(POV Gi-hun)

"25/07/25Gi-hun & In-ho" The wedding invitation cards were not that spectacular but we didn't need that much extra stuff. We chose a location in Brussels above the river with a nice view. Mi-na's father was ready, standing in front of the gathered crowd, who were sitting on chairs, waiting for us. I took a deep breath, checking in the mirror if my black suit and the white shirt was fitting well. "It's okay, daddy", my daughter said and I took her little hand in mine.

Since we were both men we didn't want one of us taking the role of the 'bride' – so we would walk both up to the altar, escorted by a family member, me from the left side and In-ho from the right. My Ga-yeong would walk me and In-ho would be escorted by his stepmother, Jun-ho's mum. I was so excited I couldn't breathe. Behind those curtains there was this wonderful man and he would actually be mine, officially united in marriage. Wow. 'Player 456 marrying the Frontman', I thought with a disbelieving grin, 'who would've thought.' I was interrupted by Mi-na who looked through the curtain: "Gi-hun, the registrar is now ready.", she announced and disappeared. I took a deep breath, softly squeezing my daughter's hand. "Good luck, daddy.", she whispered, then the curtain was lifted and I felt like I was in trance as I was walking towards the altar.

That was when I saw him. In-ho accompanied by his stepmother was coming in my direction, where we would meet in the middle. He looked stunning, wearing a black suit with a black shirt underneath, his maroon hair shining and the fire burning in his eyes. When his gaze met mine he smiled, a smile as wide and radiant, it took my breath away. In-ho was ridiculously beautiful and he was about to be mine, only mine. Insane happiness flooded though me, bliss and perfection. I was speechless and just stared at him in admiration as we met at the altar, taking each other's hands.

"Hello, Gi-hun", he whispered, still smiling like a sunbeam and I blinked, trying to overcome my speechlessness. "Hi", I whispered back and I felt my lips forming a disbelieving smile as well. Our eyes stayed locked for a moment and again I felt like time had stood still.

Mi-na's father cleared his throat and we reluctantly turned to him so he could begin.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join together this man and this man in Lawful Matrimony. Marriage is a sacred and joyous covenant, which should be entered into reverently. Spouses should give to each other companionship, comfort, and support in times of prosperity as well as in times of adversity. Marriage has been guarded and esteemed through the ages for the stability and happiness it brings to the individual, the family, and the community. Therefore, the uniting of two individuals, from two separate families and backgrounds, to establish a new family, is an important and memorable event. For us, attached as we are to the grooms by special bonds and affections, the uniting of these two people in heart, body, and mind is an occasion of great significance, which we can all celebrate."

His words sounded so official, I slowly realized that this was really happening. Me and this beautiful man next to me were really standing here to become each other's husband and family by law, choosing to spend the rest of our lives together.

The registrar continued: "Please now repeat after me." In-ho exhaled, turning to me, taking both of my hands in his. He repeated after the registrar and I got lost in his hoarse voice: "I, Hwang In-ho...take thee, Seong Gi-hun...to be my lawful husband... to have and to hold... from this day forward,... for better or for worse,... forricher or for poorer,... in sickness and in health,... to love and to cherish, until death do us part." A tear ran down his face as he fervently vowed: "I do."

He smiled through his tears giving me a look full of joyful expectation. I knew that now it was my turn to repeat after the registrar and I deeply swallowed, hoping that I had regained my voice. Then it was time.

"I, Seong Gi-hun... take thee, Hwang In-ho...to be my lawful husband" Husband. Such a beautiful word, something that described that he was mine, only mine.

"To have and to hold... from this day forward,... for better or for worse,... for richer or for poorer,... in sickness and in health,..." Of course I would be with him, whatever would happen to us. We had been through it all, the games, the Frontman, the death... and love had conquered it all. The power of love had triumphed in the end.

"...to love and to cherish, until death do us part." I would never want to live without him and I would be his as long as we both may live. My voice broke and I realized that I was crying when I sobbed: "I do."

In-ho's smile became even wider and I wanted to pull him at me and never letting go – but I couldn't because we weren't done yet. There was still the ring-part left.

"The wedding ring is a symbol of unity, a circle unbroken, without beginning or end. It is a seal of the vows In-ho and Gi-hun have made to one another.", the registrar announced and we knew what we hadto say:

"With this ring I thee wed, with my body I thee worship. I give you this ring as a symbol of what we promised each other todayand of what we share." We both put the ring on each other's finger, and I felt my heart beating like crazy when Mi-na's father announced the final words:

"Gi-hun and In-ho, you have both made the declarations prescribed by law and have made a solemn and binding contract with each other in the presence of the witnesses here assembled. It therefore gives me the greatest honor and privilege to announce that you are now husband and husband together." I couldn't believe it. It was actually done. "You may now kiss."

"Well, finally.", I heard In-ho murmur as I overcame the distance between us, pressing my lips on his. He wrapped his arms around me, leaning in even closer, no fcks given about everyone watching us. We both smiled into the kiss, insanely happy and just feeling complete. It was true, he really completed me, Player 456 was nothing without his No 001.

"You'll always be my number 001, you know", I murmured against his lips and he grinned. "Shut it." Then he continued kissing me. The guests were clapping and cheering, throwing rice and rose petals in the air. It was one perfect day, the first day of a perfect life together. We were now lawfully married and nothing could keep us apart. There were our friends, our family, all gathered together here in Belgium with us.

In-ho and I looked into the audience and suddenly I realized that I was homesick for Seoul. It was one perfect moment, a moment for an eternity – but after I knew that it was time to say farewell and go home. In-ho probably shared my thoughts, he gently pressed my hand and whispered. "We'll see them again, wherever we go. Even if Jun-ho and Mi-na should decide to stay in Europe, we'll see them again, we are family. Besides; look at her."

Jun-ho and Mi-na stood in the first row as our witnesses but now I noticed it: Mi-na's hand was on her tummy and I hadn't seen her drinking any alcohol for some time now. "Oh!", I gasped. "Do you reallythink she's...?"

In-ho grinned. "I think we'll have a little nephew or niece in the not too distant future." I blissfully looked at my husband, in disbelief of all this happiness, wondering how we had deserved it. We had been fighting so long and now finally everything was perfect. Wherever we would go, we'd never be apart. "Till death do us part, Frontman?", I asked, my arm around his shoulders. In-ho grinned and kissed me passionately. "Even then I'll still be with you, haunting you as a ghost."

It was a promise forever, a promise valid until the end of all time.
