Isabella's POV:

I was planning on studying today , catching up on my online law course work.

Yet instead I am sat down in a dining room with my father and mother waiting for Leonardo and whoever else to finish a call about their business

It sounded bad.

I have been called fat three times already by my mother

What a record!

A man I didn't recognise walked in , surprising me because I thought it was just Leonardo, Ace , Killian and the older man

Seems not.

"I apologise for the wait , they are almost done" the man nodded his head sitting across from me

He froze seeing me.

Shocked.

"You must be Isabella their daughter and Leonardo's soon to b-" the man spoke putting his hand out to shake mine , he stopped himself from speaking

Soon to be what?

I had a funny and very stupid thought come to mind

Imagine he was going to say soon to be wife.

AHHAHA imagine.

That couldn't be..

Oh my god but it could.

I shook my head and told myself I was being dumb and just to forget about it for now

He cleared his throat

"I'm Alexander de Luca, Leonardo's and Killian's father" he introduced himself awkwardly looking behind me with stressed eyes

A hand touched my shoulder

I jumped in shock

"Very jumpy today, aren't you Isabella?" Leonardo spoke sitting down beside me with a taunting voice

Him.

"I apologise" I spoke my breathing heavy still shaken up

"Stop apologising" he reminded me like always , I should have caught on to that by now honestly

I just looked down

Ace sitting besides me on the other side

"You've met my father?" Killian asked sitting besides his father with a cold look on his face

I nodded with a polite smile

God help me.

"Well then I believe I didn't introduce you to mine" Leonardo told me making me look towards him

The older man , I suspected to be his father sat besides him

"I'm Leonardo's father , victor it's wonderful to meet you officially" he introduced himself the word 'offically' made me tense because my parents might realise we met at the grocery store the other day

"Nice to meet you sir" I nodded at him with a respectable smile on my face

The sooner this is over the better.

Whatever business him and my father had surely would be ending soon.

"Your daughter is lovely, she's doesn't look anything like the two of you" Alexander spat as a backhanded comment

"O-oh yes she isn't biologically ours , it's a complicated story" my father spoke and what he said was true

I wasn't there's.

I turned up at the age of about 2 outside their door.

Stuck in a car seat

Crying

All I had with me was a blanket and a bracelet I was wearing

The same bracelet I had on my wrist right now

"What? Really!?" Leonardo asked shocked looking at me with a questionable look

I just nodded with a calm look

"Oh well that's nice to know" victor mumbled looking at me and then Alexander curiously

They both kept giving eachother weird looks.

"Isabella a ball is in two days time and you'll be attending with Leonardo" my mother informed me out of the blue as food was brought in

Attending with him?

"Oh attending as in..?" I tried to get my question across without actually asking it

"My date." Leonardo mumbled from besides me making me look at him in surprise

Oh.

Wonderful

"Oh" is all I can say because I did NOT want to go with him at all

He high-key scared me.

His hand once again grazed my thigh

Silence consumed the room for a moment and I stared down at my plate which this time had pasta on it like everyone else but I had half the portion size.

"What would you like to do Isabella in the future? Your marrying, yes?" Killian asked smirking at Leonardo who was glaring at him

I was about to reply but my mother beat me to it

"Well of course she's marrying, she's studying law even though I've told her she should be focusing on finding a husband" my mother answered as if she knew best

"Law? Interesting." Leonardo stared at me like he was impressed

I just smiled at him and ate my food in silence

We all sat in somewhat comfortable silence until..

My bracelet suddenly unclipped itself as the clip was broken and it scattered across table

Catching everyone's attention

Ace who sat beside me was the one to grab it off the table

Inspecting it closely

"Where'd you get this?" Ace asked seeming more serious and angry than before

"I um I've had it since my parents found me" I replied with squinted eyes and burrowed eyebrows

Ace looked at his father.

"How old was she when you found her?" Alexander asked my parents Leonardo staring at me with a look full of the most emotion I've seen from him

Confusion and disbelief.

"Two years old?" My father answered with confusion

They all shared another round of looks

"When's your birthday?!" Killian asked quickly as if adding something up in his head

I was so confused

"What?" I asked extremely taken back by their question

"Just answer the question love" Leonardo told me seeming intrigued himself like he needed the answer or he's pass away in that moment

"19th of march"

Silence.

Not a peep from anyone

Did I miss something?

"No she couldn't be-" Victor stared at me in shock

All the de Luca's sharing looks.

"We have to go, thank you for the food." Leonardo said making me turn to him with curiosity

They haven't finished eating.

Was it something I said?

I was worried

My parents are gonna kill me.

They all put their blazers back on

"Did she do something?" My father asked instantly blaming me making me even more worried

"Oh no she did nothing." Ace told them before staring down at me struggling to reach my eyes as he did

What the fuck.

"Don't worry my love , we'll see you in two days" Leonardo mumbled in my ear in a weird tone

I was frozen as his hot breath touched my ear

His hand on my shoulder and as they all slowly began to leave

They all stared at me like I was a whole new person

I'm out of the loop I believe.

Oh I'm in for a long day now

Alexander's POV:

--the next day--

She looked just like her

I noticed from the start she looked identical to my wife and her whole nature reminded me of her

We did a background check and we can confirm she is my daughter

We want a DNA test just incase but I think it's quite clear it's her

I couldn't believe it, i hadn't quite processed it yet.

We got her parents to get some hair from her so we could send it of and surprise surprise they did as we asked with no questions

So we just got the results

"What if she's not?" My eldest son asked holding the paper with shaky hands

"Then we deal." I shrugged trying to keep it together

Inside I screamed and I hoped but for my two sons I had to keep it together and be calm about this

He nodded and slowly ripped open the seal of the envelope

He unfolded the paper slowly reading it his face giving away nothing until a smile , a genuine smile spread across his face

"It's her." Is all he said before my youngest son grabbed the paper off him impatiently

His face dropped too

Leonardo leaning over his shoulder seeming shocked to his core

Everyone took a look at it and then finally it got to me

I skipped all the information my eyes landing on one sentence

'isabella's father is Alexander de Luca.'

The sentence repeating itself over and over in my head

"She's my daughter" I mumbled to myself in relief , tears in my eyes and as I looked up I saw tears in Killian's eyes

Ace just wore a smile

But I knew this would mean particularly alot to him , he knew her best and he's old enough to remember her

He was going to be really protective

As were we all gonna be.

"I guess what's happening between me and her works more now." Leonardo mumbled staring at the peice of paper

"I guess so." I mumbled still trying to process it all

She's my daughter.

Isabella's POV:

It was the day of the ball and I have just found a box on my mattress in my bed 'room"

It had a little note

'isabella wear this tonight

Love from Leonardo x'

Love?

I shook my head

I really didn't want to go this stupid thing but I figured someone like Leonardo wouldn't have anyone to go with so that's why he asked me

We all know my parents would kill me if I tried to argue with that

So here I am

I grab the dress out of the box

Oh my god

This looks so expensive



The dress ^^^

I was going to look like Cinderella

I mean Cinderella is a good looking girl so hell yeah

I had to start getting ready now anyways as they were picking me up in an hour

I get the dress on and I felt like a god damn princess, this dress was stunning and however much Leonardo annoys me I must say thank you

I quickly did some makeup

Some mascara, blush , highlighter, concealer and lip gloss.

I decided to straighten my hair

My parents may not give me a bed but they damn well give me everything to make sure I look pretty

I put some heels on and grab a purse before heading down stairs

I keep my eyes on my feet too scared that I might trip over.

My mother and father stood at the bottom with the door open ready for the others to arrive

My parents weren't coming and I've never been so thankful

Apparently they have something on

I know they'd never miss a ball with Leonardo unless he asked them to not go so I'm guessing that's the actual truth

I don't know why he'd do that but I know he did.

"Spin." My mother demanded and I spun, doing as told because they scare me

"It'll do , right now I know you find it hard but don't embarrass us , do whatever you are told no matter what it is and don't speak to any other men or your in for a long night again" my father rolled his eyes at me telling me in detail what to do

While he spoke I believe Leonardo, Ace, Killian, victor and Alexander all entered but I didn't dare look away from my father

I nodded my head as he spoke

"Of course father" I bowed my head with a smile knowing I was escaping them for a little while

I may hate these dumb balls but I hate my parents even more!

So I turn around smiling the best I could connecting eyes with Leonardo

"You look beautiful Isabella" he spoke like he was breathless but I didn't look that good so I think he was just acting For my parents

"Thank you" I mumbled with a small polite smirk

The other didn't take their eyes off of me

They all were dressed in Armani suits

All black and white.

Leonardo's hugged his abs like a skin

I shook my head

Stop looking at his abs Izzy!

"Let us know if she's rude , she's said she'll do everything she's told." My mother spoke pushing me towards them

"I'm sure she will and she won't be rude I'm sure." Alexander told my mother with dislike

My mother just nodded awkwardly

Leonardo grabbed my wrist pulling me towards him

"Right we'll be off then , she'll be back half 10 tonight" Victor told my parents not waiting a minute before being out the door

Leonardo dragging me to the car.
