NO ONE POV :

Pete was minding his own business and walking to his apartment after his part-time job. But for his luck, he saw something he shouldn't . He saw some people beating someone, and they had guns with them. Pete was so shocked and tried to escape without making any noise, but someone saw him.

That's when he saw him... tall, sharp, and terrifying, surrounded by menacing figures.

Kinn's voice cut through the silence like a blade. "You think you can mess with my business and walk away?"

Pete froze, his breath hitching. The sharp snap of Kinn's gaze landing on him was enough to make his knees weak.

"Who the hell are you?" Kinn barked.

"Wrong turn!" Pete blurted, his hands shooting up. "I'm just... a guy. Walking to my house.

Kinn's men snickered, but a flick of Kinn's hand silenced them. "Leave. And don't let me see your face again."

Pete didn't need to be told twice. He bolted, muttering to himself, "Great. First time meeting a mafia boss, and I make a fool of myself. Perfect."

But he forgot something, he accidentally dropped his wallet and Kinn took it .

Days later, fate-or misfortune-brought them together again. Pete, engrossed in his calculus textbook at a café, didn't notice Kinn approach until a shadow loomed over him.

"You lose something?" Kinn asked, holding out Pete's wallet.

Pete's eyes widened. "Oh no, not you again. Are you following me?"

Kinn smirked. "You think I have nothing better to do than follow a college kid?"

"With how scary you are, who knows what you do for fun," Pete muttered, snatching his wallet.

Amused, Kinn sat down uninvited, ignoring Pete's protests. "Calculus, huh? That's rough."

"Tell me about it," Pete sighed. "I'm this close to giving up and becoming a barista." The movement he forgot Kinn is some Stanger mafia.

For reasons he couldn't explain, Kinn found himself drawn to Pete's candidness and pete sassy yet cute behavior.

Their third encounter was less coincidental. Pete attended a party, reluctantly dragged by a friend. The atmosphere was lively, but Pete felt out of place.....

until trouble found him.

A drunk guy cornered him, slurring, "Hey, cutie, don't be shy. Dance with me."

"No thanks," Pete said firmly, trying to step away.

The guy grabbed his arm, but before Pete could react, a hand clamped down on the man's wrist.

"He said no," Kinn growled. "Are you deaf or just stupid?"

The drunk sneered, "Who do you think you are?"

Kinn didn't answer. His fist answered for him, sending the guy sprawling.

"You didn't have to punch him!" Pete exclaimed, his eyes wide.

"He touched you," Kinn said simply, brushing his knuckles. He already planned to murder that drunken stupid guy in many ways in his mind!

Pete blinked, his cheeks warming some fueled on his stomach. "Oh." . . . .

Kinn started seeing him. " Coincidentally, in some places. "

Kinn began seeking Pete out after that, always finding excuses to check in. Pete, despite his initial wariness, grew comfortable around the mafia boss. Comfortable enough to tease him.

"You know, for a scary mafia boss, you're not very intimidating when you smile," Pete quipped one day.

"Careful," Kinn said, smirking. "Flattery might make me soft."

"Too late. You're already soft. Like an overgrown puppy."

Kinn laughed... a sound that startled even him.

But one day, the cute Pete turns into a little devil. One evening, Kinn was speaking with a beautiful business associate, her laughter ringing through the room. Pete watched from a distance, arms crossed, his lips in a pout.

Kinn noticed. So excuses himself went towards Pete.

"Why are you pouting like that?" he asked, approaching Pete.

"I'm not pouting," Pete snapped, crossing his arms tighter.

"You're jealous, aren't you?" Kinn teased, his smirk widening.

"What? No! I'm just... tired," Pete stammered, his cheeks turning red.

"You're cute when you're jealous," Kinn said, leaning closer.

Seeing Kinn be close with someone, that lady becomes furious. So after Kinn came back, she intentionally showed herself and touched him with kinn. Kinn dumb to notice that. Suddenly, that lady accidentally fell on kinn's lap. That's it.

Kinn saw some furious kitten grabbing that lady's hair, pulling her from him. " What the hell you're thinking, you plastic lady!". He pulls her tightly and then turns towards Kinn. " And you! Are you enjoying that much, huh? You stupid mafia!". He said and trow that plastic lady away and walked out from there.

Kinn knows he messed up, so he runs behind him and grabs his hand. " Pete, I'm sorry. I didn't notice that it's not like that.No one's more important than you," Kinn said softly, his sincerity making Pete melt. . . . .

One quiet evening, Kinn finally confessed.

"You've turned my life upside down, Pete," he admitted. "I don't know how to be myself around you."

Pete grinned. "You mean the scary mafia boss turns into a shy schoolboy around me?"

"Yes," Kinn said, his voice steady. "And I don't want to go back to who I was before you."

Pete's grin softened. "Good. Because I like this version of you."

Later, 5 months later, Kinn asked Pete to move with him because he was scared and missed him sometimes, mostly at night.... ahemm ahemm...

After Pete moved with him, everything changed.

One day, Kinn and pete have some arguments. " You're not going anywhere!".

" Ohh, come on, Kinn, it's just a some field trip for my college . " Pete said.

" Whatever it is ! You're not going, " Kinn is being stubborn.

Pete done with that " why not "

Kinn hesitated before blurting, "Because I'll miss you."

Pete blinked, then burst out laughing. "You're such a big baby!"

"Only for you," Kinn admitted shamelessly.

Behind them, two maids peeking from the hallway exchanged wide-eyed looks.

"Did he just say that out loud?" one whispered.

"Is this real life?" the other replied.

This is not just one thing. Kinn even canceled , a meeting just because Pete was sleeping on his lap. The bodyguard almost falls from the building here this from his boss.

Their relationship blossomed into something, and neither had expected. Kinn, the feared mafia boss, became Pete's overgrown puppy, while Pete brought light and laughter into Kinn's dark world.

"You're staring again," Pete teased one evening, snuggling into Kinn's side.

"I can't help it," Kinn replied, kissing Pete's forehead. "You're my world now."

Pete rolled his eyes. "Ugh, so cheesy. But I'll allow it."

And in the shadows where Kinn once thrived, Pete brought warmth, proving that even the darkest hearts could find love.
