Chapter 15
Sky stepped back into the room after a few minutes, expecting to find Nani ready for bed. What he didn't expect was to find Nani standing there, dressed in the soft pink pajamas Sky had handed him, looking... absolutely adorable.
The pajamas, a little too big, hung loosely on Nani's frame, the pink fabric contrasting with his usual cool, almost aloof demeanor. Nani's hair was still slightly damp from the shower. And his fair skin make him look even cuter in pink clothes.
Sky froze. His heart gave an unexpected jolt, and before he even knew it, he was taking a step closer, completely lost in the sight of Nani standing there like that.
He was so caught up in the overwhelming cuteness of the moment that his instincts nearly took over, and before he could stop himself, he almost reached out to hug Nani, pull him close, feel the warmth of him.
But he caught himself just in time, stopping mid-motion.
Nani looked at Sky, his eyes gleaming with mischief. Before Sky could even react, Nani closed the distance, stepping into his space and wrapping his arms around Sky's waist. "If you want to hug me." Nani said, his voice teasing but steady, "you need to be brave."
He tilted his head slightly, lifting his chin to look Sky directly in the eyes, challenging him with a gaze that held both warmth and dare.
Sky's pulse raced, every inch of him acutely aware of the closeness between them. His breath hitched, and for a moment, he didn't know whether to step back or lean in. "Nani..." he murmured again, but his voice faltered.
Nani's smirk deepened, his gaze never leaving Sky's face. "I'm giving you a chance." Nani said, his voice almost a challenge. "But you have to decide if you're going to take it or not."
He could barely get the words out, his voice thick with emotion. "I... I don't know if I can, Nani."
Nani leaned in just a little closer, his breath brushing against Sky's ear, sending a shiver down his spine. "You're not the only one who's afraid," Nani murmured, his voice hushed but unmistakably close, almost like a whisper meant just for Sky. "But I'm still here, still waiting. The question is, will you reach out, or let the moment slip away?"
"I... I want to." Sky finally admitted, his voice barely above a whisper, raw and vulnerable.
Nani's lips quirked into a smile, and he took a small step back, just enough to let the tension build. "Then take a chance, Sky."
"Do you want me to?" Sky asked, the words slipping out before he could stop them, the question hanging heavy between them.
Nani's smile grew, his gaze intense as he watched Sky's hesitation slip away. "If I were not, I wouldn't be here, standing in front of you wearing... this." Nani's voice was teasing, the spark in his eyes a challenge. "And you wouldn't have the chance to asked me this question."
Without waiting for another response, Sky closed the gap between them, his movements confident, assured. His lips met Nani's, soft at first, testing the waters, but the moment their mouths touched, everything changed.
Nani's heart hammered in his chest as he kissed Sky back, his hands instinctively pulling him closer. "Sky," Nani whispered, his voice low and full of intensity, "open your mouth."
Sky hesitated for a split second, then did as Nani asked, his breath mingling with Nani's as their kiss deepened further.
Sky was lost in the heat of the moment, his breath quickening as he pushed Nani back gently, enough to make him fall onto the bed. Without a second thought, Sky followed, his body pressing against Nani's as he straddled him, the closeness almost unbearable. Nani responded immediately, pulling Sky in for a deeper kiss, tasting every inch of his mouth as if he couldn't get enough.
Sky's breath faltered, his heart racing, but just as he was about to lose himself in the kiss, Nani pulled back slightly, his lips hovering over Sky's, sensing that Sky was running out of breath. Their faces were close, foreheads touching, both of them breathless and heavy with unspoken words.
Neither of them moved, their gazes locked, as if both were trying to process what was happening. The tension between them was thick, charged with a kind of urgency they hadn't felt before.
Sky was still processing everything, but Nani's hand on his neck, pulling him in closer, silenced his doubts. There was nothing but the feeling of Nani beneath him, the warmth of his body, and the electric pull that connected them.
But before they could go further, there was a sudden, sharp knock at the door.
It was like a bucket of cold water. Both of them froze, eyes wide with shock.
Sky, caught off guard, quickly pulled away, his heart hammering in his chest. Despite being physically larger than Nani, Sky still felt like an innocent kid in moments like this, unsure of how to control his reactions.
His instincts kicked in, and he hastily grabbed a blanket, wrapping it around himself like a shield, burying his face in the soft fabric in an attempt to hide the obvious tension.
Nani, still flushed with the heat of their shared moment, could feel the same surge of desire, but he managed to maintain a little more control. His lips curled into a small, amused smile as he watched Sky scramble to cover himself, looking every bit like a flustered teenager.
"Really, Sky?" Nani chuckled softly, the teasing note in his voice not quite hiding the lingering tension. "You look like you're trying to hide from your own thoughts."
Sky could barely meet Nani's gaze, but Nani didn't push him. Instead, he walked towards the door.
When he opened the door, he found Win standing there, squinting as if it took every ounce of energy to keep his eyes open. He was still clearly drunk, his movements slow and uncoordinated. Win looked at Nani with a frown, clearly confused.
"Where... where are you, Nani?" Win mumbled, blinking as if he had to adjust to the light. "I woke up, and Dew was there, but I couldn't find Nani. Where is Nani?"
Nani let out a small sigh, shaking his head at the sight of Win's disoriented state. Despite his frustration, Nani couldn't bring himself to be angry at him.
Nani couldn't help but laugh softly. "Come on, let's get you back to the guest room before you fall over." He turned to glance back at Sky, who was still hidden under the blanket, trying his best to regain composure.
After take Win back to the guest room, It take some time before Nani and Sky would fully be able to move past the tension they had created.
As Nani returned to the bed, he found Sky curled up, facing away from him. Nani's fingers brushed against Sky's shoulder as he sat beside him, causing Sky to flinch slightly in surprise, looking up at Nani with wide, innocent eyes. Nani couldn't help but let out a soft laugh at Sky's reaction, the warmth of the moment settling in between them.
"Go to sleep, Sky," Nani whispered gently, his tone low and soothing.
Sky nodded, a little embarrassed, but rolled to the other side of the bed to give Nani space. But even as he lay there, his mind raced, and sleep refused to come. The moment they'd shared earlier still lingered in his chest, and his heartbeat was quick and erratic.
Sensing Sky's restlessness, Nani turned to face him, his eyes soft and calm as he met Sky's gaze. "Come closer." Nani murmured.
Sky, mesmerized by the charm and sincerity in Nani's eyes, found himself moving closer without a second thought. Nani's presence was magnetic, and before he knew it, Sky had shifted, drawn in by the soothing pull.
Nani leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to the tip of Sky's eyelashes. The last time Sky had cried, Nani had done the same, and it had calmed him down. Nani had remembered that moment well, and he could tell it still worked as he watched Sky's eyes flutter closed, a soft breath escaping his lips.
Wrapping his arm around Sky's broad shoulders, Nani gently patted him, urging him to relax. "Go to sleep, Sky." he whispered again. He felt Sky's body relax under his touch, and the tension between them began to fade, replaced by a peaceful stillness.
With Nani's presence grounding him, Sky finally succumbed to the pull of sleep, his body melting into the comfort of Nani's arms. And just like that, everything went quiet as the night embraced them.
