Nyx had been at Trinity Integrated Academy for a few weeks now, and the novelty of being a student had begun to wear off. The Makeup Work Club, where she had been placed, was a far cry from the vibrant and dynamic environment she had imagined. The students were a mix of personalities, each with their own quirks and idiosyncrasies.
Koharu Shimoe was the energetic and somewhat eccentric member who often found herself at the center of attention. Her constant chatter and unpredictable behavior kept everyone on their toes.
Urawa Hanako was the mischievous one, always ready with a prank or a teasing remark. Her playful nature often led to unexpected situations, much to Nyx's chagrin.
Hifumi Ajitani was the calm and collected one, often acting as the voice of reason among the group. Her level-headedness provided a sense of stability in the midst of chaos.
Azusa Shirasu was the quiet observer, often lost in her own thoughts. Her mysterious demeanor added an air of intrigue to the group.
Despite their unique personalities, Nyx found it challenging to connect with them. Her thoughts often drifted back to Seia Yurizono, the leader of the Sanctus faction and a member of the Tea Party. Seia's composed demeanor and intelligence had captivated Nyx from the moment they met.
One afternoon, as Nyx was lost in thought, she felt a tap on her shoulder. Turning around, she saw Hanako grinning mischievously.
"Hey, Nyx! We're going to the swimming pool. You should join us!" Hanako exclaimed.
Nyx hesitated. She wasn't particularly fond of swimming, and the idea of spending time in a swimsuit made her uncomfortable.
"I don't know, Hanako..." Nyx began.
"Come on! It'll be fun. We can all bond," Hanako insisted, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Reluctantly, Nyx agreed. She couldn't bring herself to disappoint Hanako, especially after all the effort she had put into making Nyx feel welcome.
At the pool, Nyx was taken aback by the sight of Hanako in a dark blue, revealing swimsuit. The outfit left little to the imagination, and Nyx felt her face flush with embarrassment.
"What do you think?" Hanako asked, spinning around to show off her swimsuit.
"It's... uh... very bold," Nyx stammered, trying to avert her gaze.
Hanako laughed. "You're so uptight, Nyx. Loosen up a bit!"
Nyx felt increasingly uncomfortable. She had never been one for revealing clothing, and Hanako's carefree attitude only highlighted her own insecurities.
Deciding she had had enough, Nyx excused herself and left the pool area. As she walked down the hallway, she bumped into Mika Misono, the former leader of the Pater faction and a member of the Tea Party.
Mika's eyes narrowed as she saw Nyx. Without a word, she drew a gun and pointed it directly at Nyx's head.
"Don't approach me," Mika said coldly.
Nyx was taken aback. She had never expected such hostility from Mika.
"Why? What did I do?" Nyx asked, her voice trembling.
Mika's expression softened slightly. "It's for the best," she replied. "I know what you're trying to do—get close to Seia."
Nyx's heart skipped a beat. She had been trying to get to know Seia better, but she hadn't realized it was so obvious.
"It's not like that," Nyx protested. "She's like an idol to me."
Mika's eyes hardened. "You remind me of Gehenna," she said bitterly. "Reckless and dangerous."
Nyx was taken aback. She had heard of Gehenna, a school known for its unruly students and chaotic environment.
"I don't understand," Nyx said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Mika sighed, lowering her gun. "I sense extreme danger from you," she said. "Total annihilation."
Nyx felt a chill run down her spine. She had no idea what Mika was talking about, but the intensity in her eyes was unmistakable.
Mika turned and walked away, leaving Nyx standing there, confused and unsettled.
Later, when Nyx met up with the others, Hifumi noticed her troubled expression.
"Are you okay?" Hifumi asked, concern evident in her voice.
"I'm fine," Nyx replied, forcing a smile.
Koharu, however, wasn't convinced. "You don't look fine," she said, her tone accusatory.
Nyx sighed. She didn't want to burden them with her problems, especially after everything they had done for her.
"It's nothing," she said, brushing off their concerns.
