"Holy crap! What the hell is that?"
Fatty Eric turned toward the staircase in terror.
A giant dog, as large as a tiger, stepped into view.
Its low growls filled the air, muscles bulging under its fur. Its blood-red eyes glared menacingly, and its sharp teeth were smeared with blood and fragments of bones.
Fatty Eric's face went pale as he screamed,
"D-Don't come near me!"
The mutant dog leaped at him, knocking him to the ground. Its teeth sank into the arm holding the knife.
Crunch!
Blood spurted everywhere.
Fatty Eric let out a piercing scream as his arm broke with a sickening snap.
The knife fell to the floor with a clatter.
Desperately, he struggled and wrestled with the husky.
"Don't bite me! Don't bite me! Ah! It hurts! Help!"
Shirley lnr Won turned pale as she watched, trembling.
"That dog is massive! It's terrifying!"
Hearing Fatty Eric's screams, Monroe Anne struggled to lift her head and look at the monitor.
What she saw made her blood run cold: the giant dog was savagely attacking Fatty Eric.
If she had been spotted earlier, she would have been dead!
James Lone, however, observed the battle calmly.
With his physical strength now enhanced to a total score of 50, his body and senses were significantly stronger.
To an ordinary person, the mutant dog's speed would seem like lightning.
But to James Lon, it appeared slow and deliberate.
I can take it down, he thought confidently.
Picking up a hammer, he gently opened the door.
Shirley froze in shock.
The mutant husky immediately turned its attention to James Lon, barking viciously:
"Woof! Woof! Woof!" "Woof! Woof! Woof!"
Fatty Eric, sprawled on the ground, reached out desperately toward James Lon and screamed,
"Help me! Please, save me!"
James Lon ignored him entirely, focusing on the mutant dog as he took a step forward.
The husky hesitated, growling as it backed up a step. It instinctively recalled the fearsome power of humans.
Seizing the opportunity, Fatty Eric scrambled toward James Lon on all fours.
Seeing its prey trying to escape, the husky roared angrily and lunged at Fatty Eric again.
James's eyes lit up.
Too slow!
With a powerful kick, he struck the dog square in the head.
The massive husky, over two meters long, was sent flying, crashing into the wall with a loud thud.
Boom!
The tiles on the wall cracked under the impact.
"Yelp!"
The husky whimpered as it struggled to its feet, its tail tucked tightly between its legs. It howled miserably at James Lon.
James Lon stepped forward again, closing the distance. Before the husky could react, his large hand clamped down on the back of its neck.
"Stay down!" James Lon growled.
The husky, overwhelmed by his strength, collapsed to the ground, its legs splaying out beneath it.
Picking up the hammer, James Lon struck the dog's head repeatedly.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Blood poured from the husky's head as it whimpered in pain, its vision spinning.
This human was too strong!
The husky quickly recalled its submissive days under human rule and immediately surrendered.
It whimpered pitifully, wagging its tail as a gesture of submission.
The red hostility emanating from its body turned green, signaling friendliness.
James Lon raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"Is that all it takes to tame you?"
The husky didn't dare stand. Instead, it crawled to James Lone's feet, rubbing its head against his pants in a show of obedience.
At that moment, James fully grasped the extent of his strength.
Fatty Eric, clutching his broken arm, stared in shock.
Holy crap! How is James Lon this strong?
What was I thinking trying to rob him?
Shirley lnr Won, peeking out from behind the door, finally relaxed.
Meanwhile, Monroe Anne lay on the floor, her mind racing.
A dog that big, and he subdued it so easily? James Lon is way more reliable than Fatty Eric!
James Lone, sensing the husky's submission, pulled a steak from thin air.
"Want some food?"
The husky wagged its tail furiously, licking James Lone's shoes in gratitude.
Dogs never serve willingly—unless fed!
James Lone tossed the steak to the ground.
The husky devoured it in one gulp.
Seeing this, James pulled out 20 more packs and threw them all at the dog.
The husky jumped and barked in excitement, its eyes glistening with gratitude.
Since the purple mist had descended, it hadn't been fed by any humans.
You have no idea how hard it is for a husky to survive in these times!
Noticing its white eyes, James Lone chuckled.
"From now on, your name is Byakuga n."
"Woof, woof!" The husky barked, as if it understood.
Turning back to Fatty Eric, James grabbed him by the hair and dragged him into the apartment.
"Ah! It hurts! Go easy, James Lone!" Fatty Eric screamed in pain but didn't dare resist.
After seeing James subdue the giant husky, he knew better than to fight back.
James shut the door behind them, leaving the husky outside.
Though subdued, the dog's temperament could still be unstable. If it lost control and attacked, James wasn't worried, but his slaves wouldn't survive.
He lifted Fatty Eric effortlessly and slammed him onto the floor.
The impact left Fatty Eric dazed and disoriented, nearly unconscious.
Monroe Anne shivered in fear.
James is too violent! He won't break my legs too, will he?
James squatted down leisurely, examining Fatty Eric's injuries.
His right arm was in bad shape, with both the ulna and radius fractured. Bone fragments jutted out through the skin, and his hand hung limply.
James grinned.
"Tsk, tsk. That's a nasty injury, Fatty Eric. Looks like you're done for. Mind if I make use of you?"
Fatty Eric barely managed to respond, his voice trembling with fear.
"Help me... please, help me."
James Lon patted his knee.
"Help you? You came here armed to ambush me, and now you want my help?"
Fatty Eric stammered,
"We were just protecting ourselves... Ah!"
Crack!
James Lone shattered Fatty Eric's left kneecap with a single punch.
As Fatty Eric opened his mouth to scream, James Lon clamped it shut.
Then he delivered another punch to the right knee.
Crack!
"Mmmph! Mmmph!" Fatty Eric's eyes bulged as he stared in horror at his twisted legs.
Releasing him, James Lone smiled brightly.
"Relax. Pain and dizziness are normal. Breathe deeply with me. Come on, in and out. See, I didn't want to do this, but you're just too big and scary. You understand, right?"
Fatty Eric couldn't even respond, his mind blank as he stared at his broken knees.
Monroe Anne lay trembling on the floor, pale as a sheet.
What kind of monster have I provoked?
Will he break my legs too?
Shirley lnr Won was less afraid but still deeply awed. Her respect for James Lone reached a new height.
Dragging Fatty Eric to the balcony, James Lone tied him to the iron railing, leaving his upper body hanging outside and his lower body inside.
Amidst Fatty Eric's screams, James Lone secured him with dozens of layers of tape, ensuring he wouldn't move.
Monroe Anne stared at the scene, trembling uncontrollably. Her mind was blank with fear.
Looking down into the purple mist, James thought of the mutant frog below. It posed the greatest threat to him so far.
He wondered if its tongue could reach the 33rd floor.
Returning to the living room, James Lone's gaze fell on Monroe Anne.
She shuddered involuntarily as he approached.
With a flick of his wrist, a loaf of bread appeared in his hand.
Monroe Anne's eyes widened in shock.
Is this... magic?
