4 hours. That was the time that passed since Lucy passed out, got taken in an ambulance and rushed into surgery. That was time Tim and the others had spent worrying about her. The was number of hours passed while they got no answers or what happened. No answers on how she is. No answers on if she's dying. All they knew is she wasn't dead. Not yet anyways.
C: Tim you seem really worried? Did Lucy tell you something that would worry you? About why this could have happened.
T: This morning when she was changing I saw she found out Ray tattooed a new DOD onto her. It was smudged a bit so she couldn't tell what the proper date says but we know it's a date that hasn't passed yet. No doubt she's been worrying about it all day. Don't know if that's the reason but her being stressed wouldn't help it.
A: You walked in on her changing?
T: Yeah we're dating again.
J: So that's why you're so worried...
W: Again?
T: We dated a while ago then I sorta broke up with her.
W: You're lucky she took you back. She's a great girl.
T: Yeah she is. Why'd you guys break up anyways? Loose feelings?
W: It was when she decided she was set on being a cop. Her parents you know, weren't really that supportive and she just said she wasn't in the right place to be in a relationship. After that we were friends and all but kind of drifted apart.
Those words seemed to hit Tim hard. It was almost the same reason Tim broke up with Lucy the first time around. The silence is broken by the sound of Tim's phone ringing, its Grey. He picks up.
T: Hello?
G: Any news on Lucy?
T: Nothing.
G: This has got to be the worst timing but I've been called to an emergency meeting, I'm going to need you to come back to the station as acting watch commander for a while.
T: Oh. Yeah... Uhm I'll be there soon.
G: I've called the other stations and one of them has someone heading down who will take your role once they get there so you can get back to Lucy. It will be at least 6 hours though.
T: Thank you sir.
The call ends and Tim gets up.
T: Any updates, anything, call me.
He heads back to the station while the others sit in the hospital anxiously waiting for their friend.
