Polydeuces pants heavily, wincing as he looks down at himself; not seeing Nefeli in his arms. He frantically looks around “Ne?.. Ne?!” He waves his hands through the dust, soon finding her by Politei’s body. “N-ne..?” He approaches her, sadly looking down at their fallen friend, catching her muttering a soft sorry while picking up his bloodied bandanna. “L-Look I know you two were close.. He was my friend to..” he sighs and places a hand on her shoulder. The woman didn't move, nor did she respond. Something inside Nefeli switched, and it emanated off of her like electricity.. the same kind that saved both their lives. Polydeuces hissed in discomfort, pulling his hand back to find odd markings left behind on his palm. “What the…”

“Come on…” were Nefeli’s only muttered words as she stood, walking off toward what was left of their group. The two Ithicans were met with Eyrlochus trying to snap Odysseus from his stunned state. “Captain! Captain!!” The man looks up at the other two, “oh thank gods your both alright.. I can't get him to-” Nefeli suddenly slaps Odysseus; grabbing him. “Snap out of it captain.”

Both Polydeuces and Eurylochus wince at the sound, both taken aback by the action. Polydeuces was more shocked by her unexpected change. Her previously care-free nature was replaced with a cold demeanor. It was… terrifying, and yet, he felt something else stirring within him. That surge of power, the speed… He places his other hand over his rapid heartbeat. Was this just adrenaline? He couldn't focus on that though as Odyseus finally returned to his senses.

“We must move quickly… We don't have much time. He didn't notice, I mixed lotus in the wine… Mark my words now, this is not the end.” Eyrelocus helped him onto his feet.“But captain, what do we do about our fallen friends?” Nefeli clenched the bloodied bandana as she turned to face the others. “Remember them. When the fire begins to fade, for the fallen and afraid…” She peeks over at her fallen friend with a saddened expression, “we are not to let them die in vain.” Her eyes shifted in the light, almost making them look golden-yellow. “Remember them! We’re the ones who carry on, the flame of those who've gone. And our comrades will not die in vain!” She yells as she lifts her spear, getting everyone else riled up as well. Before looking at Odyseus as the two start coming up with a plan.

“We need all hands on his club! This is how we're getting out of here, use your swords to sharpen the stud. And turn it into a giant spear!” He orders but the others were thirsty for revenge, “let's kill him!”Nefeli immediately shut them down, “his body is blocking the path. If we kill him, we’ll be stuck inside.”

Eurylocus examines the sleeping cyclops from their vantage point, “then captain were do we attack him?”

“We gotta stab him in the eye!” He exclaims, instantly the others gather their swords and begin sharpening the wooden club. Nefeli solely focuses on helping them, completely ignoring the teasing words and laughter from the eagle.“Ha, so meek.. Tell me, what will you do next? Abandon the bodies of your so-called friends? Blind the cyclops for merely defending his home? Or better… let him live after everything that's happened? Go on and continue fainting innocence.. We both know what you are now.. A monster..”

Nefeli only scoffs, her fear of the creature being no more as she narrowly picks up the giant spear by herself. “Remember them, when the fire begins to fade. For the fallen and afraid. We are to not let them die in vain.” Eurylochus nudged Polydeuces, muttering “well.. She scares me now..” Nefelli huffs, “shut up, and help me damn it!”

“Yes ma'am” they both say in unison, joining her underneath the spear. Others also aided them, and with their added strength they were able to hoist the weapon over their heads. “Remember them! We are the ones who carry on! The flame of those who’ve gone! And our friend will not die in vain!” Odysseus guides them to the edge, signaling as he yells. “NOW!” With a battle cry they all dropped the weapon. The sharpened end pierced the Cyclops' eye.

“AAAAGHHHHH!!!” The beast roars in agony, holding his bleeding eye with one hand, while blindly swinging his other around in an attempt to kill his aggressors. “SCATTER!” Odysseus orders as the whole crew splits up in separate directions. Polydeuces pants as he and Nefeli hide behind a rock. “That was too close..”

“Shh..” Nefeli shushes him as more voices no echo in the cave. “Who hurts you??”

“There are more of them?” Eurylochus looks at Odysseus terrified and disheartened. The two, not far from their other friends as Odysseus whispers, “hide.” They all duck behind whatever cover they could find as the two creatures converse with each other. “Who hurts you?” The multiple voices ask once more, “captain.. We should run.” Polydeuces peeks from his hiding spot. “Wait..” Odysseus singles to him a little to stay down. “Captain please…” Eurylochus worryingly pleads, “waiitttt.” Odysseus keeps edging them to remain in their positions.

The lone cyclopes looks upon the shadowy figures’ deeper within the cave, blood seeping down his face from his unseeing eye. “It was nobody… nobody…” The figures growl in response. “If nobody hurts you then, be silent!” Odysseus noe peeks from his nook, watching the shadowy figure leave Polyphemus alone and humiliated. “Don't go!” His pleas though, only feel on deaf ears.

Nefeli lets out a breath of relief, but it was swiftly replaced with regret as she looks upon Polities and the others. Polydeuces gently redirected her attention, “come on.. Let's grab the sheep and away we go.” They all run out from their hiding spots; gathering everything and anything they could carry. Though, as they exited the cave; Athena stopped their world once more, “Have you forgotten the lessons I taught you? He’s still a threat until he’s dead…” The goddess glares at the two expectantly, “finish it.”

Odysseus and Nefeli both glare right back at her, “no.”

“No?” Odysseus steps up first, offering words of a kinder world. “What good would killing do? When mercy is a skill, more of this world could learn to use?” While Nefeli shook the bloodied bandana up at Athena, “my friend is dead! Our foe is blind! The blood we shed, it never dries! Is this what it means to be a warrior of the mind?!” She scoffs, the two turning away from athena as she gives a frightful warning, “don’t!”

Athen tried to stop them, but her connection between the two was severing.

Their world flickered back to normal as they faced the cave. Standing side by side at the helm of their ship. “Hey cyclopes!! When we meet, we lead with peace, while you feed your inner beast! But our comrades will not die in vain!! Remember them, the next time that you dare choose not to spare! Remember them.. Remember us..” Odysseus grips his chest with pride and honor, “remember me! I’m the reigning king of Ithaca! I am neither man nor mythical! I am your darkest moment… I am the infamous… Odysseus!!”

“And I am Nefeli Targaryen of Ithaca!!” They both watch as the rocky island starts fading from view as their ships sail away. Spotting the cyclopes at the edge of his home, bloody running down from an empty socket. But smirking, sinisterly all the while.
