She walks out of roll call and goes over to Tim.
T: What did he want?
L: Just letting me know he's there if I need anything. I'll go grab the war bags. Meet you at the shop?
T: Yeah sure.
When she goes to grab the bags she sees James, the new rookie, grabbing his.
J: Hey Lucy. Haven't seen you since forever.
L: Yeah.
J: Any tips on how to get on Officer Nolan's good side?
L: Oh uh just don't be annoying I guess? He's really nice. Though if you want more details ask Celina, she was his previous rookie. You should probably go, he might be mad if you take too long.
J: Yeah good idea, see you later.
He glances down at Lucy's arm, noticing a few faint bruises but decided not to comment on it. He quickly goes over to the garage where John is waiting. John starts going through the usual, "this is a shop", "Check for any dents...". Lucy goes over to where her and Tim's shop is parked and loads in the bags before getting in. Soon enough everyone's out the station and driving around on patrol.
T: So what's your deal with Webb? How'd you know him?
L: James is an ex from highschool. We ended in good terms though.
T: Oh right.
L: Is someone getting jealous?
She teases
T: No
L: You get annoyed so easily.
T: Just shut up and let me drive.
L: Yes sir.
T: I-
Over in John's shop, him and his new rookie seemed to be doing ok. Well, so far James (Might start putting him as W during convos) hadn't made a mistake. Not yet.
W: Sir could I ask a question?
J: Go ahead.
W: I noticed some faint bruises on Lu- Officer Chen. Can I ask what happened to her?
J: I'm assuming you heard about Rosalind, Caleb, and what they did to people.
W: Yeah it was horrible... I heard Lucy was one of the victims... what does that have to do with what happened to her now though?
J: A guy called Ray, kidnapped her while she and Sgt. Bradford were on an undercover op. Put her through a very similar experience. Happened about 3 weeks ago, today's her first day back since then.
W: Oh my gosh... is she ok?
J: Physically yes. Mentally, it's brought back all the trauma from last time for her. She's been staying with Tim and he's been helping her work through it.
W: They dating?
J: No, but we really shouldn't be talking about personal life while on the job.
W: Right. Sorry.
In Celina and Aaron's shop things seem to be going well.
C&A: (singing) Cop cuties, cute and on duty, navy blue booties, go ahead and lock me up...
