Warning: A short chapter!

Athena's eyes opened slowly. She stared at the white ceiling above her blankly, feeling a weird sort of strangeness in her chest.

Why does her head hurt so much?

She winced and turned to look around the room, remembering what happened earlier.

It was all white, like an ordinary hospital room.

She heard some footsteps approaching her. She instinctively looked in the direction of the door.

She was expecting her cousins but an unfamiliar face of a nurse greeted her.

She was shocked for a moment, seeing Athena awake.

"Umm... You are awake?"

Athena blinked.

The nurse approached her, almost cautiously.

"How are you feeling? Not gonna lie, you are awake much sooner than we expected." The nurse stood in front of her and observed Athena carefully.

"Wh-" Athena wanted to speak but the Nurse stopped her.

"Don't stress yourself. I mean we do not really see much of someone falling from the seventh floor and escape with minor injuries."

Her words confused Athena.

What?

Seventh floor?

"The doctor will be here in few minutes. Just what were you thinking jumping from the building?" The nurse muttered the last sentence under her breath but Athena heard her.

Jumping from the building?

Athena was getting more and more confused.

When did I do that?

The last memory she had was that of her getting shot.

A minute later, the door opened and a doctor entered.

"Miss Athena....You are awake."

Athena nodded.

"Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?" He asked as he checked her vitals.

"My head hurts really bad."

"This is normal. I will prescribe you some pain killers. All you need to do is get as much as rest you can."

Athena nodded.

"Umm where is my family?" Athena asked.

The notepad in Nurse's hand fell at Athena's words.

She apologized nervously and left.

The doctor looked a little uncomfortable at her question too.

"Umm your cousin, Mr. Vittorio was here earlier. He left not long ago...Don't worry. We will inform him that you are awake." Saying this, the doctor left.

Athena stared at the door closed. Her eyes inadvertently fell on her hand. Her pupils dilated.

She lifted her hand and inspected it briefly.

Where did her scar go?

Could it have faded when she was unconscious?

But from that nurse's words, she was not unconscious for long.

Just like this, several hours went by.

No-one from her family came to visit her. Athena thought that they must be busy.

The same nurse entered the room again with Athena's dinner.

She helped Athena in sitting up.

"Has any of my cousins come?" Athena asked curiously.

The nurse shook her head with a blank look on her face.

Athena sighed, a little worried and displeased.

After dinner, the nurse left after giving her medicines. Athena laid down on the bed and fell asleep not longer after.

The nurse had given her a sleeping medicine.

As Athena slept soundlessly, the door of the room opened and a familiar figure stepped inside.

The figure stared at the sleeping girl for a minute before a scoff was heard and whoever it was left.

Athena opened her eyes slightly.

"Romeo..." She whispered as she fell into a deep slumber again.
