Ira waited for Karna in her room. When Karna arrived, they set out to meet Karna's family. This was the scene the Pandavas encountered when they came to retrieve Arjun's dagger, seeing two figures at the end of the pathway. Rajkumar Yudhishthira asked a servant where Ira and Angraj Karna were going and when they would return. The servant replied that they were going to meet Angraj's family and did not mention when they would be back. Nakula excused the servant and then turned to his brothers, suggesting, "Since we have nothing to do at the moment, why don't we go around Hastinapur and check on our people? It will help us understand our kingdom better, especially when Jyesth becomes Yuvaraj."
The brothers agreed, and they decided to explore Hastinapur in disguise. Thus, they set out on their adventure.
As Karna and Ira entered the market area, they began by buying some fruits and sweets. Ira insisted on buying them because her Mata had taught her never to visit anyone empty-handed. Their aura and grace drew a lot of attention, so to avoid disrupting the daily lives of the people, Ira asked Karna to take her to a local shop to buy a normal dress to blend in.
As they walked in the direction of the shop, Karna shared stories about the places he used to visit as a child and his favorite memories. Ira listened intently. They eventually reached a small house that radiated warmth and comfort. Karna knocked on the door, and it was opened by his younger brother, Shon. Shon was shocked to see a small girl with his brother. Even in her normal attire, she looked regal, and he was momentarily frozen with surprise, unable to respond to her questions.
Radha, hearing the commotion, came out to see who had arrived. Upon seeing Ira, she ran forward and hugged her, a gesture that Ira warmly reciprocated.
Soon, Adhiratha arrived, and the family shared a warm, heartening meal together. As they talked about small but meaningful things, the cozy atmosphere made Ira sleepy, especially since she had gone to bed late the night before. Being in a child's body, she simply drifted off, resting her head on Radha Mata's lap and falling asleep within moments.
Despite Karna reassuring them multiple times that they needn't worry about their caste status, as Ira judged only by heart, they were still anxious about meeting her. However, seeing the Rajkumari, who was said to be the apple of everyone's eye, sleep so comfortably without any special requests or demands, like she was at home, brought tears to Radha's eyes. Just as a tear was about to fall, Shon wiped it away, placing his head on the other side of his mother's lap. He looked at Ira and silently promised to protect these two precious women in his life with everything he had. Soon, he too fell into a dreamless sleep.
After making sure they were in a deep sleep, Radha stood up to prepare something for them to eat when they woke up. Karna's father asked if he knew of any plan Ira had made against Gandharaj because of the elephant incident. Karna, with a smirk, replied, "You will know tomorrow what Ira will do if they make a move against what she holds dear," looking like a proud father.
Radha came out and shared her plan to make her signature sweet, jalebi, for Ira and the others. She asked Karna to look after Shon and Ira while they were sleeping. Karna sat in the corner and started making arrows for Ira, as she loved to play with them by hitting targets in the distance.
As Ira and Shon woke up from their nap, they were greeted by the sweet smell of jalebi. Ira's sleepiness vanished instantly, and she started following Radha Mata, eager to get some jalebi. Adhiratha noticed and asked her what she was doing. Ira, with an innocent and sweet expression, replied, "I'm following Radha Mata to get some jalebi," and continued to trail behind her as if she were a lost puppy trying very hard to reunite with her mother.
As Radha saw this, she told Ira to wash her face first and then sit at the table if she wanted the sweet. Ira promptly obliged, washing her face and then sitting at the table, looking at Radha Mata with eyes that said, "I did all you asked, when will I get the sweet?" Seeing her reaction, once again suitable for her age, Karna's heart warmed. Since he had known Ira, he could count on one hand the times she had acted like a child. Looking at her now, he could only think of a puppy; if she had a tail, it would be wagging like crazy, and her ears would be perked up. He mentally imagined Ira with a wagging tail, eagerly looking at the jalebi with longing eyes.
As Radha gave them the sweet, Karna saw pure bliss on Ira's face as her eyes lit up with joy. He offered his own sweet to her, which she accepted and started to eat. When others saw the happiness on her face, Adhiratha signaled Radha to pack the remaining sweets so Ira could take them to the palace and eat them whenever she wanted. Shon took only one piece of jalebi and gave the rest to Radha Mata, saying, "I can eat it whenever I want, but she can't, so give it to her." Ira was immersed in the joy of jalebi before her.
As evening approached, they started to move towards the palace on Karna's horse.
After arriving at the palace, Ira utilized her spy system, "Shadows," named after the underworld organization from her previous lifetime, to gather information and plan an attack on the Gandhar Kingdom. Her goal was to force Shakuni to return to Gandhar so she could deal with him without disturbing human settlements. After giving orders to her spies, she instructed Meera on the necessary tasks and proceeded to roam around the Hastinapur palace, familiarizing herself with its design and layout.
As she roamed, she came across the red rose garden in the palace. From one look, she could tell the hard work the das and dasis put into maintaining it, with all the roses in various stages of budding and blooming. Dressed in yellow and orange, she stood out among the sea of red. She moved towards the artificial pond in the middle and took a seat to get a better look at the nature in front of her, relishing the rare peace she was afforded.
As a person with memories of a previous life and the advantage of modern thinking, Ira always made her moves strategically, far ahead of her opponents. She was constantly thinking of ways to change the tragic fate of numerous warriors. Despite being seen as a great genius by others, only Ira knew the immense effort it took to live in an era like this. Habits that were innocuous in her previous life now felt forbidden. For instance, she had the habit of crossing her legs when sitting, which was considered a mistake in this period. To avoid attracting attention, she always wore lehenga cholis to conceal her legs. Meera always carried a fruit basket or something else to place on Ira's lap to discreetly remind her without others noticing, as Ira was under constant supervision by those eager to see her downfall due to her popularity.
As Ira sat by the pond, she took out a jalebi and started to eat it while looking at the roses. The sweet taste of the jalebi and the beauty of the garden provided a rare moment of relaxation for her. Her mind, usually always working, allowed her a brief respite as she enjoyed the peace and the simple pleasure of the sweet.
On the other side, the Pandavas returned from their disguised tour and gathered in their mother's room. They spent the whole day outside, fooling and teasing each other, and answering their mother's questions about the condition of the people in Hastinapur. As the sky began to darken, Kunti announced she was heading to the kitchen to oversee the food preparations, as guests from other kingdoms were present and special meals were required.
The princes decided to head to their rooms to rest after a long day of roaming. As they walked along the pavement, Bhima suddenly stopped and sniffed the air, quickly followed by Nakul. "It smells like they are making jalebi," Nakul remarked. Bhima, however, corrected him, "The kitchen isn't that way; it's the garden. How is the smell coming from there? Let's check it out. Besides, I'm hungry," he declared and started towards the garden.
The brothers, concerned about another poison incident, decided to follow Bhima to ensure everything was safe. Upon reaching the garden, they were greeted by the sight of Ira. Dressed in yellow and orange, she stood out among the sea of red roses. Bhima pointed out, "The smell is coming from her," as they watched her take another bite of the sweet. Bhima, with a satisfied grin, said, "See, my nose never lies about food," while looking at Ira, who was munching on her jalebi, seemingly oblivious to her surroundings.
Seeing that she was alone, Nakul suggested to his brothers, "Let's go and also ask about Bharta Arjun's dagger," to which Bhima readily agreed. As they approached Ira, she heard rustling behind her and turned around to face the Pandavas. "Pranam," she greeted them while thinking, How did they find me? Does God really not want me to have peace?
The Pandavas reciprocated her greeting, and Nakul soon asked, "Don't you think it's good manners to share food instead of eating it alone?" This answered her question of how they had found her. Silently apologizing to the gods for doubting them, she smiled and shook her head. "I wanted to share it with you all, and I have no problem sharing with Rajkumar Yudhishthira. But for the rest of you, I think you might have a problem with it. Since I know you, all won't take the sweet if I offer it, to avoid making Rajkumar's Hastinapur mad at me, it's wise if I don't offer you sweets, right? As of now, I am staying in your place, so I concluded not to give any sweet and eat it by myself," she explained, continuing to eat while looking at them.
Hearing what Ira said, Rajkumar Nakul asked, "What do you mean Jyesth will accept it and we will not? We always do what our Jyesth says, and if he has no problem, why would we?" Arjun chimed in, "You're just saying that to eat everything yourself without giving us any." Bhima joined in, saying, "Yes, little girls shouldn't eat too many sweets. It's not good for health, but we have big hearts and don't want to see you get sick. We're only helping you."
"So, what you're saying is, no matter what, you will help me finish it, right?" Ira confirmed with a smirk. She then turned to Yudhishthira and said, "You heard what your brothers said. I didn't force them to say anything; they willingly offered to help me finish the sweets. You witnessed it all, and I believe you, as you always choose truth over everything."
Ira continued, "Today I went to Angraj's house, and his mata made these sweets for me. Now that you all have volunteered to help me finish them, so I don't get sick, please go ahead. How noble of you! You all have the brave hearts of warriors, always ready to protect others with everything you have. I admire that mentality. Why are you all looking at me? I know I am a unique kind of beauty, but don't you think it's rude? Now, come on and help me finish the sweets, as they were made with a mother's love."
