Author's note: This chapter will be the story of Jun-ho and Mi-na coming to Frontman's rescue so if it doesn't interest you, you can skip it (don't do it, it's good haha). Next chapter we'll continue with Gi-hun and In-ho's storyline.

(POV Jun-ho/Policeman)

After discovering that Captain Park was the traitor among us I had enough of senseless searching by boat because I increasingly felt like Dora the explorer – a very unsuccessful explorer. When I heard that one of our mercenaries had once been a pilot I came up with another genius plan: We managed to steal a helicopter from the Korean police, my former employer, and decided to search for evidence by air. We didn't have much time left, at least four games must've already taken place – and if Gi-hun was already dead then no one could help us from the inside. And my brother... I felt bad about not giving In-ho away, not telling anyone that he was behind this, but deep down I knew that there was still good in him. After I found out that the captain was the traitor I had interrogated him and he had confessed that In-ho once instructed him to pull me out of the water after he had shot me to fall off that cliff, and also to keep me away from the island. Technically In-ho saved my life so I owed him.

Another day had passed and I watched the sun go down from the helicopter which was approaching the cost, preparing for landing. As I looked down I saw some small fisher boats and also something bigger, like a ferry. Deep in my thoughts I watched the ferry go towards the port and instinctively started counting the silver vans that were parking on deck. 10 silver vans, just like those vans I once... WAIT A SECOND.

I gasped jumping up from my chair and shouted: "THE FERRY! GUYS! IT'S THE FERRY! Prepare for boarding NOW!" I explained to the confused men how I had been on a ferry exactly like this years ago with silver vans exactly like those. It had to be the ship with the players on board, for some reason already bringing them back to the mainland. The helicopter flew over the ferry and we took our ropes to abseil down, the machine guns prepared. As I landed on deck I instantly saw them: the masked guards in the pink overalls, 10 with circle-masks and one with a square-mask, him being the only one armed. "EVERYONE HANDS BEHIND YOUR HEAD AND DOWN ON THE GROUND!", I shouted, my gun pointing at the armed square-guard. Taken by surprise the guards did as they were told when I suddenly heard a voice, weirdly alternated by the mask: "Jun-ho?" I winced; it was the square-guard who had called me by my name.

"Who are you? How do you know my name?", I yelled and stepped forward, my gun pointing directly at the guard's heart. He raised his arms and again I heard the weird voice: "Let me take off my mask, Jun-ho, please." I slowly nodded, the gun ready to fire in case the guard tried to play a trick on me. Then he – she took off her mask and I gasped, the girl behind the mask was a familiar face.

"Mi-na? Lee Mi-na?" The light hair and bright eyes were unmistakable. Lee Mi-na was the younger sister of Hwang Min-jung, In-ho's late wife. Both had been adopted by their parents, Min-jung from Asia and Mi-na from Europe – I remembered that when Min-jung needed a liver transplant she had no blood relatives so she couldn't get a partial liver donation. I knew that both of their parents had already passed away and the sisters had always been very close – and when Min-jung died Mi-na was alone with no family left except In-ho, her brother-in-law. Last time I saw her was at Min-jung's funeral, nine years ago, Mi-na being only a teenager of 17 – but she clearly grew up. A young woman in her twenties, who apparently knew how to use a gun.

"Jun-ho", she said urgently, "Jun-ho, I need your help. All these people in the vans are alive and no one's going to harm them. They chose to leave the games and we're escorting them back to Seoul. Tell your people they can verify if I tell the truth, let them check every van. But they're all innocent people who were players taking part in the games." I gave my men a wink and they started checking the vans as Mi-na continued talking: "I know you've been searching for the island for years now. I can tell you which island, I need you to come with me, please."

"Since the players seem to be evacuated why would I go back to the island with you? Why would I believe one word you say, Mi-na? Where is Seong Gi-hun? And In-ho? What did In-ho do?", I snapped, again pointing the gun at her and she took a deep breath, approaching me, completely ignoring the gun until she was directly in front of me.

"They're both on the island and last time I saw them they were both fine –but something there is odd, I overheard the guards talking and it sounded like some conspiracy. Jun-ho, if I am right then both of them are in danger, even though In-ho will probably protect Gi-hun with his life, if it's the two of them against the VIPs as well as hundreds of guards they don't stand a chance."

"In-ho will protect Gi-hun with his life? What is that supposed to mean?", I asked in confusion and Mi-na suddenly avoided my gaze: "They made some kind of... special agreement, I guess...", she finally admitted. "But nonetheless they could die tonight if we don't act at once!" Again her light-colored eyes met mine and I could see despair and fear to lose In-ho, her brother-in-law... my brother. I knew in a blink that I had to help her.

"Fine, we'll take the helicopter, we'll be faster. But what about the guards here? Can we trust them with bringing the players back to the port?", I asked.

"Leave one or two of your men here to supervise everything, none of the circle-guards are armed. I'll go with you and lead the way to the island.", she suggested and I nodded slowly: "You have grown up, Mi-na. You're not the little girl anymore." She even gave me a smirk as she took off the pink overall and picked up her gun. "Now's not the time for sentimentality... but save it for later if you want."

Mi-na showed us the way to the island and my comrades got less skeptical of her, probably mainly because she happened to be a charming girl. "There it is", she said, pointing down at an island not that far from the mainland. I shook my head in surprise: "Wow, I was running in circles, searching for this fcking island for two years and here it was, right under my nose.", I snorted a little embarrassed.

The helicopter landed and less than 20 meters further Mi-na showed us a hatch where we could get into the island. I immediately recognized the corridors in playful colors and later the black ornamented rooms in the management area. First we tried Gi-hun's room but the door was wide open and no one inside. I had an uneasy feeling as we went forward to the Frontman's chambers and suddenly I heard Mi-na swear: "Fck." The Frontman's door had violently been forced open with bullets. When we entered we saw shunted furniture that had probably been blocking the door to keep the pursuer outside.

"They probably tried to escape under water", Mi-na said and was already climbing into a tube whose entry was open. The troop followed and we were just discovering the destroyed diving equipment as we heard the noise of metal struggling as it was maltreated: someone seemed to try to force entry through a door further down the tunnel. We followed the bangs and stopped abruptly as we saw around fifty masked people in pink overalls slamming on a massive iron door. Since we were still behind a corner they hadn't seen us yet and I knew that this would be our chance: take them by surprise by attacking from behind. "Damn, it's really the dudes from Casa de papel", I heard one man whisper, then we took our guns and aimed.
