(POV In-ho/Frontman)
I shushed his protest by passionately pressing my lips on his and he instantly kissed me back without even trying to fight it. Damn he made me go insane, I wished I could stay locked in a room with him forever. I touched every inch of his body and spread kisses wherever I could until I heard him moan; a sound that made me even hornier than I already was. I disappeared under the blanket to make him even crazier – if he wanted to hate me then I would make it as hard (haha :D) as possible for him. I was about to go all in as we were interrupted by someone knocking on the door.
"Boss, the next vote is about to take place." A guards voice sounded through the door and I let out an annoyed sigh as Gi-hun tried to get up. I held on to his thighs and looked out from under the covers, determined to tease him: "You sure you want me to stop? I'm far from done with you." I grinned at him provocatively and he shook his head, still breathless.
"You are incredible", he laughed, "but your staff is probably already suspecting something so we better avoid giving them any more clues."
I pouted but I knew he was right. It was time to face reality and to go back being Frontman and Player 456 again. As we got dressed I felt the awkward silence falling over us – would we act like it never happened? Did he feel regret? Should we act like strangers now? Or enemies? "Enemies who ended up in bed", I murmured out loud and he shrugged his shoulders: "That's probably what we should call it."
"So that's it? We go back to fighting each other now? I don't want to be your enemy, you know.", I sighed, suddenly feeling indescribably sad. "When I told you how much you mean to me every word of it was true."
Gi-hun slowly nodded: "I believe you. But I'm not over it all yet. I am sorry." He rubbed his eyes to avoid getting emotional and turned to leave. I told the surprised guard to escort him to his room and stayed behind alone.
(POV Gi-hun)
Even through the guard's mask I could tell that he was shocked to see me come out of the Frontman's bedroom but he didn't say a word when he led the way back to mine. I was deep in my thoughts and remained quiet as well. It felt like a massive weight on my shoulders: there was this man who against my will had grown one of the most important people in my life and apparently he felt the same way. The only problem was that he was my worst enemy, the one who had put me and hundreds of other people in this misery. I lay down on my bed and hoped time could numb the pain and maybe fill the emptiness I felt since he was gone. 'All wounds can be healed by time', I thought and hoped for my aching heart to get better, but as always time heals so slow.
I tried to distract myself by watching how the remaining 49 player's vote would take place but I couldn't focus; I got carried away all the time. One by one the players came forth and pressed either the X or the O but I didn't pay attention, by the end they probably wouldn't make it out of here alive. Frustrated I lied back on my bed as I suddenly heard a guard speaking from the screen: "Players, all of you successfully voted, 23 for O and 26 for X. Due to your decision the games will be canceled with immediate effect. So far 40,7 billion won have been deposited. Since the reward will be shared everyone of you will receive an amount of 830.612.245 won. Congratulations."
...what? I couldn't believe I was hearing this right... the games were stopped? For real? The players were all free to go and could also take the winning amount with them? I was still staring at the screen as suddenly the door opened again and a guard came in without hesitating. "Gi-hun, it's me, Mi-na. Take your mask and come with me, now!", she said and I did what I was told in confusion. "Why, what happened?", I asked. She took my sleeve and made me hurry behind her. "Since the games are to be canceled my brother has to talk to the VIPs and you should be there as well since he wants you to be his right hand."
When we entered the room the VIPs were already gathered and debating heatedly: "... can't allow that, we never approved of this new rule." "Who came up with that?" "The Frontman changed, something is odd about him." "Maybe this is about that handsome guy who is now the Frontman's right hand." "He has grown weak over the years, maybe one should replace him."
The familiar robotic voice made them shut up: the Frontman himself had appeared. "Greetings. All of you have been aware that this year the rules were modified: Players had the chance to vote after every game if they want to continue or leave with the reward. Today another vote has taken place and the majority has decided to stop and leave with the money." The Frontman paused and turned, so he was directly looking at me as he continued: "Gentlemen, I very much regret to tell you that the games are over."
