(POV In-ho)

"I'm sorry, sir, I'm afraid you have to be Swedish citizen if you intend to have a valid marriage. But since South Korea is not nearly a part of the European Union, you're not entitled to get the documents you need for getting married. My apologies."

Aghast I stared at the guy behind the desk at Stockholm's registry office. This was the third time someone had told me that I couldn't marry Gi-hun because we didn't have some European citizenship.

'Why the fck do they allow same-sex marriages if it's not possible for foreigners? That's just not fair.', I thought, leaving the registry office in discourage. I had planned to meet Jun-ho for coffee; Gi-hun and I had spent some weeks with him and Mi-na in Sweden after our engagement in Germany – but now my brother had some news for me. I entered the coffee shop and saw him already sitting at a table with 2 cups of coffee in front of him. 'Good boy, I raised him well', I thought with a little ironic smirk as I sat down next to him.

"Hello, brother", Jun-ho greeted me and immediately noticed the ill-tempered look on my face, "What happened to you? You look like your birthday had been canceled this year."

I gave him a withering look then I started complaining: "You can count yourself lucky that your love happens to be a girl – seriously, no fcking registry office is willing to make an exception for Gi-hun and me, because we are from Asia. I'm so sick of this, the odds are never in our favor!" I inhaled to vent my anger, I wasn't done yet: "Imagine if Mi-na really finds her real parents here: she'll probably get the Swedish citizenship and the two of you are free to get married easily or do whatever you want."

Jun-ho coughed. "Yeah that's kind of what I wanted to talk to you about: we've been in Stockholm since February and now it's almost June and we didn't find any trace of her parents. In-ho, we're leaving Sweden, we'll move to Amsterdam."

"The Netherlands?", I asked. "Isn't that the country where everyone is high because you can legally do drugs?"

Jun-ho laughed: "I guess so, I've never been there... but I'm worried about Mi-na. Yesterday she said the exact same thing to me you told me earlier: The odds are never in our favor. I don't want this whole thing to tear her apart. She needs some distraction, she's doing nothing else that focusing on finding those people who gave her away when she was a toddler."

I sighed, Jun-ho was right, maybe Mi-na needed to focus on something else for some time – same as me, who had been trying and failing to get a wedding appointment for a month now. But the talking about Amsterdam gave me an idea: "You know what, we'll come with you. Gi-hun and I we'll entertain Mi-na and maybe I can convince some lawyer over there to wed us – at least if he's on drugs. So when are we leaving?"

(POV Gi-hun)

Those Hwang-brothers and their penchant for spontaneous actions. From one day to the other they had decided that we all should go to Amsterdam.

It was a beautiful city, no question, and everything was fun and games until In-ho and Jun-ho came up with the plan to get st0ned tonight. "Come on, Gi-hun, we need to distract Mi-na a little. Besides I don't think we really plan on smoking something, we'll probably just go out for some drinks.", In-ho convinced me. "Besides, I love how horny you are every time you are drunk." I rolled my eyes and slapped him with my Netherlands-travel-guidebook.

In the end I didn't remember why I was playing the spoilsport because it was hella fun. After the first drink all four of us were in a perfect mood, talking without any inhibition.

"I'm sick of searching this whole continent for people who gave me away 25 years ago.", Mi-na complained, "I never thought Europe had this many countries. We already tried Switzerland, Germany, Norway and Sweden. If it's not the Netherlands, what country should be next?Belgium? Poland?"

"You should try Poland", I yelled, my voice louder than usual because of the alcohol in my body, "The cliché says that they also know how to make strong drinks." In fact I heard about many countries where the people only seemed to drink from dusk till dawn – one cliché about foreigners following the other.

"That's right", In-ho confirmed, "In Germany the beer, in Czech Republic the Slivovitz, and whatever they put in the drinks here in the Netherlands, it's fcking nice! I really could get used to European culture, if it wasn't for me trying to failing to get a wedding appointment." I froze; I had no idea that In-ho had been struggling. "Darling, is this true? Have there been issues?", I asked, wrapping my arm around his shoulders. In-ho was remorseful and placed his head on my shoulder: "Yes, sorry for not telling you. I keep trying to talk to those dudes at the registry offices but they refuse to make an exception. I don't know what to do, honestly." I smiled and kissed him on his hair.

"Then we should blackmail them... or perhaps some good old-fashioned threatening can help? You may be a little short, but you are the Frontman, remember?" I laughed, I knew how he hated when I mentioned that he was only 1,76 meters tall while I had 1,80.

In-ho punched me and gave me a provocative look: "Yeah I may be the Frontman but if you're not careful I'll be the backman later, Player 456." Mi-na and Jun-ho made a "Too much information"-sound while warm shivers were running down my body.

"In case you forgot we're both the backmen, Player 001.", I answered and In-ho blushed.

"Dude, are you intending to give us some details?", Jun-ho asked sarcastically while Mi-na chuckled tipsy: "No seriously, I'm curious: was it any weird for you, since you both only had sexual relations with women before? Or did you... just know what to do?" In-ho continued blushing, resembling more and more to a tomato while I didn't feel any uncomfortable answering her:

"Honestly no, it wasn't weird. Actually it happened for the first time after I had burst into his room after I got super drunk with the VIPs back at the Squid Games. I was supposed to hate him, but I guess your brother here successfully seduced me." I kissed In-ho on the cheek while he tried to correct me: "Hey, you were the one seducing me while I was trying to be a gentleman! I wanted to respect that you hated me, but in the end you were... quite convincing."

"Well apparently I didn't hate you as much as I might have wanted to.", I answered and In-ho grinned. Gosh, those perfect teeth never ceased to impress! Mi-na and Jun-ho laughed, his arm around her. "At least you weren't as shy as Jun-ho. It took ages until he finally made a move. I basically had to undress and jump on him so he understood he didn't have to be so polite all the time.", Mi-na said and Jun-ho instantly defended himself: "How was I supposed to know that you liked me? Besides, one should always be careful to approach a girl who knows how to use a gun." Mi-na rolled her eyes and as Jun-ho kissed her they started making out – the perfect opportunity for us. I grabbed In-ho's shirt and pulled him close to me, kissing him passionately. His hand wandered under my shirt and I gasped when his nails scratched over my naked skin. Luckily it was quite dark in the bar and there were many couples making out, so no one payed attention to us. My hand was on its way to open the button of his pants as he stopped me. "Let's go somewhere more private", he murmured into my ear, stood up and pulled me behind him towards the restrooms.

'Perks of being a same-sex-couple: you can easily go into the same bathroom if you ever need some privacy in public.', I thought as we disappeared in a vacant cabin and did whatever we had to do.

"Even if we can't get married, I'll be okay as long as I can have s*x withyou.", I said breathlessly as we got dressed again, both of our heartbeats still racing and our cheeks burning red. In-ho grinned, buttoning up his white shirt, covering the perfect muscles of his chest. Sadly.

"We'll find something. I'm the Frontman, remember? I promise you, I'll make the odds be ever in our favor."

Don't hesitate to mention your nationality in the comments if u want, I'm curious :)

Will In-ho manage to get a wedding appointment or will they have to cancel it all? Stay tuned as always
