A day goes by with the same routine of the twins and Akira being dropped off at school by Eiran, coming home, going to the base, training, dinner, school work, sleep. Rinse and repeat. Two days go by like this; before long two months have passed.

"Dude we make a badass trio" - Leo Akira has been doing school, practicing, avoiding her boss at his own home and living a life of luxury as compared to her colleagues.

Today. However today was different. Diana had called Akira into her office to discuss something.

Third person pov:

Akira knocks on the dark oak doors of Diana's study and enters when she hears a "come in"

"Akira, take a seat." Diana says from behind her desk.

Akira sits down when Diana speaks up again in a friendly manner "how's your school going?"

"Good" Akira responds staring at her, trying to decipher what this is all about.

"Miss going on missions?" She asks knowingly "the good old days huh?"

Akira just stares at her, knowing there's something more to all this. She had been clearly told I couldn't start work as an active member until I turned 18.

"I won't beat around the bush" Diana says getting to the point in a her sharp business voice "would you like to go on a mission?"

Akira just stares at her before answering "yes"

"There is a meeting happening between two legal business representatives of the Italian and the Greek mafia" Diana explains "I want some information"

Akira stares at her, waiting for her to propose something.

"Can you do the work?" She asks.

"Yes ma'am" Akira replies with seemingly an emotionless voice as she kept excitement well hidden.

"I would prefer if you don't let Sebastian know about this" Diana continues.

"No ma'am. I am pledged to not lie to my boss" Akira says bluntly

Diana nods. She was testing her. "Alright"

"They are meeting at a bar and will be discussing the results of another meeting." Diana explains "I want you to tell me what they discuss. Can you do that?"

"Yes ma'am " Akira replies and then asks "when is this meeting and which bar?"

"Tomorrow night" Diana answers "the club is owned by the Greek mafia and it's called maayon"

Akira nods taking in all the information.

"We can discuss your disguise based on what clothes you have. Then we can go buy what is needed" Diana says standing up.

That's reasonable, Akira thought. So she gets up, out of the office and follows Diana. Diana looks at Akira for permission before entering into her room. Akira nods and follows Diana inside.

"Show me what kind of clothing you have" Diana says looking around the room.

Akira quitely leads her into her walk in closet. Diana is shocked at the empty closet when she notices a few pairs of clothes on one shelf.

"Is that all you have?" She asks incredulously.

"Yes?" Akira answers confused at her reaction.

"Oh my! Why didn't you tell me? I would've taken you shopping, bought you some more clothes." She goes on.

"It's not that bad" Akira says and when she doesn't look covinced, she adds "I wear one pair when the other is being washed so it's fine"

"No Akira it's not fine" Diana says sternly "you are going shopping with me tomorrow"

"It's alrigh-" Akira tries to refuse but is cut off

"No." She says sternly "cold weather is just 'round the corner, you'll need warm clothes for then too."

"I guess we'll get a guise for you tomorrow" she says and then looking at her watch she adds "since we can't do anything about it now, it's better we get some sleep for now"

Akira nods.

"Good night Akira" Diana says as she exits the room. Akira nods as the door shuts behind her.

The next day

Akira wakes up a bit early at 5:30 and gets ready. The bed is still a little too soft for her liking. She is down by 7 and eating breakfast with a dichevelled, grumpy Leo and Kai who is munching on his food with eyes closed almost asleep.

Clearly they both didnt sleep properly but Diana didn't scold them because it was Sunday today. She lets then sleep in on sundays.

While they were still eating, Sebastian enters with Eiran behind him. Eiran looks fresh and happy, like a morning person while Sebastian in his usual cold and authoritative demeanor looks like an angry person.

Akira stand up as respect for her boss and sits down after he takes a seat. And while everybody is having breakfast Diana announces that her and Akira will be going shopping today.

"So a girls' day out then?" Eiran says smirking

"Pretty much" Diana says smiling as she puts some more food in his plate.

Akira is quietly eating her food in peace when Sebastian says to her "Akira meet me in my office after breakfast"

She nods as a reply. What? She hadn't done anything recently...had she?

After the breakfast, Akira helped Diana put away the dishes and then proceeded to her boss's office. Did she do something wrong? She hadn't beaten anybody lately...she has been living a pretty sober lifestyle.

Before she knew it, she was standing in front of two the dark imposing doors. She knocked and stepped inside when a firm "Enter" sounded from within.

She didn’t salute—he had told her not to when they were at home-, Instead, she stood with her hands behind her back, her posture attentive and composed.

“Sir,” she said, her voice steady.

He stares at her and nods before bringing out a card and sliding it towards Akira. "We couldn't find any account under your name to deposit your salary into" He says, his voice still somehow cold as ever "so an account under your name has been opened and this is the card. It contains two months worth of salary."

She moves forward and carefully picks up the card and looks at it. She gets money? She looks at him with a shine in her eyes and he notices it before she could mask it up. She clears her throat before saying in an eerily cold voice "Thank you sir"

He nods and then continues "do you have a phone?"

She's now back to her attentive stance as she answers "no sir"

He then says "you are going shoping today, ask my mom to buy one for you"

"Yes sir" she answers

He goes back to signing some documents which served as a dismissal for Akira. So she quitely gets out of the room. While walking down the hallways towards her room, she carefully tucks the card into one of the pockets in her cargo jeans.

Time skip

Akira and Diana make their way inside the mall. Akira looks around with the expression of indifference on her face while her eyes glowed with the lights.

Diana asks Akira bringing her attention to the matters at hand "What do you wanna get first?"

Akira decides "a Phone?"

Diana looks at Akira, shocked "you don't have one?"

Akira shakes her head in a no. As a result, Diana leads her towards a gadget store. They both take their time and decide on a phone, which means that Akira quitely nods along as Diana questions a worker there about hundreds of different phones and then ultimately comes to a decision.

While at the checkout, Akira takes out her card to pay for it but Diana swipes hers first. "You need to save your money" Diana says sternly before Akira could say anything.

After getting the phone, they both wander towards the clothes section. Where Akira gets a trouser and a hoodie. Diana is absolutely furious by how little clothing Akira is getting for herself.

"You just have like 5 clothes, and all you get is 2 more" Diana says getting exasperated.

And with that Diana starts to fill up baskets upon baskets of clothes which Akira carries while walking with her. There are all sorts of clothes t shirts, shirts , trousers, jeans, hoodies, sweaters, etc. When they enter dresses section, Diana asks Akira "have you ever worn a dress?"

To which she replies "...No?"

"Will you try one on?" Diana says with excitement radiating off her.

"No" Akira says slowly stepping back from Diana

"Come on, one for me?" Diana says showing a yellow sun dress into Akira's hands.

"I don't-" but Akira's refusals go unheard as Diana sweety asks her to wear it just once, for her, and that she won't buy it if she doesn't like it.

Of course, Akira doesn't stand a chance against Diana when it comes to this. So she dejectedly enters the trial room. Diana sweetly waits outside, excited to see a girl who's style is so masculine, wear something so different from her style.

Akira's door opens and Diana perks up. "How's it?" She asks excitedly

"Umm..I can't close the zipper.." Akira says quitely.

"Do you want me to help you?" Diana asks stepping forward

Akira nods.

"Turn around" Diana says

Akira turns around to reveal the zip closed until half her back. Diana noticed how tense tense she was and felt had for forcing her to do this. So she quickly tried to close the zip but- what's that? The fuck-

Diana's face pales and she looks like she'd a ghost as she staggers back. She took hold of the door to steady her. Akira looked at the pale faced Diana through the mirror and turned around "what happened?" She asked quickly

Diana just shook her head as her legs gave up on her and she slid down to the floor. Akira was confused and worried at this behaviour. She quickly picked her up and lead her towards the couch outside the trial room. After sitting her there she quickly went indside and changed back into her clothes.

Getting out of the trial room, Akira notices Diana hyperventilating. She tries to tell her to breathe evenly but to no avail as Diana passes out. She checks her pulse and mutters to herself "low BP".

She picks up the woman and carries her down to the car they arrived on. The chauffeur inside doesn't notice her approaching . So, she kicks the door with intensity that makes the car shake. The chauffeur comes running out to open the door.

"You've one fucking job" she seethes at the chauffeur who looks scared for his life while holding open the door, before settling the unconscious Diana inside.

"To their family doctor" Akira says to the driver as she seats herself and fastens a seatbelt around Diana.

The driver, scared for the unconscious body in the car, blew every single red light on the way, reaching the hospital in record time. Akira quickly carried the unconscious Diana into the hospital. She looks around and then walks towards the receptionist who is staring at her pale faced.

"Call their family doctor" She harshly orders the receptionist who flinches at her tone and quickly nods.

She picks up a telephone near her "emergency, Dr. Nakamura you are requested here...it's Ms. Volkov."

She ends the call at that and a middle aged japanese doctor rushes towards Akira within a minute of it.

"Dr. Nakamura" He introduces himself and then "please come with me"

He leads Akira who is carrying the unconscious Diana into a standard hospital room with a bed. She lays Diana down on the bed and then speaks up as Dr. Nakamura starts checking her pulse and blood pressure "low blood pressure caused her to faint"

Dr. Nakamura nods "yes, her blood pressure is still dangerous low."

"Was she hyperventilating before passing out?" He asks Akira

"Yes" she answers

"Do you know what triggered her?" He asks and then adds "she is stabilizing."

"No" she answers him.

He turns around to look at her "she should wake up soon now."

She nods and Mr. Nakamura exits the room. Akira sits down on the couch near the bed when the door bursts open. She quickly stands up just to notice that it's Leo and Kai. Both of them were holding helmets and a worried look on their faces, however Leo's face looked more angry then worried or sad.

"What the fuck happened?" He asks angrily as he made his way towards their mother.

Kai comes to stand on the other side of his mother and asks Akira softly "what happened Akira?"

"She started hyperventilating and then passed out." Akira answers plainly

Kai looks worriedly at his mom while Leo delicately pushes a hair strand from his mother's face. He stares at her for a while before looking up with anger blazing in his eyes and striding towards Akira. He grabs the collars of her shirt with his hands and asks harshly "what did you do to her?"

Her eyes blaze with anger as well as she roughly pushes him off her and answers with hardly controlled anger "nothing" This instigates Leo as he tries punching her in the face. She dodges his punch by skipping sideways before delivering a punch of her own. Before they both realise, they're both trading blows, their movements fucked with rage, while kai makes unsuccessful attempts at separating them.

This chaos of punches and anger is only stopped when Eiran enters and separates them both. Akira had a busted lip, while Leo's left eye had started to swell. They both stare daggers at each other as they stand, held back with Eiran and kai.

"What are you doing?!" Eiran asks holding back Akira while kai holds back Leo

"Mom is unconscious with low BP after hyperventilating" Leo states and then adds heatedly "ask her what she did to make her start hyperventilating?!"

"What?" Eiran is shocked and then he asks Akira while trying not to make his eyes or voice look accusatory "why was she hyperventilating Akira?"

"I don't fucking know-" she answers harshly, still full of rage, and is cut off by Sebastian entering the room.

He takes in the scene - Leo and Akira being held back by Eiran and kai - and asks rather calmly "what's going on?"

"These two are ready to kill each other" Eiran says still holding firmly onto Akira as Kai does the same with Leo.

Sebastian nods in understanding but his eyes find his mother before he could resolve this issue. He walks towards his peacefully sleeping mother and stands near her, staring at her. He opens his mouth to ask about details of this accident when Akira suddenly shrugs free of Eiran and storms out.

Akira's shoulder collided with Dr. Nakamura while she walked down the hallway, still furious. Dr.Nakamura turned around but she was gone before he could do or say anything so he continues on his way to Ms. Volkov's room.

"It's nothing to worry about Sebastian" Dr. Nakamura reassured him. He had known this whole family way too long for the formalities. These boys were like his own kids to him.

"Why would she be hyperventilating?" Eiran asks, worried "That stopped years ago"

Dr. Nakamura nods sorrowfully "I don't know, maybe something reminded her of the past, brought back memories.."

They all quitened at that and Dr. Nakamura left them there. Everybody was lost in their thoughts when Diana's groans broke the silence.

"Mom, you okay?" Leo dashed to her from the couch and asked in a soft voice.

"Yea- Leo what happened to you baby?" She asks softly touching his face near his bruised eye.

"Umm.. nothing-" Leo responds like a child caught in the act, quickly turning away to avoid her scolding.

Sebastian helps her sit up straight. Eiran wants to ask what had happened to bring her here but then what Dr. Nakamura had said came to his mind. Past, memories...if they were enough to start make her hyperventilating then, then they could do so that now too-

"Mom what happened?" A worried Kai asks.

-well down the drain go my plans, Eiran thinks.

Her eyes go wide as if suddenly remembering something and then she utters through uneven breaths "where..is..A-Akira?"

Kai looks around for her and then remembers how she had stormed off earlier.

"I'll go get her" He says rushed before running off, not wanting her to start hyperventilating again.

Where did she go? Kai thinks as he runs into the hall to not find her there. He decides that the receptionist must know. "How you seen the girl that-that carried our mom here?" He asks her through rushes breaths.

The woman thinks and then answers "yes she..I think she headed to the park" she points to the park infront of the hospital.

"Ok-thanks-" he says before running out into the park across the road.

He looks around only to find old people being walked by some nurses. He walks to another section of the park - the gym area - and there he sees a young boy punching away at the bag with great strength and technique. He would be lying if he said that he was half as good as him.

He walks on the pavement, which leads him towards that guy hitting away at the punching bag- wait guy? That's Akira! He suddenly realised and jumps over the bushes towards her. "Hey Akira!" He shouts to gain her attention. And she turns around towards him.

She seemed visibly calmer as she asks "what?"

"Mom's just woken up and she's asking for you" he explains to her

She nods and then starts to walk back along with him towards the hospital. They both enter the room from which she had stormed out off earlier.

"Akira" Diana says breathlessly immediately as she enters.

Akira approached the bed slowly. "Yes?" She stopped herself from addressing her as 'ma'am' as she did every so often.

"Oh Akira" Diana says softly as she caressed her face with her hand. "Oh my baby, I've looked for you everywhere? I am so sorry I couldn't protect you. Oh my Iris.."

The silence in the room is suffocating as everybody stares wide eyed at the scene unfolding infront of their eyes.

"Did you hurt your head mom?" Eiran asks worriedly as he move towards her to check her head. Diana takes his hands in hers and smiles at everybody.

"Akira, baby, I am your mother"
