Chapter 50
Even as Sky fed Nani, Nani's attention was completely on the twins. His eyes never left them, especially as they slept peacefully in their cribs.
The firstborn, a boy, had arrived just as Win had wished, his nephew came first. Nani had named him Niran, a name that carried such a deep and beautiful meaning, eternal, forever, symbolizing an unbreakable bond.
For their daughter, Nani had chosen Suwan, meaning golden, radiant, or heavenly, symbolizing warmth, brightness, and something precious just like the sky at sunrise.
Together, Niran & Suwan meant "Eternal & Radiant" a reflection of their parents' love, something unbreakable and shining.
Sky chuckled as he scooped another spoonful of food. "Nani, open your mouth a little more. You're making a mess."
Nani blinked, snapping out of his daze. He hadn't even realized he was barely eating properly. Sky laughed at how distracted he was, shaking his head.
"You're worse than the babies." Sky teased, gently wiping the corner of Nani's lips.
Nani smiled sheepishly but didn't take his eyes off their children. Sky sighed, amused, as he watched Nani's attention drift completely away from the spoonful of food he was supposed to be eating. No matter how many times Sky tried to get him to focus, Nani's eyes never left their newborns.
With a small shake of his head, Sky reached over and gently pushed the babies' crib closer to the bed. "There. Now maybe you'll actually eat." he said with a teasing smirk.
Nani only hummed in response, his gaze still locked onto their twins. His heart swelled as he watched them, so small, so perfect.
Niran, their firstborn, was peaceful and quiet, barely making a sound since the moment he entered the world. Meanwhile, Suwan, his little sister, made sure everyone knew she was here, crying more often and demanding all the attention she could get.
Sky chuckled softly as Suwan let out a tiny huff, her fists clenching as if she had something important to say. "She's got your attitude." he teased, nudging Nani lightly.
Nani scoffed, but the pride in his eyes was unmistakable. "She just knows what she wants." he said, stroking her tiny fingers as they curled around his own. "And she looks like me."
Sky nodded, brushing a gentle fingertip over Suwan's soft cheek. "Especially her eyes" he murmured. "Sharp, just like yours."
Nani smirked, glancing at their son, who was still fast asleep. "At least Niran is calm."
Sky grinned. "For now. But don't be fooled. I bet he's just waiting for the right moment. He's going to be just as stubborn."
Nani sighed dramatically, resting his head against Sky's shoulder. "Great. Two little troublemakers."
Sky let out a soft laugh and wrapped an arm around him, pressing a kiss to his hair. "Two perfect troublemakers" he corrected. "And they're ours."
Around the evening, Win and Dew arrived to visit. Of course, the moment Win stepped in, he made a beeline straight for Niran, while Dew naturally gravitated toward Suwan.
Nani watched the scene unfold and couldn't help but chuckle. It was obvious who was going to be their children's favorite uncles.
Win, grinning from ear to ear, carefully picked up Niran, holding him as if he had just won the grandest prize. "Look at him! He's got that calm, cool energy. Just like me." he boasted, rocking the baby gently.
Sky scoffed. "Please. He's nothing like you."
Meanwhile, Dew was completely captivated by Suwan, who had her tiny fingers curled around his own. "She's going to be a heartbreaker." he murmured, gently swaying with her in his arms. "She already knows how to demand attention."
Nani smirked. "That's what I said."
Win turned to Sky, pretending to look serious. "So, when do I start training Niran to be my heir?"
Sky rolled his eyes. "You're not stealing my son."
Win pouted dramatically. "Fine. But I'm his favorite uncle."
Dew, still focused on Suwan, smirked. "We'll see about that."
Sky and Nani exchanged amused glances. One thing was certain, the twins were already spoiled with love.
--
As the doctor finally cleared Nani and the twins for discharge, Sky couldn't hide his excitement. After days in the hospital, they were finally bringing Niran and Suwan home.
Sky carried Niran carefully in his arms while Nani held Suwan close, both of them wrapped snugly in soft blankets. Nani was still a little weak, but his heart was full, knowing they were finally taking their babies home.
The moment they arrived, their house was already filled with warmth and laughter. Their families had gathered, waiting eagerly to welcome the little ones.
As soon as they stepped inside, Nani's mother was the first to rush over, her eyes shining with joy. "Let me see my grandchildren!" she gushed, gently taking Suwan from Nani's arms. Sky's mother was right behind her, reaching for Niran with the same eagerness.
"They're so small." Sky's father murmured, looking at the twins with wonder.
Prim crossed her arms and huffed. "I had to fight just to get near them! You guys are already hogging them!"
Everyone laughed, and the house buzzed with excitement. Win and Dew were already there, of course, standing smugly at the side as if they had VIP access to the babies.
"I think Niran's already taken a liking to me." Win said, leaning over Niran's crib with a proud smirk, gently tapping the baby's hand.
Dew looked at him, feigning shock. "Oh, please, don't kid yourself. I'm the one Suwan's going to fall in love with. Just wait."
Nani rolled his eyes, glancing at Sky. "You two are ridiculous."
Sky laughed, shaking his head. "I swear, they've barely even been here a minute and already they're fighting over who gets to spoil them first."
Win threw his hands up in mock surrender. "It's not our fault. We're just so charming."
Dew nodded, tapping his chest. "Exactly. Look at these faces. Who could resist?"
Nani raised an eyebrow. "I don't think the babies care much about charm yet."
"Well, they will." Win said with confidence. "They'll realize quickly who the cool uncle is."
Dew smirked. "Yeah, they'll realize that I'm the fun one."
Nani smirked, leaning closer to Sky. "Well, looks like I'll be dealing with these two forever."
Sky chuckled, pressing a kiss to Nani's cheek. "Yep, you're stuck with them."
The room was filled with teasing, laughter, and the sound of excited voices as everyone took turns admiring the twins. But amid the banter, one thing was certain—Niran and Suwan were already surrounded by so much love.
And, no matter how much Win and Dew fought over their attention, they would always have the most important thing: a family that adored them.
