Swish!
Feng Liang snapped his head to the side, his eyes glaring at Ye Chen with the intent to devour him whole.
If Zhang Jingshan had said something like that to him, Feng Liang might not have dared to respond so boldly. But a lowly nobody? A piece of trash? Daring to talk to him like that?
His murderous gaze locked onto Ye Chen for several seconds. Suddenly, he grabbed a bottle of liquor from the table.
"What the hell are you doing!?"
Thinking Feng Liang was about to smash the bottle on Ye Chen's head, Zhang Jingshan and Li Changfeng, as if triggered by some hidden reflex, immediately sprang into action, standing in front of Ye Chen.
Zhang Jingshan roared angrily, "What are you trying to pull!?"
"Hahaha! Look at you two, scared out of your wits!" Feng Liang cackled sinisterly. "Relax, I'm just thirsty and want a drink. Is that so scary? Hahaha!"
With that chilling laugh, Feng Liang brought the bottle of foreign liquor to his lips and started chugging.
Yes, this lunatic started guzzling straight from the bottle!
Nearly half of the large bottle was gone in one go.
"Ahhh... Refreshing! So satisfying!" Feng Liang exhaled, the twisted grin on his face widening. Then, he shoved the half-empty bottle toward a young woman at the table—a music conservatory student who, in Ye Chen's past life, had triggered a bloody tragedy.
"Here, drink it all in one go!" he ordered.
"F-Feng Shao... I..." The girl was terrified.
Half the bottle, undiluted and straight? Even sipping it slowly would be impossible, let alone downing it all at once.
"You mother**er! I said drink! Don't you understand human language!?" Feng Liang screamed hysterically, losing all sense of reason.
"Feng Shao, Xiao Yun—"
Before the girl's friend could finish her plea for mercy, Feng Liang kicked her in the stomach. "Did I give you permission to speak?!"
The poor girl cried out in pain, clutching her stomach. Fortunately, she had been sitting on a sofa with a backrest; otherwise, she might have been sent flying.
"Well? Are you drinking or not?!" Feng Liang roared at the terrified Xiao Yun.
"I-I'll drink..." Trembling with fear, Xiao Yun reluctantly took the bottle.
"Tch, sluts these days, they're only obedient after you teach them a lesson. Hehe..."
His grotesque chuckle sent shivers down everyone's spine. He ran his hands through his hair, then tilted his head back and took a deep sniff, like a drug addict getting his fix.
Feng Liang then reached into his pocket and pulled out two sets of keys. "The car's parked outside. The house? It's in Building 13, Apartment 2003, at Dijingyuan!"
Shoving past Zhang Jingshan and Li Changfeng, he slapped the keys onto Ye Chen's chest. "Take them, you idiot!"
Ye Chen smirked and took the keys without hesitation.
Feng Liang turned back to Xiao Yun, who had just set down the bottle with a pained expression, unable to drink any more.
"I told you to finish it in one go! And you dare set it down?!" Feng Liang bellowed, his rage boiling over.
"Feng Shao, I really can't! I can't drink anymore... Please let me go home! I just want to go home..." Xiao Yun was sobbing now, her body trembling on the sofa.
"Go home? Of course, you can go home!" Feng Liang sneered, his tone eerily cheerful. "I'd never illegally detain anyone. That's against the law, you know!"
But just as Xiao Yun's face lit up with hope, Feng Liang's sinister smile returned. "However, if you're out with me, Feng Liang, you follow my rules!"
He roared, "Liang Hongbo! Where the hell are you, you useless idiot?!"
From the crowd, a man named Liang Hongbo, whose father was a deputy prosecutor, reluctantly approached with a forced smile. Despite his connections, he was still far beneath Feng Liang in status. Both he and his father owed the Feng family too many favors.
"Yes, Feng Shao!" Liang Hongbo greeted him with an awkward laugh.
"Go get me some vodka! And don't ask how many bottles. Bring as many as you can carry!"
"Got it, Feng Shao!" Liang Hongbo rushed off and soon returned, carrying several bottles of vodka.
"Open them and put them on the table!" Feng Liang commanded.
Without hesitation, Liang Hongbo uncapped the bottles and set them down. Feng Liang's twisted grin resurfaced as he turned back to Xiao Yun.
"You said you wanted to go home, right? Sure, just finish these bottles, and you can leave!"
The onlookers, including Zhang Jingshan, Zhao Jiwei, and others, frowned at the scene but chose not to intervene.
Stopping Feng Liang would only invite trouble, and besides, any girl who willingly hung out with someone like him couldn't be entirely innocent.
"Feng Shao, please... I'll die if I drink all this! Please don't make me do this!" Xiao Yun sobbed uncontrollably, trembling as she attempted to discreetly press buttons on her phone under the table.
No one noticed her actions—except Ye Chen.
"Hah! Die? If you die, I'll just pay with my life. What's there to be afraid of?" Feng Liang grinned maniacally.
"No! Please, Feng Shao, I'm begging you!" Xiao Yun wailed, shaking her head furiously.
"Well, you can stay here tonight if you're not drinking. Hehe..." Feng Liang chuckled again and plopped down beside her.
At that moment, Ye Chen spoke quietly to Zhang Jingshan and the others. "Let's go."
"Alright!" Zhang Jingshan, Li Changfeng, and Zhao Jiwei nodded in unison, eager to distance themselves from Feng Liang's madness.
"Call Xu Wenhui and Qiu Yingzhe to leave with us," Ye Chen added.
Zhang Jingshan hesitated but ultimately passed along Ye Chen's message.
Hearing Ye Chen's name reminded Xu Wenhui and Qiu Yingzhe of his earlier warning about Feng Liang's impending disaster. Without hesitation, they agreed.
"Let's go now—don't even bother saying goodbye to that psycho," Ye Chen said lightly as he headed for the door.
Zhang Jingshan followed quickly, muttering, "Ye Chen's right. You two aren't like him—just listen to him."
Xu Wenhui and Qiu Yingzhe exchanged glances, nodded silently, and followed Ye Chen's group out without looking back.
