NO ONE POV :

Payu and Prapai prided themselves on being the best boyfriends to their respective partners, Rain and Sky. Life was good—until Prapai noticed something strange.

It started small. Sky would receive mysterious messages, and before Prapai could peek, Sky would quickly lock his phone. Then, there were the hushed conversations with Rain, their secretive glances, and the most damning evidence—Sky leaving their apartment late at night with Rain and returning only hours later.

At first, Prapai brushed it off. But then Rain started acting the same way around Payu—being unusually secretive, sneaking out at odd hours, and worst of all, ignoring Payu’s goodnight kisses in favor of whispering on the phone with Sky.

Prapai couldn’t take it anymore. He stormed into Payu’s garage, where the older man was working on a new bike.

“Payu, something is wrong!” Prapai declared dramatically, gripping Payu’s shoulders.

Payu raised an eyebrow. “What now?”

“Our babies are cheating on us!”

Silence.

Payu stared at Prapai as if he’d lost his mind. “You do realize how ridiculous that sounds, right?”

“No, listen! Sky and Rain are acting weird. They’re sneaking out together, whispering all the time, and today—today, I saw Sky smiling at his phone after texting Rain!”

“And?” Payu blinked.

Prapai gaped. “What do you mean, ‘and’?! That’s suspicious!”

Payu sighed, wiping his hands. “Prapai, my baby won’t do that. Rain is dumb but loyal.”

“But what if—”

“No.”

“But—”

“No.”

“But—”

“Fine.” Payu groaned. “If it’ll get you to shut up, we’ll follow them. But when we prove you wrong, you owe me a new wrench.”

Prapai grinned. “Deal.”

The Investigation

Later that evening, Payu and Prapai parked their bikes a safe distance away from the café where Sky and Rain were seated—too close.

Sky was laughing, his hand resting on Rain’s arm.

“See that?” Prapai whispered. “Suspicious.”

Payu narrowed his eyes. “They’re friends.”

Rain leaned in closer, whispering something in Sky’s ear. Sky smiled—softly.

“Okay… that was weird,” Payu admitted.

Inside the Café

Sky stirred his iced coffee lazily, leaning back in his seat while Rain dramatically slumped forward, resting his head on Sky’s shoulder.

"Skyyy, I’m so tired," Rain whined, nudging closer. "Why are we even doing this? I should be in Payu’s arms right now, not babysitting you."

Sky rolled his eyes but didn’t push him away. "Shut up. You agreed to help me, remember?" He smirked. "Besides, if you miss Payu that much, go cry to him. Oh wait, you can't, because you promised me you'd keep this a secret."

Rain groaned and dramatically grabbed Sky’s hand. "You’re ruining my love life! Do you even know how much I suffer without Payu’s hugs?"

Sky raised an eyebrow. "You act like you’ll die without physical contact for five seconds."

"I will!" Rain pouted. "Payu’s warmth is my energy source."

Sky snorted, patting Rain’s head in fake sympathy. "Poor baby. Surviving without your boyfriend for a few hours. Such tragedy."

Rain huffed, squeezing Sky’s hand dramatically. "You don't understand my pain, Sky. Payu and I are meant to be attached at all times. Unlike you, I actually have a heart."

Sky playfully flicked Rain’s forehead. "Shut up before I make you pay for your coffee."

Rain gasped, clutching his chest. "How dare you threaten me?! I’m literally helping you surprise your boyfriend!"

Sky smirked. "Correction: You’re helping me surprise Payu, which means you should be thanking me for making your boyfriend happy."

Rain sighed dramatically, gripping Sky’s hand even tighter. "Fine, but you owe me. And I swear, if Payu doesn’t shower me with love after this, I’ll make you suffer."

Sky laughed. "Yeah, yeah. Just endure it a little longer."

Rain groaned and leaned into Sky's side again. "This is torture. Let me lean on you, at least. You’re not as comfy as Payu, but you’ll do."

Sky rolled his eyes but let Rain stay close, shaking his head with a fond smirk. "You’re unbelievable."

Little did they know, two pairs of shocked eyes were watching them from behind a menu.

Then, the real blow came.

Rain reached across the table, held Sky’s hand, and said, “I don’t know how much longer I can do this… I miss Payu too much.”

Prapai gasped. Payu stiffened.

Sky sighed. “I know, I know. But you need to hold on just a little longer. This surprise will make Payu happy. I promise.”

Rain whined. “If it doesn’t, I’ll kill you. I’m suffering because of your stupid surprise. You owe me big time.”

Payu and Prapai turned to each other, horror dawning on their faces.

“What the hell did we just do?” Prapai whispered.

“We’re idiots,” Payu muttered.

“Big idiots.”

One Week Later

A week passed, and Sky was finally ready to unveil his “stupid surprise.”

Prapai walked into their apartment, expecting nothing out of the ordinary, only to be met with Sky standing in the middle of the living room with a brand-new, custom-made leather jacket in hand.

“For you,” Sky said, looking away, cheeks slightly pink. “I know you’ve been wanting one like this, so…”

Prapai blinked. “Wait, this is why you were acting weird?”

Sky scoffed. “Obviously. What, did you think I was cheating on you or something?”

Prapai let out an awkward laugh. “Hah…no, of course not!”

Sky narrowed his eyes. “You totally did.”

Prapai cleared his throat. “...I love you?”

Sky smacked him.

Meanwhile, Payu received his surprise—a new set of high-quality bike tools Rain had been secretly saving up for.

“You thought I was cheating?!” Rain yelled, horrified. “With Sky?!”

Payu looked away, suddenly very interested in the floor. “It was Prapai’s idea…”

Rain gasped, clutching his chest. “The betrayal! I was suffering for you, and you thought I was cheating?! I can’t believe this!”

Payu wrapped an arm around him, kissing his forehead. “I’m sorry, baby.”

Rain pouted but melted into Payu’s hold. “Hmph. You owe me.”

Prapai, meanwhile, was on his knees, begging for forgiveness as Sky smugly held the leather jacket hostage.

. . . .

Moral of the story: Never doubt your babies. They might just be planning something sweet.
