Hi guys. I'm Back.. There's a lot to talk about but anyways let's continue with the story.
****************************************
The children shouldn't have been there. The girl knew it. The Boy knew it too. And yet here they were.
Their mother had warned them never to wander into the deep forest. Yet here they were, standing in the middle of a vast clearing, their tiny figures swallowed by towering trees and the endless shadows of the terrifying rogue forest.
"I'm telling Mom," the girl hissed, gripping her brother’s sleeve as some unfortunate animal raced beside nearly tripping her.
"Scaredy-cat." The boy smirked and shook her off.
He pointed to the ball lying a few feet away, its bright red surface standing out against the grass.
"Beta said he saw it here. It’s fine."
"It’s not fine! Mom said...."
"And the Beta said it was safe." He crossed his arms and glared, daring her to argue. "Who’s right? Mom or him?"
She glared back. With a loud huff, he sprinted forward and grabbed the ball before she could protest. When he returned, triumphant, she huffed back.
"There. Now let’s go."
"Not yet," he said, tossing the ball up and catching it. His eyes gleamed with excitement. "Look how big this field is. Just like the ones on TV. Let’s play here."
"No way!"
"Are you scared?" She bristled.
"No!"
"Then prove it." And she did.
Kicking the ball back at him, she ran, laughing, her worries temporarily forgotten. The children played around for a bit, enjoying their self in the forest.
"Can I play too?" The children stopped. The girl grabbed her brother’s arm instinctively, heart hammering.
A very beautiful woman came out of the opposite path that led out of the pack.
"Mom said not to talk to strangers."
"Not even if the stranger has chocolates?" The woman held up a gloved hand. A bar of chocolate sat on her palm, gleaming under the moonlight.
The boy hesitated. Then he grinned. "Mom won’t know."
"Yes she will."
"How?"
"Cause I'll tell her."
"No you won't!"
The girl shook her head. "Bluey no, we have to go!"
But it was too late. Her brother had already snatched up the chocolate. She watched, horrified, as he bit into it. When nothing happened, she stared at the woman with big wondrous eyes.
The woman smiled and offered another. The girl wanted to run. She should have. Instead, she reached out.
The woman’s hand closed around hers. Agony. Pain. A lot of Pain.
Her body stiffened as something cold and sharp burrowed into her skin. She gasped out a sob painfully as the warmth drained from her little body.
A crushing, suffocating pressure wrapped around her, pulling—sucking—ripping out the life from her.
Her brother screamed as he attacked the woman trying to free his sister. His body convulsed, twisting unnaturally, his eyes rolling back with the life leaving his body. The woman moaned in pleasure.
The children shriveled, their small forms collapsing inward like dying flowers. Their skin turned grey. Their lips cracked blue with spots of red. Their eyes, once full of life, turned to empty, sunken hollows. And soon they were nothing but little bags of skeleton and body forms.
The woman exhaled with glowing skin. Kids were always so delicious. She licked her lips, sighing in satisfaction. "Delicious."
Taking one last look at the children, she waited for the bout of sympathy and guilt to hit her. Nothing.
She was but a monster. Kneeling down she closed the bit of skin that once houses their eyes and whispered.
"Such a shame. You really should have listened to your mother."
"You never change, do you?" A voice called out.
She turned slowly. A cloaked man emerged from the trees. His sharp blue eyes flickered from the corpses to her. "The two of them? You’re getting sloppy."
She smiled. "Oh, My darling Beta, you wound me."
His jaw tightened. "I’ve paid my debt to you. We’re done."
She arched a brow. "Are we?"
"You have power even more than some Alphas. You feed on a constant meal of werewolves regardless of age or gender. Whatever you want, I gave. I've given you everything."
She laughed. "Not everything. You forgot the child." His body went rigid. "There was no child."
"You’re lying."
"You abandoned her, tried to kill her" he growled. "I saved her."
"And now I want her back."
"Well you're too late. She’s dead."
The woman’s eyes flashed. She raised a hand and suddenly the air shifted. A mirror materialized between them swirling with darkness before revealing a woman. Glorious white hair flowed down her back, her eyes fierce, unyielding as she trained with a sword. She looked nothing like a helpless child. More of a certain Alpha. The Poison Rose.
The Beta paled. "But...she...she said she wasn't.."
"Enough."
The woman stepped closer in amusement . "You never were a good liar, Solice."
He swallowed hard, his heart pounding against his ribs. "She’s mine," the woman whispered. "And you, my dear Beta, belong to me."
His stomach twisted. "I can't help you."
"Can’t?" Her lips curled. "Or won’t?"
The magic came swiftly. Chains of unseen force wrapped around him and yanked him to his knees. His breath hitched as an icy grip clawed into his chest. "Please," he gasped. "Don’t..."
She sighed. "Men. Always so weak without all of the Talk."
Her hand touched his face, trailing down to his throat. He trembled powerlessly at her mercy.
He was hers and she knew it herself.
"Where’s the fun in making this easy?" She pressed her lips to his. His body arched as the familiar fire spread through his veins. His body knew hers so well h could draw it out on the sand. His mind clouded, drowning in the spellbinding touch. His cloak fell down as he deal tried to free himself of it. Then she pulled back.
"You never learn, Beta."
"I...." His voice cracked. She tightened her grip. "I think it’s time I found someone more...useful."
Panic shot through him. "I’ll get her! I swear!"
She tilted her head, considering. "Kneel." He was already on his knees. "Crawl."
Humiliation burned through him as he obeyed, inching closer like a loyal dog. He was after all her loyal Dog. She laughed and bent down to kiss his cheek.
"Such a good boy you are, Solice. But sadly that's not enough for me anymore" Then the pain came.
That was the last thing he saw before darkness took him.
Smiling wickedly she looked over the bodies she was leaving at her wake and shook her head. To think she has fought so much against the idea of feeding.
" Bye guys. I have to leave now. I have to get back to the Pack. Yeah I know, I have a pack and I mustn’t keep my Alpha Female waiting. That is quite rude."
