Draco the Devil King Draco's POV:

---

The throne room was cold, dimly lit by the eerie glow of red flames dancing on tall sconces. I sat on the obsidian throne, listening to my advisors drone on about my destiny. It was the same speech I had heard countless times, but this time, the weight of their words felt heavier.

"Your Majesty," one of them said, his voice solemn, "your power as the Devil King is incomplete. To reach your full potential and protect our world from the enemy, you must find your destined love in the human world."

I scoffed, leaning back with an air of disinterest. "Love? Humans are fragile creatures. Why would I tie my fate to one of them?"

"It is not just about love," another advisor added. "The chosen one is the key to both your strength and our realm's survival. But beware, if the enemy discovers their identity, it could lead to destruction in both worlds."

I waved them off, but their words lingered. Love wasn't a concept I entertained, but power? That, I could not ignore.

---

I arrived in the human world with a simple goal: find this so-called destined love, secure my power, and return to my kingdom. The task seemed tedious-until I saw him.

It was by chance that I ended up at a music concert, drawn in by the vibrant energy of the crowd. On stage, under the spotlight, was Jeff. His voice was rich and captivating, his movements fluid and commanding. But it wasn't just his beauty that held me captive-it was his presence. There was something about him that felt... inevitable.

I watched him from the shadows, unable to look away.

---

After the concert, I approached him backstage, my heart beating faster than it should.

"You were incredible out there," I said, trying to sound casual. "I've never seen anyone command a crowd like that."

He turned, his dark eyes meeting mine. He tilted his head, a smirk playing on his lips. "Flattery will get you nowhere... unless you're buying me coffee."

I couldn't help but laugh. "Deal. Let's call it a celebration of your talent."

And just like that, I was pulled into his orbit.

---

Over the next few weeks, we became friends. I told him my name was Draco, leaving out the "Devil King" part. We spent hours together, talking about everything and nothing. He was unlike anyone I'd ever met-sharp-tongued, confident, and maddeningly charming.

"You're weird, you know that?" he teased one night as we sat on his couch, sharing a bowl of popcorn. "Like, mysterious-weird. But I kinda like it."

"And you're obnoxiously sassy," I retorted, smirking. "But I don't mind."

"Aww, look at you catching feelings already." He winked, and my smile faltered.

Feelings? No. This was a mission. I couldn't afford to get distracted.

---

The night I felt the enemy's presence was the first time I truly feared for him. We were at his apartment, laughing over some ridiculous video he had shown me, when the air shifted. My instincts flared, warning me of danger.

"What's with the pacing?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

"It's... complicated," I muttered, trying to suppress my panic.

He crossed his arms, his expression challenging. "Try me. I've got all night."

I took a deep breath. It was now or never. "I'm not who you think I am. I'm not even from this world. I'm the Devil King, sent here to find you. You're my destined love, the key to saving my realm."

He stared at me, then burst out laughing. "Wow, that's the best excuse I've ever heard. Did you hit your head or something?"

"I'm serious." I grabbed his hands, my voice urgent. "And now, the enemy knows about you. You're in danger because of me."

His laughter faded, replaced by anger. He pulled his hands away. "You've been lying to me this whole time? Do you even care about me, or was this just a mission?"

Before I could answer, he stormed out.

---

I followed him, my heart pounding, but I wasn't fast enough. The enemy-Zareth-appeared before him, his dark aura crackling with malice.

( Zareth )

"So this is the human you're protecting?" Zareth sneered. "Pathetic."

Jeff backed away, his eyes wide. "Who... what are you?"

"The one who will destroy your precious Draco and everything he loves," Zareth hissed.

I didn't give him a chance to attack. Summoning my powers, I launched myself at him, shielding Jeff with my body. The battle was fierce, but I couldn't afford to lose. Not with Jeff's life on the line.

When it was over, Jeff was unconscious in my arms. I took him to my kingdom, where I could protect him.

---

He woke up in one of my chambers, his confusion quickly turning to anger.

"What the hell? Did I die or something?"

"You're safe," I said softly, sitting by his bedside. "That's all that matters."

"Safe?" He sat up, glaring at me. "You kidnapped me! And what's with this creepy castle?!"

"This is my kingdom," I explained. "I brought you here to protect you."

He threw a pillow at me. "I don't need your protection! I need answers!"

I sighed, realizing there was no calming him with words. So, I tried something else.

---

Over the next few days, I did everything I could to make him feel at ease. I brought him his favorite desserts, offered him a luxurious bubble bath, and even indulged his sassy tantrums.

"You're insufferable," he said one evening, though a small smile tugged at his lips.

"But you're smiling," I pointed out, and he rolled his eyes.

---

Slowly, he began to soften. One night, as we sat in the garden under the stars, he turned to me, his expression uncharacteristically serious.

"You know, for a devil king, you're not half bad."

"High praise coming from you," I teased.

"Don't let it go to your head," he said, smirking. "But... I guess I like you too."

My heart swelled, and before I could stop myself, I leaned in. Our lips met in a tender kiss, sealing the bond that would save both our worlds.

---

The final battle with Zareth was brutal, but together, we prevailed. With him gone, peace returned to both realms.

"So," Jeff said afterward, grinning. "What now? Am I your queen or something?"

"If you'll have me," I replied, laughing.

He pretended to think. "Hmm... I'll consider it. But only if you keep the chocolate cake coming."

"Anything for you, my love," I said, pulling him into my arms.

For the first time in my life, I felt whole.
