Sofia, her eyes wide with concern. "Is everything okay? What's happening?"

Naira rolled her eyes. "Are you blind or what? She's in labor, you idiot!"

Alina, who had just entered the room, scolded them both. "Will you both please be quiet or else get out of the room. She needs peace."

Naira and Kiara exchanged sheepish glances, immediately falling silent. They knew Alina was right. Sofia needed all the peace and quiet she could get right now.

"Ansh! Please... do something! I can't take this anymore!" she cried, her voice raw with pain and desperation. The scream echoed through the room, sending shivers down everyone's spines.

"Shh..shhhh, it's alright," Ansh whispered, his voice thick with emotion. He gently stroked her hair, trying to soothe her.

"You're doing amazing. Just breathe with me, okay?" He took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly, guiding her to do the same. "Inhale... exhale... that's it. You're doing it."

He held her close, his arms a comforting shield against the onslaught of pain. "I'm here. I won't let anything happen to you."

Naira and Kiara stared at Ansh, their eyes wide with a mix of disbelief and shock.

Kiara leaned towards Naira and whispered, "Did you just see that?"

Naira nodded, her jaw slack.

"I can't believe it," Kiara murmured. "He's actually going to be a father."

Naira, still in a state of disbelief, pinched Kiara's arm.

Kiara yelped, rubbing her arm. "Ouch! What the fuck are you doing?" she demanded.

Naira simply grinned. "Just making sure I wasn't dreaming," she replied.

Kiara, pinched Naira back "Try it on yourself!" she retorted.

Naira winced, rubbing her arm. "'Ouch!" Then, she grinned mischievously. "Imagine him feeding the baby with milk bottles."

Kiara giggled. "And changing diapers" she added, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

Naira chuckled. "Well, he will have an army of nannies for that."

Ansh was completely lost in Sofia, his gaze fixed on her so he was oblivious to the conversation going between them.

Meanwhile, Mallika and Alina exchanged a look, their hands crossed over their chests and their eyes were narrowed at Kiara and Naira. Mallika's voice cut through the air, sharp and commanding, "Girls! Get out! Right now!"

Kiara and Naira, startled by Mallika's sudden outburst, they existed the room quickly.

Just then, Leo burst into the room, "The ambulance is here!" he announced breathlessly.

Ansh gently supported Sofia as she slowly got to her feet. He held her close, his hand firmly on her back for support.

As they reached the ambulance, they saw Kiara and Naira already inside, their faces a mixture of excitement and anticipation.

"Come on, fast!" Kiara urged, seeing Sofia and Ansh coming towards them, her voice filled with excitement.

Alina stepped forward, her expression stern. "Hold on a minute, girls. Not everyone can fit in the ambulance. We're going in the car. Now, come on out."

"No way, Alina," Naira protested, her voice firm. "I don't know anything, I'm going with Sofia."

Alina's eyes narrowed. "This is not a picnic, guys. Understand the situation. This is an emergency. We also need to make enough space for the doctors "

"But..." Naira began, but Alina cut her off.

"No buts, Naira. You can see her at the hospital. Now, please, step aside."

Kiara, with a pout, said, "If it's about making enough space, then take Ansh in the car. He would probably take more space than both of us combined."

Naira nodded in agreement. "Yeah, you're right. He's a giant man."

They both saw Ansh standing in front of them, holding Sofia. His expressions were a warning for them; he looked so pissed.

They didn't try to test him further, quickly jumping off the ambulance in unison.

Ansh smirked, "Good girls."

Sofia, despite the waves of pain that were crashing over her, couldn't help but chuckle. The scene unfolding before her were hilarious.

Kiara and Naira, walked towards the car where Leo was leaning against it, his arms crossed over his chest as he suppressed a laugh. "Good girls," he mimicked Ansh, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Such good girls, following orders like obedient puppies." He chuckled, shaking his head.

Naira rolled her eyes, "Oh, shut up, Leo. We were just excited."

"Excited to see a baby being born?" Leo raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in his eyes.

Kiara scoffed, "Of course not. We just wanted to be there for Sofia. Okay?"

"Sure, sure," Leo said, not entirely convinced. "But I wouldn't be surprised if you two were already planning your own baby showers."

Naira and Kiara exchanged a look, then burst into laughter.

"Don't even joke about it, Leo," Naira said, wiping a tear from her eye. "I'm not ready for that kind of responsibility."

"Me neither," Kiara agreed. "I'm still enjoying my freedom."

Leo grinned, "Come on, let's get in. Alina is already waiting."

He opened the car door for Naira and Kiara, and they both climbed in. As they drove off, Leo shook his head. "You really thought Ansh would allow you both in the ambulance? Unwanted headache."

He chuckled, enjoying their shocked expressions. "Don't worry, you'll get to see Sofia soon enough."

Naira and Kiara exchanged a look, speechless. They had to admit, Leo was right. Ansh wouldn't have allowed them.

On the other hand, In the ambulance, Sofia was going crazy, she squeezed Ansh's hand so tightly, till her knuckles turned white.

"Ansh!" she screamed, her voice raw with pain and desperation. "I don't think I can make it!"

Ansh held her hand, his eyes filled with concern. "Yes, you can, You're almost there, just a bit more"

"Can't you understand I said no? Always trying to dominate me!" Sofia screamed at him, her voice laced with fury.

The ambulance erupted in stunned silence. The paramedics, the driver, and even Mallika, who were in the ambulance , stared at Sofia in shock. Ansh, looked offend. He opened his mouth to speak, but Sofia cut him off.

"Don't," she hissed, her voice trembling. "Don't try to explain. Just... just let me."

Sofia screamed again, a raw, primal sound tearing from her throat. The pain was unbearable. She squeezed Ansh's hand so tightly, digging her nails into his skin.

"Ansh!" she cried, her voice hoarse. "Why is it so hard...why?"

Ansh, wincing from her grip, held her hand firmly, his eyes filled with concern. "A few more minutes and we are done."

Sofia began, "You won't understand you don't have to push off the baby from your di...."

Before she could complete her sentence, she realized others were also in the ambulance. Her cheeks flushed crimson with embarrassment. She quickly clamped her mouth shut.

Ansh, his face burning, covered his eyes with his hand, a low groan escaping his lips. Mallika, ever the composed one, simply raised an eyebrow, while the paramedics exchanged amused glances.

"I... I'm so sorry," she mumbled, her voice barely audible.

Ansh heard her apology, but he didn't bother to reply. He was still recovering from her previous outburst.

The ambulance screeched to a halt in front of the hospital, the paramedics rushing Sofia inside. They wheeled her into a brightly lit delivery room, the sterile smell of antiseptic filling the air.

"We'll need the husband in," the doctor said, his voice calm and reassuring.

Ansh hesitated, a wave of apprehension washing over him. He was terrified of seeing Sofia in pain, to see her popping out a baby. But he knew he had to be there for her. He took a deep breath and nodded, following the doctor into the room.

Sofia lay on the hospital bed, her face pale but determined. She looked at him, a small, apologetic smile playing on her lips.

"I'm sorry for that...." she whispered, her voice weak.

Ansh smiled gently, taking her hand in his. "It's okay...."
