Mirabella

I sneaked towards the back and found the swimming pool.. I hugged myself as the cold air hit my body.. I crouched down and touched the water which felt freezing.. Perfect!

I removed my shoes before entering the swimming pool and dunked my head inside.. The feeling of suffocation made me forget all the bad memories and focus on the fact that I need to survive..

Once I reached my limits, I got out and gasped for air.. I let my breathing normal before again dunking my head down.. The coldness of water hit my bones and made me shiver.. All the memories started to blurr as I started to feel suffocated.. That's what I wanted...

I got my head out of the water and gasped.. My head felt dizzy from lack of oxygen.. I swamped towards the edge and held the railing to get up.. I saw on the last step but my hand slipped and before I knew, my head hit the concrete and I hissed.. I felt something warm dripping.. Touching my forehead, I saw red.. The previous dizziness intensified and I feet slipped and I fell back in the water.. The cold numbed the pain and I felt myself getting numb as well..

I can't die... Save me...

By the time we realized that Mirabella is with none of us, we all started searching the mansion.. She wasn't out for sure because one, she knows nothing here and two, the guards would know anyway and inform us before letting her go.. I searched the library but she is not there.. Usually she sits there.. I ran down and decided to go to the backside where the pool is.. I know for a reason Mirabella loved the pool area when her eyes sparkled.. We have a pool back in New York as well but of course she doesn't know..

I saw a baby pink fur slippers from distance and I saw her wearing them ever since she went to shopping with grandma.. She only bought 2 pairs of slippers, two jeans, 3 tops and 3 hoodies.. I swear I'll spoil this little one so much..

But she doesn't know that Dante already arranged her wardrobe in our villa..

As I walked near, I saw blonde hair floating on the water.. What... The... fuck?!?!?

"DAD!!! DANTE!!! “

I screamed before jumping in the water and I felt like freezing... as I swimmed near, I saw the redness around her and cursed..

I heard another splash and it was Antonio.. I held her and pulled her head out of the water.. The cold was making it hard to pull her to the edge..

Antonio grabbed her and we both pulled her towards the edge.. Ezaikel pulled her out and Xander started doing CPR so the water that already entered can come out..

" Please... "

I heard Xander murmur while giving cpr..

Antonio jumped out and Ezaikel helped me out.. Antonio sat beside her head and started doing mouth to mouth cpr..

A minute later, she coughed out water and gasped for air.. Xander flipped her to sides and started patting her back hardly.. Dante passed me and Antonio towels before wrapping Mirabella into one.. I almost freezed being there one minute.. What the fuck was she doing?!

She breathed heavily and Antonio helped her sit..

Dante wrapped another towel around her before picking her up and walked inside.. I looked around for dad who only stared from afar..

"Dad...?“

He looked like he was in his thoughts and I patted his back which made him snap out..

" Let's go inside.. "

He looked at me and for the first time I saw him this vulnerable..

"It's my fault... If I hadn't said those, she would've been with any of you.. Safe... "

He whispered and walked away.. I signed and rather than going towards the medical wing, I run up to my room and changed my clothes.. It's honestly cold and I don't wanna get sick.. I got clothes for Antonio and Mirabella before walking in the hallway where everyone stood..

I didn't see uncle Ace and Matteo but Grandma and grandpa sat there.. Even dad didn't come.. Soon Xander came out and we all surrounded him.. Antonio followed behind and I gave him clothes.. He passed me a greatful smile and went to another room to change..

"How is she? What happened?! "

Grandma asked and Xander signed..

"There is a cut on her forehead which caused bleeding and her body temperature dropped alot which caused her to faint.. She is fine now and will wake up after few hours.. "

We all signed in relief.. Antonio came back and stood beside Xander..

"You all can go and rest.. I'll monitor her.. "

We wanted to argue to stay behind but grandpa made it clear to leave.. I signed and walked out..

Antonio

As everyone walked out, I turned to Xander and we both nodded before entering the room.. Mirabella laid down unconscious and we were sure she won't be awake in next few hours.. We both got to her each side and I turned her to sides carefully and put pillows for support..

Xander handed me scissors and I carefully cut the back of the hospital dress..

My breath hitched at the side and Xander walked besides me before letting out curses..

"Fuck fuck fuck!! This can't happen!! No!!! “

I sat back at the stool and covered my face with my hands..

" She was trying to tell me.. "

"What....? "

I looked up to him..

"That night.. I saw her awake in the kitchen and we had talks.. And when I said that I'm a doctor too, she was excited.. "

I signed and walked towards the window..

"I knew she wanted to tell me something.. And when I asked her if she was hurt, she almost said yes before saying no... "

Xander punched the wall and pulled his hair..

"What are we gonna do now...? "

He asked and I stared out for a moment..

"Let's postponed our leave for a day.. I'll treat her primarily for now and ask her tomorrow.. Good if she says it herself or else I'll go for another way.. "

I said and picked up some things before walking to Mirabella.. I pushed the cloth to side and disinfected the area and applying healing cream.. These scars are not something you get from mere beating.. She was tortured and I can guarantee that.. Her back is slashed with knife multiple times and only a few days old.. few looked like old but the wound kept opening from constant abuse and left some nasty scars...

But then a thought crossed my mind.. If she was abused this bad.. Did anyone-

"Xander?! "

I yelled and he hummed walking to me..

"What is it..? "

"I might be crazy but I am thinking if... If she was taken advantage of! "

He looked murderously at me and I shook my head..

"I don't know but this.. This could happen.. But we still don't know! "

I saw him trembling with anger... Xander is the most composed brother among us.. And the fact that he reacted like this meant how mad he is.. He stormed out of the room to probably cool off..

Though I want to cool off as well but right now she is most important.. I let the cream dry a bit before laying her down and covered her with sheets..

I wonder what dad is doing..

Mirabella

I woke up feeling a stinging pain on my forehead.. I groaned and opened my eyes to meet the white ceiling.. I layed confused until I remembered I hit my head and became unconscious..

I signed and sat up straight.. Surprisingly my back felt less painful today.. I looked around and flinched seeing Antonio sitting there and looking dead to me..

"How are you feeling..? "

His voice horse and a hit of anger in it.. K nodded at him...

"Mirabella Alexander Russo... You want to tell me something? I'm not fucking taking any nonsense... "

Did he...?

I neared him.. . I gotta tell him.. I can't fuck with my health anymore now that I have chance..

"You won't judge? "

He shook his head..

"Never... "

"Will it be between us? You won't tell others? "

He suspiciously looked at me..

"I can't promise you that Bambina.. If it's something medically needed, I need to inform Xander.. Dad is a must person to know and Dante will go on a killing spree if I don't inform him.. "

So many people? Fuck...
