Chapter 46

Around midnight, Nani lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep. He had a craving. No, a deep, soul-consuming need for Korean food. He glanced at Sky, who was sleeping soundly beside him.

At first, Nani tried to ignore it, not wanting to wake Sky, but the more he thought about it, the more unbearable it became. His stomach grumbled, his lips trembled, and before he knew it... he was tearing up.

Sky stirred at the soft sound of sniffles. He blinked sleepily, then quickly turned on the bedside lamp when he realized Nani was actually crying. Panic shot through him. "Nani, what's wrong? Are you hurt?" he asked, voice laced with concern.

Nani sniffled dramatically. "I... I want Korean food" he mumbled, wiping his eyes.

Sky stared at him for a second before bursting into laughter. "Are you serious?" He couldn't help himself. Nani looked both adorable and ridiculous, crying over late-night cravings. Unable to resist, he pulled Nani into his arms, squeezing him gently.

But Nani didn't laugh with him. If anything, his pout deepened. "Sky, I really want it..."

Still chuckling, Sky grabbed his phone and dialed the only person crazy enough to help at this hour, Win.

After a few rings, a very groggy Win picked up. "Sky, do you have any idea what time...."

"Where can we get Korean food this late?" Sky cut in.

There was silence on the other end before Win groaned. "Are you seriously waking me up for...."

"Nani's hungry." Sky added.

Another pause. Then, all traces of sleepiness vanished from Win's voice. "I'll be there in ten min. Get ready. Anything for my nephew."

Sky hung up, shaking his head with a smile before turning back to Nani. "Alright, let's go. Your midnight craving is officially Win's problem now."

Nani finally broke into a small, satisfied smile, snuggling closer to Sky for a moment before getting up.

When they arrived at the restaurant, Nani wasted no time flipping through the menu, eyes shining with excitement.

He ordered almost everything that caught his attention, kimchi stew, tteokbokki, Korean fried chicken, bulgogi, and even a plate of gimbap. Sky and Win exchanged amused glances but let him indulge. After all, a craving was a craving.

When the food finally arrived, Nani eagerly took small bites of everything, savoring the flavors he had been dreaming about. But after only a few tastes, he set his chopsticks down with a satisfied sigh. "I'm full." he announced, leaning back in his seat.

Win and Prim, who had been watching in disbelief, gawked at him. "Full?! You ordered half the menu, Nani!" Win exclaimed.

Prim, who had been quietly sipping her tea, blinked at the mountain of food left untouched. "So... what do we do with all this?" she asked hesitantly.

Win sighed dramatically. "What else? We eat it." He rolled up his sleeves, looking at Prim. "Come on, Prim, you're in this with me."

Prim pouted but picked up her chopsticks anyway. "This is not what I planned for my midnight snack..." she mumbled.

Sky chuckled, already expecting this outcome. He signaled the waiter and ordered a fresh fruit drink for Nani. Ever since Nani started carrying their baby, he had developed a habit of drinking fruit juice after every meal, saying it made his throat feel refreshed.

When the drink arrived, Sky placed it in front of Nani. "Here. Drink this. I know you'll start craving something fresh in a minute."

Nani smiled sheepishly, taking a sip. "You know me too well."

Sky smirked, gently wiping a small bit of sauce from the corner of Nani's lips. "Of course, I do. Now, let's sit back and enjoy the show."

They both turned to Win and Prim, who were dramatically stuffing themselves with all the leftover food, grumbling about how they were being used as human trash cans.

Nani laughed softly, feeling warm and happy. He may have only eaten a little, but his heart was completely full.

After they finished their late-night feast, Prim suddenly perked up. "I want ice cream." Win groaned, rubbing his full stomach. "Prim, we just ate enough to feed an entire family."

Prim ignored him. "Ice cream," she repeated, already leading the way to the convenience store.

Since there was no arguing with Prim and Nani when they wanted something, Win made a quick stop at the mart on their way home.

But as soon as they stepped inside, they were met with an unexpected sight—Dew and Tee, sitting at one of the small tables near the window, enjoying instant noodles and beer.

Everyone froze for a moment.

"Wait, wait, wait," Win said, pointing at them in disbelief. "You two are out here having a secret late-night date with cup noodles and beer, and you didn't even invite us? Betrayal!"

Tee chuckled while Dew, ever just sighed and shook his head. "It's not a secret date," Tee said casually. "We just wanted something simple."

"That's what all secret date people say," Win shot back, sliding into the seat next to them. Prim followed, grinning as she pulled up a chair. "Yeah, yeah, no need to explain. We're third-wheeling now." she teased.

While Win and Prim busied themselves annoying Dew and Tee, Sky gently tugged Nani toward the ice cream freezer. "Come on, let's get your ice cream before you start pouting."

Nani huffed. "I don't pout."

Sky smirked but didn't argue. Instead, he helped Nani pick out his favorite flavors, tossing in a few extra snacks just in case Nani got hungry again later.

Sky and Nani joined the others at the table, Nani eating his ice cream while the rest of them continued their playful banter.

As Nani finished the last few bites of his ice cream, his eyelids started to droop. He blinked sluggishly, fighting the drowsiness creeping in, but Sky noticed immediately. A small, fond smile tugged at his lips.

"I think it's time to head home." Sky said softly.

Nani hummed sleepily in response, leaning a little against Sky's shoulder.

Win, who had been in the middle of an exaggerated story, groaned. "Already? We just got here!"

Sky shot him a pointed look before nodding toward Nani. "He's tired. We should let Dew and Tee have some peaceful moments too."

Win glanced at Nani, who was barely keeping his eyes open, and let out a dramatic sigh. "Alright, alright. Can't have my precious nephew getting too tired now, can we?"

Tomorrow morning, Nani woke up early, his body naturally stirring before the sun had fully risen. Just as he was about to get out of bed, a warm hand wrapped around his wrist, gently pulling him back in.

"Where do you think you're going?" Sky mumbled sleepily, his voice husky from sleep. "It's the weekend. Stay a little longer."

Nani blinked, realizing Sky was right. It was the weekend. A soft smile spread across his lips as he let himself relax, sinking back into Sky's embrace. He nestled closer, wrapping his arms around Sky, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.

Just as Nani was about to drift back into sleep, the sound of the doorbell echoed through the house. He groaned softly, burying his face into Sky's chest.

Sky chuckled, pressing a lazy kiss to Nani's forehead. "Looks like someone's here."

Nani sighed but made no move to get up. "Ignore it. They'll go away."

But the ringing persisted, followed by the unmistakable voices of their parents calling out their names. Sky's eyes widened slightly. "Wait... didn't our parents just come back from abroad?"

Nani suddenly sat up, his drowsiness disappearing. "Oh no... they must have brought baby stuff again."

Sure enough, when they opened the door, Nani's mother and Sky's parents stood there with bright smiles and arms full of bags. "Surprise!" Nani's mother beamed. "We saw so many cute things for the baby, we just couldn't resist!"

Sky's father nodded proudly.

"But we don't even know the baby's gender yet, Dad," Sky said, raising an eyebrow.

His father waved a hand dismissively. "That doesn't matter. As long as they're born healthy, that's all that counts."

"Exactly!" Nani's mother chimed in with a bright smile. "Boy or girl, they'll be loved just the same."

Nani simply nodded, not saying much as he helped his mother and Sky's parents unpack all the baby items. There were tiny clothes in neutral colors, soft blankets, plush toys, and even a few books for early childhood learning.

Sky watched Nani quietly, noticing the soft look in his eyes as he carefully folded a tiny onesie. Even though Nani wasn't saying much, Sky could tell that Nani was happy. This baby was already so loved.
