Later that evening, after Fina had spent some time gathering her thoughts, she found herself standing in the doorway of the living room where Aiden was sitting. He looked up as she entered, a soft smile crossing his face, though there was an underlying concern in his eyes.

"Hey," he said, his voice warm and inviting. "You okay?"

Fina hesitated for a moment, the weight of the conversation she was about to have settling in her chest. She took a deep breath and walked over to where he sat on the couch, her hands slightly trembling.

"I need to talk to you, Aiden," she began, her voice low but steady. "I've been thinking a lot, about... about us."

Aiden's expression softened, and he nodded, patting the seat next to him. "Of course. What's on your mind?"

Fina sat down beside him, her heart racing as she searched for the right words. "I've been scared, Aiden. Scared of what we could be, scared of what it means... and most of all, scared of what I could lose."

Aiden's brow furrowed in concern, but he didn't interrupt. He reached out, gently taking her hand in his.

"I'm scared that I'm not enough for you," Fina continued, her voice trembling. "That I'm too complicated, too broken. You deserve someone who can handle everything... not someone like me."

Aiden squeezed her hand, his gaze unwavering. "Fina," he said softly, his voice firm with sincerity, "you are more than enough. I don't need perfection, I just need you. All of you."

She looked at him, her heart pounding in her chest. "But what if I mess it all up? What if we can't make it work?"

Aiden smiled, a reassuring, gentle smile that seemed to calm the storm inside her. "Fina, we don't need to have everything figured out. I'm not going anywhere, and neither are you. We'll figure it out together."

Tears welled up in Fina's eyes as the walls she had built inside herself started to crumble. She leaned her forehead against his, closing her eyes for a moment to absorb his words. "I don't want to mess this up," she whispered, her voice raw with vulnerability.

"You won't," Aiden whispered back, his breath warm against her skin. "I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere."

Fina slowly opened her eyes, looking into his. For the first time, she felt the fear begin to ease, replaced by a deep sense of trust. Maybe they didn't have all the answers, but they had each other.

And that, for now, was enough.

She leaned in, closing the distance between them, her lips meeting his in a kiss that was soft, lingering—an unspoken promise of what they were willing to face together.

When they pulled apart, Fina rested her head on his shoulder, the weight of the world feeling just a little lighter. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice full of gratitude. "For being patient with me."

Aiden kissed the top of her head. "Always, Fina. Always."
