The next few days went by fast.
I went to school, but my mind was on the upcoming weekend. I kept texting with Rain, and we would spend hours chatting about everything and nothing.
I found myself thinking about her all the time. I never expected that a chance meeting would change my life so much. It was a scary, but exciting feeling.
"Hey dude, focus on class." Ira said, nudging me with his elbow, I had not even realized he was here.
"Dude! How long have you been here?" I asked.
"Since the bell. Are you good?" Ira said.
Suddenly, the teacher cleared her throat.
"Mr. Y/N, please read the next part of the text" The teacher asked.
I looked to my page and started to read, but I didn't remember anything from the class, "I'm sorry, professor but, I forgot what we're doing"
The professor just sighed "Of course. Stay after class" She said, she always was kinda scary.
When class ended I stayed and went to the professor.
"I know it's only been a couple of weeks but you can't lose your focus. Your grades are too good to throw it all away" She said,
"I know, I know, I promise it won't happen again"
"Good, do you know what's going to be on the test? if you do all of that it will be a waste of time" She said, and sighed.
"Just get a hold of yourself. I know you can, maybe you'll find the rain that you can only be with in the summer" She then smiled and gave me a pat on the back.
That's strange, I don't remember mentioning her to my professor "Thank you, professor. I will make sure to do my best."
Finally, the weekend came.
Rain and I planned to meet at a local park. I was so nervous I changed my outfit like three times before deciding on some simple jeans and a plain T-shirt. Gotta look presentable, you know?
"You really are acting weird today, you never do that" My mom said, which only made me more nervous.
"Am I? Well, I don't notice" I said going to the door, ready to get out of here.
"Just be careful."
"Of course, Mom, Bye" I said.
I arrived at the park early, wanting to make sure she wasn't kept waiting. My heart was beating so fast I thought it was going to come out of my chest.
What do I do? What do I say?
As I waited, I started to think about what I was going to do. This was my first time in a long time, so I had a plan.
What would people call a date or something, I was ready for this. I did this a lot of times in video games so there was no way something would go wrong!
As I waited, I saw her.
Rain was wearing a sundress, with her hair down. She looked like a goddess in my eyes. I hadn't seen her outside of the rain before, and I was blown away by how beautiful she was.
It was like she was glowing. I even forgot the script I had planned out.
"Y/N!" Rain said with a bright smile, as she approached me.
"Hey, Rain" I replied, my nervousness melting away when she smiled at me. Why did she make me feel like this?
"I'm so happy to see you again!" She said as she gave me a hug. It was a warm, comforting hug, and I never wanted it to end. Did she feel the same?
"Me too" I said.
We spent the day in the park, walking, talking, laughing, and sharing ice cream.
I felt like I was in a dream.
Every moment I spent with Rain made me happier than I had ever been.
I loved the sound of her laugh, the way she looked at me, and how she was so interested in everything I had to say.
Like I am everything in the world.
As the day went on, we talked about our dreams for the future.
I told Rain that I always wanted to travel the world, but I never really had the confidence to do so. Rain told me that her dream was to be a famous singer.
"You really can do that, I know you can" I said. "You have such a beautiful voice, I'm sure everyone would be glad to hear it" What was that about her singing badly.
"You really think so?" She asked looking at me, was she testing me? What did she want to hear.
"I know so, you can do everything you want to do" Why would someone as perfect as her ask me that question.
She didn't need my affirmation.
We promised that we would help each other achieve our dreams. I promised to go to all her concerts, and Rain promised to travel with me. It was nice to have a future.
"Thank you, Y/N, you know exactly what to say!" Rain said giggling.
As the sun began to set, Rain suddenly became quiet, a strange look on her face.
"Y/N" she said, her voice soft. "I want to show you something."
"Okay" I said, wondering what she was going to show me.
Rain pulled me to a secluded part of the park, under a big tree. She had laid out a picnic blanket, with lots of snacks and drinks.
"I made this for us" she said with a smile.
My heart melted. "You did all this for me?"
"Of course, i did. I want to make you happy, Y/N" Rain said. "I want to do everything for you, so I can make your life better than ever!"
We sat on the blanket, enjoying the food, and just enjoying each other's company.
As we talked, Rain started to get closer to me. Her hand brushed mine, and I felt electricity run through me. I had never experienced anything like this before.
"Y/N" Rain said, her voice low and soft, almost like a whisper. "I have to tell you something."
"What is it?" I asked, feeling my heart beat faster.
"I... I think I like you, Y/N" she said, her cheeks blushing red. "A lot."
I felt my breath catch in my throat. I had been hoping for this, but now that it was happening too fast.
I felt speechless. "I... I like you too, Rain," I managed to say.
Rain smiled. She leaned in closer, and I found myself drawn to her. Our lips met, and I felt like I was floating.
It was a gentle, sweet kiss, one I wanted to last forever.
When we finally broke apart, we were both breathless.
"Y/N" Rain said, her eyes staring intently into mine. "Will you be my boyfriend?"
"Yes" I said without hesitation. "Yes, I will, Rain."
Rain giggled happily and kissed me again. I had never been happier.
I had a girlfriend, and it was the most perfect girl in the world.
I could hardly believe that all this was happening to me. I looked at the sky, and even the clouds seemed to smile at me.
I was the luckiest guy in the world.
We stayed in the park for hours, cuddling and kissing, not wanting the day to end. As night came, we decided to head home. I walked Rain back to her apartment, still on cloud nine.
"i had so much fun today, Y/N" Rain said as we reached her door. "Thank you so much for everything."
"I had fun too" I said, still smiling like a fool.
"I can't wait to see you again" Rain said, her eyes full of affecton.
"Me too" I said as we shared one more kiss. I hope everything keeps going like this, and she won't ever leave me alone.
We said our goodbyes, and I watched as Rain went into her apartment. As I turned to leave, I couldn't help but feel this overwhelming sense of happiness.
This was exactly what I always wanted. I finally had a girlfriend, a beautiful, sweet, and kind girl. Now I won't be alone!
I walked home that night, replaying the day's events in my head. I couldn't stop smiling. This was the best day of my life. When I got home, I jumped into my bed and hugged my pillow as I replayed all the moments I had with Rain.
Before I closed my eyes, I smiled, ready to face the next day. I knew that now, my life was finally complete. I fell asleep immediately, I didn't even take a bath.
Y/N's life changed the moment he met Rain, and he didn't know that it was only the start.
The start of something amazing.
I should go to sleep now, I can't miss school or Rain. I'm finally not alone so I should cherish this.
I should thank god for blessing me.
